I luv your styles, what else can I say! Enjoyed them all. 👍❤️😊
Lovely. I'll try it when I get the masking. ❤
Gorgeous painting Ellen. I
love the colours of the background
showing up the snowdrops, it’s
Beautiful.
I have just tried to draw a couple of snowdrops
but can’t get them to look like yours.
The snowdrops are very pretty! They are the fist flower to show us that spring is sure to come! Thanks for this lovely encouraging painting.
Very enjoyable as always
This is great can’t wait to give it a try
Thank you, wonderful tutorial!
There's tjose sound effects! Now you're speakin my language! LOL! I make weird noises all the time to "explain" how something goes . At work my coworker, Mike, will look at me after I've tried explaining to a customer how to use a paint or primer or grout or ANYTHING with my noises and he'll say "so how's that go again?"
Magical with the bokeh effect…lovely colours
thank you!
Thank you! Very inspiring.
Love, love, love this one! Thanks for your great tutorials.
Once again terrific tutorial. I learn so much from your videos. Have to go get some masking fluid now. Thank you Ellen.
Wauw again.
Have a nice weekend.❤️🍀
Thank you! You too!
That's beautiful!!
I really like this !!
Beautiful.
I haven't heard of that technique before! Very kool when done like this. It does give an almost fairytale quality to the painting. This I have got to try. Thanks Ellen.
Great instructional video, as always! Thank you Ellen.
Very pretty... snow drops aren't something I've seen, in nature. I guess they're a crocus cousin... they may not be, but, to me, they look like the crocus flower flipped upside down.
I'd LOVE to see Painted Lady painted!!
This is really pretty. I love the effect when you added the white. Thank you for sharing. ☺☺☺
These Are so lovely. You have such a gift both as an artist and as a teacher. I may even try these!
This is so beautiful!
thank you!

Thanks so much 😊
New things learnt today. ✔️:)
I loved painting earlier in my life but due to circumstances have been away from it for almost 25 years. I want to thank you for bringing it back into my life and reminding me that I can still do it 😉 I thoroughly enjoy your painting and teaching style and am grateful for your time and sharing these tutorials. You’ve brought a special joy back to my heart.
That is absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful and magical. Can’t wait to have a go. I love your style of painting and tutoring. Thanks so much!
Soooo beautiful 😍 ❤ breathtaking! So far this might be my favorite to date.
Gorgeous! I love that effect so much. It really is magical as you said and I think snowdrops are the perfect subject for this time of year with those techniques. Thanks for this video and also, I hope you feel back to 100% soon, take care!
You never cease to amaze me!!!
Gorgeous picture Ellen
So fresh.
Thank you
Many thanks!
Mesmerizing! Had to watch it twice before my attempt now! Thank you, Ellen!
You are so welcome!

I love this technique. Your painting is beautiful…I love me some bokeh. Lol. I will stop in your Etsy Shop soon. Thank you.💕
Love your talent, so free and flowing!!! I have drawn my snowdrops and need to start painting it now. I’m nervous but will give it a go.
Another brilliant tutorial. I love your background colours.
Hi Ellen- I love snowdrops and saw bokeh on another site for the first time. When I watched this the first time, I loved that it looked so whimsical but did not watch it u til the end. Just watched it through to the end- and it is absolutely magical. I can’t wait to try it. Also I love that you include the quick drawing at the beginning. I am practicing my drawing and this really helps- please continue. Thanks, thanks, thanks!
Wonderful & magical 🧚
Very pretty.
Thank you! Cheers!
This is great! Thank you I’m excited to try
Hope you like it!

This is beautiful! I love the colors! Thank you for sharing and teaching! 💜
Thank you! Cheers!
Ellen, thank you for doing another tutorial with the bokeh effect. I didn’t really know what it was until a few weeks ago. I had to look it up. Then I decided I would teach it to my art group so I needed examples to try. Thanks!
Спасибо. Всегда нравится всё что Вы предлагаете.
This is beautiful 😍
thank you!
Love this! I need to try it! Thanks Ellen!
Truly enjoyed your teaching style and lesson! Thank you for making this available! I just may have to try this bokeh effect! I watched another of your tutorials, the branch one, so I really do want to try!
Enjoyed this so much.
I enjoy your painting so much! The technique looks is simple, but the results are spectacular. When you do it. I'm learning so much! Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Loved this! Keep the sound effects! My favorite part! I am inspired❤️ Thank you, I will be painting snow drops today!
I’m definitely going to try this! When I first started watching the video my sounds was cut down. I thought you were drawing bees!! 😊. I’m very interested in learning more about the bokeh style. Thank you for sharing with us!
really?
Simply beautiful Ellen!!! I love how you share the creative process with us, including the sound effects!!! I will try this as I watch again with you! Love the blues and greens! Thank you and blessings to all who watch from around the world! With love from a California gramma 🌴🌺
Thanks so much for all your inspiration and insight. Will definitely be giving this a try 🙏
I love this painting how pretty! :-)
I'm glad you like it
Good morning /evening. I have just had a go at this. Wow so difficult. !! May I please post it on social media if I tag you and state it was from your tutorial x
Thanks for another video. I have tried the polar bear with northern lights and it turned out an absolute mess lol. But! I will try again. I'm at a point where I'm not getting discouraged when I fail or feel like I did it makes me want to try again. Every time I paint I'm learning more. I've only painted a few things but hoping to not give up so easily this 2nd time around. My first attempt at watercoloring I just felt I wasn't getting anywhere so I gave up too quickly. Not this time. I don't need to necessarily create an actual painting I just like playing and watching the paint mix and flow ( all the good things of watercolor). Thanks again. Have a wonderful night!
Fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
Love this, so fun. BTW love you craziness😍
Very nice!
Your backgrounds are always so magical looking! How do you stop your colors from getting muddy?
Love love love your paintings!
Ellen, could you show us how to make fog? Like on a lake, early morning?
Loving this! But I’m new to watercolour, and not at all familiar with the masking fluid and eraser??
How do you remove the masking liquid from your brush?
The first time you splatter in the gouache, do you think using a different color might look ok? Like maybe a light yellow?
try it- why not no rules here! :)
❤❤
Ellen, I don't have peacock blue, is it possible to mix other blues and how do I do that please?
Can you achieve the same repelling effect with bleed proof white that you achieved with the gouache? TIA😊
💗❤️💕
Or just keep it on repeat while I try. Thank you
I've tried the masking pen. Molotov, I think. It may work well for others but I did not have a good experience with it. I gave it several tries and tried many ways to remove it. I even purchased one of those square gum remover thingies. It still would tear my paper.
I used arches and another cotton paper and even cheap paper. It just did not go well for me.
I have some liquid masking fluid but I must have put it in storage by mistake when I moved.
So, I'll go hunt that down or buy more. Hmm, looking for it seems like a lot of work.
Btw I love the snow drops! Very nice painting. Love it!
This isn’t on Patreon so I don’t see a sketch. Is there one?
What kind of paper is?
You are a chatterbox ha ha, but very pro, great project great artist
This is so beautiful. I have enjoyed following the tutorial and experimenting with new techniques. I found your instructions regarding shading very helpful!
