Only honest opinions on this channel, I don't do this to replace a day job. Too many 'review' channels for the hobby get paid for their videos, making their videos 'adverts', not 'reviews'... Happy flying!
my favorite glider was the Calypso by Flyzone unfortunately its no longer produced. every so often i look on ebay to see if i can find a model

Thanks Painless! Definitely disappointing this wasn't designed better for FPV... cooling is such an important factor. I wonder if a 3d printed design canopy could be done to mount all the FPV gear? Maybe even a gimbal?

Showing my age, but I would have loved to learn to fly RC on something like that in 1984! Even with it's flaws.
I get that! The hobby has come a long way in the last 15 years, especially in the last 5. We have so much choice now, and some vendors are showing real innovation and value. Some others, not so much... Happy flying!
In 1984, there were these new RC airplanes at the hobby store called “ARF’s”. It took me a weekend to build, not months. My first plane was a mid wing nitro plane that had Thunderbird F-16 markings on it. NOT a beginners plane at all! I had to find someone at a field I joined to teach me. He stood next to me and I quickly handed him my radio when I got in trouble. No Buddy cord, or gyros, just 10 minutes of pure terror! I still have that Airtronics radio.
