It’s 9:00 here in Granite Bay, CA … it’s just now starting to sprinkle. We need anything we can get to knock down some of the dirt in our air. Hopefully next weeks rains holds on to more measurable rains. WOW, your pictures were beautiful‼️. Travel safe🙋🏼♀️

Picturesque fall back east but not much moisture in the west. Pickle Meadows down to the low twenties Fri and Sat. Maybe some fall color on 395 and Sonora Pass when you get back. Enjoy! 🍂🍂🍂
As of 10 am the Orchard Cottage Weather Center in Oakdale, CA is reporting sprinkles. Hate the upcoming Nasty Northlies. Reminds me of Oakland hills fire 1987, Tubbs Fire 2016, Camp Fire 2018. Bill
Funny how the weather just does what it wants to do. Here in Sonora where I live, we had nice showers for several hours! I don't think it amounted to much in my rain gauge but it rained! Glad the forecast was wrong for today!
Mark I live in interior Mendocino We have a frost warning tonight and we have a freezing warning tomorrow maybe you could talk about that possibility and one of your updates thank you

Are these the Diablo winds? Nervous in Sonoma County as memories of the Tubbs Fire still haunt. I’m hoping and praying nothing bad happens. 🙏 My friend lives in Janesville.

Berkeley Fire Department tried to stop it at its east city boundary which was also the boundary between Alameda and Contra Costa counties. It's not a defensible position. Fire quickly jumped into Berkeley, destroying many homes and businesses. However, Cal was largely spared. This, according to my late father-in-law who told me this story. He was 15 at the time.
