Crazy thing is stock x charges buyers a authentication fee & still gets it wrong. They should be shut down
they also charge the seller an authentication fee :D they make ~ 30% on a sale in total.
For a level 3 seller, it is ListPrice - 13% (auth and payment processing (6%)) - 10$ (shipping)
So on a 200 $shoe, they sell it for 240/250$ , and they payout 164$ to the seller. It is an EXTREMELY predatory business model.
Thats around 80$ in auth and pay fees. Then they spend 1 minute on authentication..... someone is having a good time.
It is actually insane how this model, with these parameters are even legal. They do everything in their power to hide how much of a cut they actually take. And then on top of it all, they sell fakes, which again takes profits from the real sellers, by pushing prices down and flooding the market with product.

I'd suggest just using AI to counter this. AI can match pin point detail and it will develop the accuracy over time. Hence preventing resell of fakes.

Not only shoes but almost everything else from bags to belts and accessories are fake. I tried to get a Marc Jacob’s bag for my girl and I went to verify it at the mall store and it was fake. I knew they wouldn’t help me because they probably knew (they have a distribution center in China, how convenient) so I just put it back on their market.

When I send fakes to stockx, I make sure to use the authentic box, paper, everything. They always get authenticated. I buy from one of the best sellers that I will not be naming here.

I've bought three pairs of shoes that I've never seen faked, one pair the was just absolutely no reason to fake, they are inside outs, nothing special worth faking, the other two were received with a real box and they were both the denim Jordan 1s, I'm a sneaker head and know for sure, my the Pairs from them were authentic but I can assume that there is obviously a good chance of fakes, probably in the low single percentile of all shoes sold and that's actually quite a lot
This is no different than NFL jerseys. These 'fakes' are more likely made in the same factory as the real ones, and they just run some extras off.

TRY A MORE EXPENSiVE PAIR
Seller sold me some GOD Reps 350 Black NR that he got from StockX... It's crazy how good some of these fakes are. Only flaw on the shoe are shoe box size label serial number that's not much the serial number for that actual size 9.5. When I type in the number it shows up for a size 7. The other flaw was the heal tab off by 1/4 inch on one side. Black light and smell test passed. Everything else passed... Luckily he took them back and gave my money back. But he said he didn't know it.
Or the dude is a scammer and he put the blame on StockX 👀
