I find it dumb that you need 2 copies of the same game and I cannot believe it took me nearly a decade and a half to figure this out and how it works. I will never understand why Activision or Vicarious Visions couldn't figure out a way to link both DS consoles with just one copy of the game like other DS games did. So instead you just gotta be lucky enough to have a friend that shares the same game as you. This game is great but this is just one think they dropped the ball on.
Yeah, and since music didn't play either I'd assume this would have been a light mode to share through DS Download Play But this mode is an afterthought as a whole

@@ScottRobRubin That's stupid. Games like New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart DS allowed you to link 2 players wirelessly with just one copy of the game. Why didn't they go for this route? Could they just not figure out to emulate that?

iirc it was literally like the boss battle but you could control him so he's actually really limited with that moveset and not the best pick for a fight

Imagine playing as Carnage instead of the final boss in the game
