    If Nike really, genuinely cares about people not buying fake Nike sneakers then they would simply create more pairs and stop milking the hype train of "limited releases" all the way to the bank.
    Nike only care that stockx are making so much money off the back of the hype Nike itself designed and created with its limited releases and realize that money could be going to them. But they're not gonna change their model of limited releases so instead they're just suing stockx to regain some of that capital. It's actually a pretty pathetic move from a world conglomerate.

    A Huge problem that really had me disgusted with StockX, was that a couple of months ago I ordered a pair Yeezy 500’s “Blush”. A couple of days later I got an email saying the shoe didn’t make it through the authentication process & I was like damn “well at least they made sure I’m not getting a fake shoe” so then they told me I would get a full refund of $291. 84. (The Total Price of the shoe) & they literally said in the email it would take 3-7 Business Days. So when that time passed I still never got my money back & I checked my bank account multiple times. So then I reached out to customer service which was a horrible experience by the way. An actual person never helped me it was a damn automated bot that was asking me generated questions that had nothing to do with my shoe & there was no place that where I can actually speak with an employee. It was an extremely horrible experience overall. Also Please note I ordered those Yeezy’s March 11th & here we are may 11th & still haven’t been deposited my money back in my account! The other major problem with the “the sneaker game” is that most if not all sneakers are manufactured in Asia overseas anyways and in China and they are getting really good at replicating authentic pairs. Nike sees StockX as competition. They want everyone to buy from them instead of StockX. And StockX is a liability-they can make Nike look bad if they pass UA’s as authentic. StockX can simply say “hey, that’s just the way Nike made them” because they have a no-refund policy. I’ve seen that happen before.

    • @SC00TERTV

      How can stockX be competition when the shoes have originally been purchased from nike ? It’s not like stockX are making Nike shoes are they, they are all originally bought from the source which is Nike they’ve made there money with or without stockX in the picture it’s more about nikes reputation if stockX are selling fake shoes that are falling apart and poorly made it’s giving nike a bad name regards to quality

    • @TripleKmafia
      @TripleKmafia 2 года назад +1

      @@SC00TERTV That’s a good question, and I get where you’re coming from. The problem I’m talking about is they lose profit from all of those sales on StockX. Nike isn’t a stock exchange like StockX is. StockX makes huge profits from the sales and fluctuations of shoes and other items. Nike can only set retail prices bringing in less money.
      A limited Nike dunk or Jordan 1 costs about $110-$200 on Nike’s website. On StockX they can go for hundreds or thousands depending on it’s stock. They lose all of that money to their competitors constantly trading, selling, and buying. Thanks for the great question. Now others can understand why it’s a bad thing for Nike. And, the fakes going around paints a bad image for both StockX and Nike. If they let fakes slide, it’ll make buyers and sellers think they only want profit and don’t care about fakes. They’re right to an extent, but Nike’s lawsuit clearly shows them against fakes. Who wouldn’t be? I wouldn’t want my products to be replicated and sold either-that’s losing profit and it’s illegal.

    It’s always been a simple solution & it’s completely laughable that brands like Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas, Yeezy don’t address it. They have to be getting kickbacks from the resell market, when all you have to do is produce larger quantities. If you create a sneaker & slap Travis Scott’s name & logos all over it and then sell it for $175-$250, millions are going to want it. So, make more pairs even if you have to do a second or third production run. We know Nike is notorious for holding onto stock & releasing it at their own discretion. Personally I wouldn’t want to constantly put a product out, sell that product & then have someone who doesn’t work for me make 10x what I originally sold that product for unless I’m somehow profiting on said transactions

Nike (and buyer/sellers) could easily expose fake codes and shoes, and we could much more easily verify if the pair we’re buying is coming from the registered owner/s. I purchased Jordan 1 Mid Tan Gum back in February. The first pair I bought I never received, so I bought it again. This one came in. Though the condition was absolutely horrible. The tongue of the shoe looked absolutely battered, more than usual. There were scratches all over the lining/heel of the shoe, and there was what seemed to be blood stains on one of the tongues and on the laces (which came on the shoe). There was also tan paint on the tongue right near the Jordan logo which led me to believe my pair might be fakes.
    Overall I didn't end up returning it (despite still having the tag on when I noticed it) because it took 3 months just to get the pair to my house with all of these complications through the shipping system. I find that Stock X is quite the horrible place to buy shoes, and I'm honestly willing to buy elsewhere for a bit more, just to make sure that my shoes are actually authentic. I was truly disappointed with the outcome of me purchasing from Stock X, and I can guarantee that I will not be buying from them ever again. They've disgusted me.

