Yeah, it was such an awesome death in the original. On my 1st playthrough I let myself die to their grab attack just to see how cool the remake version would be, but I only got a boring fall-to-the-ground death. Another detail that icked me was that they reused the death scream for a lot of deaths.

Sure his model could have been mangled a lot more by some of the deaths, but I prefer these executions a lot over Dead Space or Callisto Protocol's over the top limbs flying off animations. the human body is just so much harder to tear apart and you'll be long dead before that happens.
To be fair, the necromorphs of Dead Space are much more physically powerful than your average zombie or Ganado, thus why they can flail a person so easily. I get where you're coming from, though. Two different flavors of death animations. I think they're both great.
@@firestarex3544 for me it's more about a single slash or hit from those necromorphs should maim or knock Isaac out. I've had my fair share of falls skating, sometimes you really just get dizzying pain, not to mention concussions messing with your brain for a few minutes.
Also worth pointing out that some enemies (such as the Garrador and transformed Krauser) will completely bisect Leon if they kill him with some of their normal slashes. Explosives can also reduced you to a red mist as well.

It's because ESRB have dumb rules around death and torture in videogames. Deaths need to be quick to avoid AO rating. If he was screaming in agony during that it probably would have passed as torture and would have gotten them an AO rating. Stupid I know but I learned this from hearing MK devs talk about it.

For starters, Leon canonically blocks, parries, and has a muscle match with krauser in the cutscene that precedes this fight, but him being able to be overpowered is not the argument. The argument is that Krauser literally just spins around grabs his head and stabs him and leon makes no attempt to do anything during the animation. If he was shown visually trying to reach and not getting there in time that would be one thing but he basically looks like he just stands there puts his hands up and lets himself get executed in acceptance

You can even hear the blood spilling out of Leons body while it happens. - 5:17 These ones are pretty damn satisfying. - 1:45 - 2:00 I’ve played the game and the Chainsaw Man does cut Leon’s head clean off like in the original and does decapitate him in half as well as the (Scythe) Zealots in the castle, so idk why people are thinking they cut that out cuz i literally saw it my gameplay. They literally forgot to put those in the video so these are not all the death animations. - 2:25 - The Villagers holding Leon down and working together to cut His head off is actually really neat. - 1:09 - 1:33 The Bug Acid death animation in the remake does disappoint me too though, i’m not sure why they didn’t do that maybe cuz its too graphic or the developers/game designers just didn’t know how to make it look like how it did in the OG or they were still forced to censor cuz nowadays they always censor the blood and gore shit. Gotta admit, am a bit disappointed that the aranara or whatever the puppet spider things are don't puppeteer his corpse.
The only one I'm disappointed about, is when the bugs vomit acid on Leon. The original it shows his face melted off. Not here.

I am very much dissapointed for these animations. Many past resident evil games had paid more attention to detail when it comes to the death animations. Resident evil 4 remake has some deaths looks down right dumb and amateur. Take the one with the eye poking for example, leon has the expressions of fear and pain close to a fucking manequin. I really expected more.....

Não seria nenhum mal eles terem prestado atenção nas expressões e vocalizacões durante as animações de morte. Até mesmo porque a empresa JA FEZ outros jogos com tecnologias mais recentes que tiveram um cuidado e detalhamento melhor.
