Scaling booster packs means taking them an weighing them, taking the heavier packs (the ones they assume have holographic cards in them) and sell the packs that seem lighter that might only have rares.

1st edition cards and packs can be hard to find after a long period of time, while Unlimited edition cards can be easier to find. For that reason 1st edition packs and cards are more valueable and wroth more than their counterparts.
the card being holo (shiny) means that it is a card of a higher rarity to get than the rares/commons you typically get out of packs. they are typically more useful than commons, and usually they're worth more money/trade value. there are other details but i wont get into them.

its annoying when yugioh openers breeze by the rest of the cards in packs to get to the foils. Foils may be where the money is but people do want certain cards in general and dont want to pause the video every milisecond.

A separate, 3rd party group buy massive amounts of Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! products, scale them to keep the heavier packs themselves, and repackage the other packs into these "Extreme Value" packs to re-sell. This is not Konami at all, but a scam. Do you understand now?

Any store that sells cards like walmart target they do these beacuse some people steal the packs in the tin or in special editio boxes etc so that theycan actually make a profit