      All of em should be closed down. They are not needed. This is why your $200 dollar shoe costs $1000. Be aware they buy a majority of the shoes and make up a bottom price. Then they let us jack it up by bidding. But we are bidding against the company itself.

    I work in manufacturing. Somewhat irrelevant, somewhat relevant. Look at the bigger picture of things… when I slack at work or I see people slack at work I instantly get the thought of what this is going to do to our consumer… when their product straight from us that has been “processed” and taken good care of is delivered not how it should’ve been. Same case here. StockX isn’t robots, it’s humans, just like us. They get lazy. I’m sure it’s a team and they all get assigned a certain amount of shoes based on the number of orders for that day/shift (however their employees do their scheduling…) and I’m sure plenty of employees just skim it over and make sure there’s no obvious falsifications to the shoe and then just throw the StockX tag on. When you sit back and think about how it’s ran, no way every shoe is authentic. It’s sad to say but there’s always at least ONE employee with a lack of drive. It could be just that day and that poor customer is the one who suffers when they get fake Patent Breds.

    Just by curiosity, I have compared a pair of legit Jordan 5's from Nike Store with a pair of High-quality Replicas of the same colorway, and INCREDIBLY I found a WAY BETTER QUALITY in the Fake ones! So I must say, "everything is relative in this weird world" man!

    That would be right down Nikes alley to give up on a release if you don’t get them at retail, also Nike doesn’t protect the customers. They use third party delivery companies and the rare releases never reach you. At this point I don’t know who to believe when there’s no actual proof of counterfeit

    I bought a pair Nike SB dunk on StockX. they were creased, glue was everywhere, they were dirty and the stitching was all messed up. And they won’t allow me to return the shoe.

    Look at StockX shoe verses the local mall shoe store. StockX sold us a fake pair of shoes and when we complained sent them back they said they were worn. You can clearly see they aren’t worn. I brought the same shoe from a local mall store and they aren’t the same. You can tell the real verses the fake shoe.

    The hard truth is that the problem is actually most of us consumers, why do people want to have the exact same stuff that everyone else is buying/wearing? people saying that the problem is that Nike isn't producing enough products, they really have no idea what they're talking about, every shoe is mass produced, the problem is that sneakers are very mainstream right now so everyone wants to buy the same dunk, the same Jordan 1, 4 etc... And seriously if you were not able to buy that "limited" shoe why would you want to buy a FAKE SHOE? people obsessing with impressing other people is the real problem, there are hundreds of other Nike products, literally always available, literally going on sales all the time, plus dozens of other brands with they're own lines... Fake shoes exists because of people are buying them and if they answer back with "Nike is not making enough shoes" well re evaluate yourself, Nike is watering down the quality because people demand more and more products... But when Nike increases quality and consequently the prices the shoes pretty often end up in sales.. stockX is not the evil, neither the savior they are actually a natural answer to the sneaker current market, stockX exists because most people don't want fakes, but some idi*ts trying to impress other idi*ts are making the counterfeit market a million dollar industry and so we all have to pay for this kind of services yet they still claim Nike isn't producing enough... Ok.

    It could be that Nike is saying that the shoes were fake because of the whole NFT situation to get leverage over Stockx and stop some people from buying from them

    Support your small businesses. Stop buying from stockx with 60$ shipping and fees. There's ppl in your local town that probs are trying to flip sneakers and yall over looking them bc they ain't giving the deals but would rather pay 60$ shipping and fee from cockx..

    The process of buying a shoe from stockX should have been a dead giveaway they send the shoe to a facility in china to "authenticate" the shoe, it's shady shad stuff.

  • @GO0CHI
    @GO0CHI 2 года назад

    So I attended StockX day in Detroit in 2017 and got to see their authentication process live, their storage, as well as their office. It’s more low tech than they try to get you to believe. Products are sprawled across tables and one of the guys I saw doing verification was not doing much verifying of anything. Mainly was just on his phone and flexing with products that weren’t his.
