- Today i'm counting down the laziest and worst collaborations ever made! We talk about great collaborations all the time on the channel, Jordan x Off White, A Ma Maniere x Jordan, Sacai x Nike are great examples. So to find out how bad the laziest collabs really are i went out and bought the worst ones i could find. We've got Travis Scott x Nike, Billie Eilish x Nike, Crocs x JJJJound and a ton more!

So many of these collabs show the power of logos or names. You can drop a product that retails for $30 slap a logo on it and it sells for hundreds without changing anything else. Some people just be clowning over brand name.

People forget the Certified Lover Boys had a custom tooling mold made for the heart studs which replaced the stars all over the midsole. Considering the tooling molds will probably never ve used on another shoe, that does elevate the sneaker a bit more.

Nike made you think that creating a heart tooling mode is a large undertaking 😂 It’s literally just a different mold.
@@bloblobberr Facts... Yes it cost a lot for a low lvl company to have a mold produced. But NIKE is on a different lvl. Willing to bet they have their own factory.
@@bloblobberr Nike didn't make me think shit. They still went out of their way to change the stars to something else (which rarely happens btw) and I think it's a nice detail that doesn't always get pointed out.

You forget the mention that the grooves in the Drake Air Forces have hearts instead of stars, that makes all the difference 😅

i don't see an issue with the tiffany air force 1 collab honestly, you see right away that it's special, it has a metal patch, signature color and diffrent material. tbf 400$ is a stretch but still
Funny you mention you can buy the collab Air Force 1s for better leather, because I assume that means they're the Fresh model rebranded (their version which has better leather and costs like $20 more)
Also you almost got me wanting to buy some CDG Terminators because for $60...

I think many ppl think that this cactus jack airforce was a collab but it was actually just a promo pair for the album UTOPIA
Well we did this to ourselves, no-one is demanding high quality shoes worth the price nowdays they just buy whatever everyone else likes and spend more on the logo than the shoe itself

idk as big fan of the Af1 I am and having dozens in my collection the ALYX Af1 has the best leather by far out of all of em even the Nocta drake Af1 and thats surprised me and I honestly like the subtle changes to the shoe the one piece toe box panel makes the shoe look more classy or high end like a designer shoe. Which I think is the point I do wish they put the metal lace loop piece on both sides vs just one. Also these won't crease as bad cause of that one piece panel so def a win win.

Who needs to put in any work in when someone is working for you, no one is doing any collaboration. There are designers making stuff about what they “kind of want” and then after all the design proposals they just pick one.
Funny thing, Nike actually didn't charge you 120 bucks for the travis mac attacks, IT WAS 140! That's right, they literally turned it up 20bucks at the very last minute EVEN THE REGULAR MAC ATTACKS! I just thought that was a pretty nasty move from nike.
UK SNKRS app shows them for the same 130 pounds. The regular attack needs 49% off before I’m interested
Some of the "failed" shoe collaborations feels like the shoe brand just didn't let the collaborator change what made the shoe iconic, for example the FOG slides. I'm sure FOG can elevate the slides, for example the Nike X FOG shoes were pretty fire IMO, but Adidas is just restrictive on FOG's style would affect the sale on their normal slides or tarnish the slide's iconic silhouette.

Nah drakes was a good shoe bc of the little details and the laces with the beads I fw that heavy and the quality was way better than airforce ones I’ll never go back to the regular ones again

The whole thing you didn’t mention with the Billie Eilish one is that it’s made of all recycled materials & synthetic leather, making them vegan-friendly because Billie is vegan. They still could’ve added some other branding or laces or something though 😅

Nike make sure you make shoes that are worth buying! I did not get any of these shoes, to be honest I could not remember any of these shoes until now. They really were the laziest shoes that were created, but I guess if someone is a fan of an artist, they will buy anything that is being offered that caries their name. Thank you for reminding me of these shoes, but they were nothing special. The video was a great one, like always. 😃😃😃

Is the assessment of the CDG collaboration correct? Other reviews of these shoes all comment on the better materials used on these when compared to regular terminators
Sometimes we get great things from Nike like powerpuffs SBs and jarritos dunks, but sometimes i doubt those shoes come from the same people as the ones who make collabs like this. Great video love all the effort u put into ur videos keep it up.

It's crazy how these collabs are so bad you have to put up on the screen which sneaker is on your left and which is on your right.
Someone at my school spent over 200$ for black air forces with the supreme logo bro💀
I bought a pair of returned nocta air force 1 and they came with the wrong box.
I would dissagree for the Alyx AF1, Drake AF1 and Supreme AF1. Yes they aren't crazy, but they don't have to be. Simplicity is the key for making a timeless design. Alyx removed the panel, added the lighter metal part on the lacehole, changed the lace accessory and put "premium" leather. Drake AF1 you get "premium" leather, Nike made new molds for the outsoles (never done before to my knowledge), holes are different, leather inside and you have the charms. Supreme AF1 aren't bold which is unsual for supreme, you get lace accessory with supreme branding and a different inside (but they cost the same as normal AF1). We all love all white AF1. I got all 3 and love them equally. Familiar enough to make me wanna wear them all the time but different enough to differentiate them from the normal AF1.
The Travis ones also have a story behind so there's an actual reason why they made them

You have to understand the meaning of a collab isn't all about ground breaking design changes, it's about how the two parties wanted for a specific product. If they decided to go with subtle changes, sure, and there will be people who appreciate those subtle changes. For Drakes's collab you failed to meantion the outsole changes that gave them a challenging time producing, if they were lazy they sure would have scratched that idea. Just my two cents.

im not rly a sneaker head idrc but if I ever got a colab shoe, even I hav standards with shoes, lets say I got a colab shoe thats idk 70 bucks more than the regular, A good collab shoe has to be able to be easily known that they are the collab version from far away, like almost every shoe in this video you have to be like 3 inches away from the shoe to have a 10% chance of noticing its a collab version smh

The Tiffany AF1 is far from lazy. The materials throughout are completely different, the dubraes, the rear silver tab, the leather lining on the paneling - they should never be mentioned with the TS AF1 and the KAWS.
