Ostuni-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Lecce-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks all provided by people that know how to live very close to heaven, while firmly rooted to their home soil.

I also recommend Conversano BA. A real hidden and stunning place. Conversano is close to Polignano, Monopoli, Alberobello and Bari. Above all, it is not overcrowded with tourists. Wonderful bars, restaurants, events and art. You will be amazed. It is my home town.

The most surprising thing for me as a Greek was meeting older people in Puglia/Calabria/Siciliy and they called us brothers and wanted to converse in "greek".
But it was very difficult for me to understand them, as they seem to speak something like ancient greek, which was not my favorite subject at school, haha.
They told me that people would speak "greek" in Napoli and Palermo too, but that was not the case.

I was there 10 years ago, and am there now, perhaps it is videos like this that unfortunately have made this lovely area overcrowded with tourists now. The site of Alberobello (Beautiful tree) along with others, saddened me with how crowded it now is--it seems to have lost its charm because of it. BTW sorry to say but many of your Italian words are badly pronounced. :-)

Terrible pronunciation of basic Italian words and names of towns. Plus, there's more to Puglia than food.
