That seems to be a thing for saiyans, there voices get deeper with each transformation depending on the level, even for god and blue their voices sound firm and a bit deep
I like to imagine it's like flexing your muscles. Bodybuilders have great mind muscle connection so they can flex their muscles on command and even smile while doing so but it still takes effort and too much can lead to cramps
This is the greatest transformation ever!! The clouds racing, the incredible vocal performance, all of Goku's companions feeling the breakthrough themselves from ANYWHERE they are. The fucking earth starts shaking... Probably my favorite character moment in any anime. We got to see what Goku could do training on his own as hard as he could, that is fucking growth!!
With this transformation Goku should have done a lot more than he actually did, it has to be considered bad writing that SSJ3 Goku didn't end up finishing off Buu.

I saw some of the visual glitch things, but I personally think they make it better. It makes it feel like even my phone is having trouble dealing with such power.
To this day, this one scene sends shivers down my spine. Watching Goku literally push himself and pushing his energy higher and higher to the point where it almost seems as if he loses his sanity is absolutely breathtaking. But then seeing the great ape and then goku as a child, that was epic to see his third transformation. The voice, the actual energy you could feel coming from the actor. The passion. The desperation. Shivers.......................................................
That "THIS IS TO GO EVEN FURTHER BEYOND" was quite literally the best performance of the FUNi dub. It's no wonder you were able to sneak it in so easily, haha

I remember when DBZ on toonami first aired the super saiyan 3 episode. I had known that Faulconer had already made awesome BGM for characters and scenes in DBZ, which made the DBZ experience more epic (since the original one had dull background music). I had already seen the SS3 transformation in foreign languages so I wondered how Faulconer was gonna live up to the scene, since it was so long. When this episode aired in like 2002, I remembered I taped it on my VCR and watched it over and over and over. I think I still have the tape.
I'm gonna give you a lesson on DBZ dubs. I want to make sure you both understand. First, there is my Japanese dub that I'm in right now. Then there's my original English dub form. Next up, this is what it sounds like when I push myself beyond the level of English dub for even greater sound. See? To make it easier, we'll call it DBZ Kai. There's more. dope, thanks for the re-upload. this is one of the very few scenes that I think was genuinely enhanced by the original American broadcast music edit: clarified it was the American broadcast I was talking about, not confusing it with the "original" score lol
I wish this is what we had when Dragon Ball Z first came to the US. With these voice actors, lines, quality, pacing and especially this music. It's even better that the lines are closer to what the original manga had. And also if it was uncensored in the beginning. This with Bruce's score would have made DBZ perfect.
Ocean was the only dubbing studio in the late 90's that could have delivered something like this (even then, they still had to battle cartoon network censorship). Funimation was brand new. After DBZ, Funimation improved their dubbing quality trendemously (having learned from the series). Hence why Fruit Basket and YuYu Hakusho have good dubs. Perhaps if Ocean had a more consistent cast it could have worked.
I just love how babadi knows about the saiyans and their amazing energies... to a point where he wants to harvest it all to release buu, but then when goku actually starts releasing his energy it's just "changing his hair color" 🤣🤣
I know Goku said he wanted to teach Babadi and Buu, but Akira Toriyama was really using Goku to clarify for the audience about Saiyan transformations here, and I loved it when I saw it the first time and I love it now

There is not a single better piece of music to lift weights at the gym than Faulconer's SSJ3 transformation. Seriously...play this every time you have a set and you will give it 200% of everything you have before you drop the weights.

There once was a time when Gohan was the strongest Sayin in the series. Then the Buu saga hits and now Gohan is pretty much an Earthling whose dressed up like a Ginyu Force member to fight crime. Still a pretty cool dude, but kinda gets left in the dust by his father and Vegeta.
He did not pass out when he did the scream for Super Saiyan 3.The only time he's ever passed out was when recording a scream for Goku in Dragon Ball GT (that's what he stated in an interview. It's been years since I watched it, but it was on RUclips).
