Ya that really makes a difference when you pause on the root note that just playing it all the way through and then back again I totally got and heard the difference.

Wow. Finally. I’ve watched so many “modes” vids and this was the only one that made it far too ez. How you don’t have more likes is a damn shame. Thank you for making it so simple with the diagram shown !!!!

Yeah this is very helpful. I've been playing the full positions from "edge" note to edge and losing sight of the roots. Sometimes the root is on the A string and I don't want to not learn the 2 or 3 notes on the low E but I do tend to get lost. Thanks for this!

Excellent! I definitely think the root to root approach can be a game changer and is the perfect remedy when not seeing where roots are in a scale or mode. Glad it was helpful!

Bonjour Jared.

Great Video. Thanks Jared .I noticed one small mistake you made .When playing the aeolian scale you forgot to pause on the root (at the 15.52 mark) . :)

Seems strange to present modes without any substantial focus on the underlying harmony ,i.e. chords/progressions) and how it relates to the melody. i.e. context
