this game is underrated. it's amazing -the bosses were done greatly -great story -awesome gameplay -cool combat system -variaties in combat, web swinging and stuff -awesome soundtrack -the game allows you to play as venom, not only freeroam but venom has his own missions -for a very old game the graphics were good, cartoony but good and alot of stuff

I didn't play the game properly when I was younger and listen to the instructions correctly like holding the jump butter makes you jump high which was helpful in dodging Rhino's attacks. Like I played it again recently, it managed to beat Rhino with no problem. I guess it's when you learn all his moves and when he does them. But I think Green Goblin takes the cake for being the most frustrating and difficult fight.

Cletus kasady possibly does exist but it's an ultimate universe, as you see in witness a symbiote from that dimension is made by hand, both Eddie and Peters fathers tried to create biological suit which is supposed to be capable of recovery from any injuries and cure cancer, and that's where you see Eddie uses symbiote suit which is unstable suit turning him into a monster until the codex from Peter Parker that became Carnage absorbs in and becomes full control of the suit
Cletus does exist in the Ultimate universe but he has no relations to Carnage and only his name appears, he has no physical appearance. I guess it’s more of an Easter egg for the fans
I found out the hard way from when I first got this on Christmas 2005 along with spider man 2 on PS2 that the bosses were getting harder and harder shit I remember the rhino wasn't that bad until the parking lot but electro all the way to final fight with venom was making my palms sweaty and rage quitting at the age of 5-6 I understand why my controller be acting up once in a while cause it wasn't just this game it was others spiderman 2 and 3 hulk ultimate destruction Batman rise of sin tsu and the X-Men official game before I lost it in 09 I had about 40 something games for PS2 good times wish I could play them again on my PS3 but it's not backwards compatible 😭😭
