Yes the A321 was unfortunately bought during the SMC era of Philippine Airlines where the management focused more on competing head on with Cebu Pacific and then rising AirAsia Philippines. However last 2018 when Lucio Tan regained control of PAL, he vowed to restore PAL to its glory (in the same year PAL received their A350, A321neo, and Retrofitted some A330’s)

@@pmdrglj7310 the A321 was purchased when SMC handled PAL before, they focused on competing against Low cost airlines hence the quality of the soft product went downhill Although in 2018, Lucio Tan regained control of PAL, vowing it will once again have high standard soft product (A321neo/A350/Refurbished A330)
Nice trip but then PR307 is no match for the CX daily flights to MNL 907/901/919/903/913/939 from HKG. Oddly this route has both CX and PR operate the same plane types which meant this pay up premium go CX over PR cheaper PR rather than CX. Side by side RP-C9930-9939 to a CX B-HPx A321neo the CX versions win same is said for RP-C3501-3508 future RP-C3509 A35Ks where the CX B-LRx B-LQx B-LXx just beat them on this route
@AirTravel415 I agree if you ask the locals and Taiwanese that work in Hong Kong flying to Manila about that they wouldn't recommend Philippine Airlines widebodies instead they'll go Cathay Pacific widebodies because they are simply one-to-one with Philippine Airlines and better than them all times. @@joaquiinn_a Thank you for subscribing!, hope you enjoyed 😁
A retrofit of all their Airbus 321 is overdue... The hard product is obsolete and leaning towards an LCC model which it should not be. Nice review!

@Air Travel 415 PAL needs to have IFE and Free WiFi ON-BOARD in this aircraft
Yes, I believe it's part of the cabin refurbishment they'd be starting next year. feel free to see my older videos onboard PAL's A321neo
we will have to wait for the new updates.
The A321neo does have it, but i see it's mostly used for medium haul flights
did you check in a bag. How was the flight overall? Were they strict with the baggage weight
Yes, we had 30kg each, PAL is pretty strict with the baggage allowance, luckilly we diidn't encounter any issue.
Honestly, PR's service product has been going down the drain for years. I would rather fly Z2 or 5J on this Asian regional fights. Good review btw.
@@jbsarmiento9703 Yes, although PAL does make up with the food and the warm crew (although my friend is kinda shy in filming them though)

Thank you, @PhilippineAirlinesTV for the safe flight and wonderful experience! Please feel free to see 9:22 of the video for my feedback
No IFE. What a shame.

@@pmdrglj7310 fast forward a few years ago a few A321’s will finally be fitted with IFE’s * Likely those same as the 321Neo

On certain days, PAL deploys Widebodies for Hong Kong too
