This is the review I was looking for!! I'm planning on getting this lens, and your video just sold it to me. I've watched all the SEL50M28 reviews I could find, and yours is by far the most practical. Thank you, sir! I have subscribed, and I am looking forward to binging your videos 👍😊👍
this will be great with my ZVE1.. quite versatile for 50mm lens. will pair it with my PZ 16-35mm. Your creative video convince me to get this lens.. thank you a lot.
I have a 60mm APS-C lens that causes vignetting on my FF and my 90 is too cropped. I'm so excited to get this one. Just ordered it. I was tempted to get the 70mm Tamron but I think this will be better.
Nice short video and music. I saw your both review of Sony 90mm f2.8 and 50mm f2.8 macro lens. In your opinion, if you will choose one for travel which one you will choose to go with you. Thanks a lot.
Amazing video! Thanks so much for the insight. Very keen on food photography so this helps my decisions a lot hahaha. Lmk the recipe for your French toast!
Wow. I didn’t even know this lens existed! This video may have convinced me to get this. I mainly shoot video and I’ve found having a lens faster than 2.8 isn’t always necessary. It’s a lot easier for a lens to autofocus at 2.8 than 1.8 or faster. Thank you so much for this info!
Nice review. Between this 50mm macro and the 90mm macro which would you recommend? Can the 50mm macro achieve the same results as the 90mm for macro or is the look different?
ARoznowski47 yeah I know and agree that the 90mm has better optical quality but is it worth almost double the price? I also don’t find 90mm to be as flexible a focal length as 50mm. Leaning towards 50mm. Wish there were more 1:1 side by side comparisons with both these lenses. In the time being I might just stick with extension adapters for macro lol.
Nice review, one question though, can I use this lens for in-flight reviews? Those are generally low light (if night flights) or bright (if day flights). Also, the review video typically involves shooting the inflight amenities (seats, food, features, IFE, cabin, loo, etc.). I do have Sony 18-105 and 16-50 (kit) with me.. suggest me which lens should I use for my review videos. Thanks!
@@sharkylal thanks for the suggestion!! Appreciate! How about using Sony 10-18mm in-flight? Would that work out? Also, using 10-18mm, can it focus on close objects? For e.g. food on the tray table or seat features from upclose?
Love Macro photography!! You?
Best allround lens ever ! I love it ! ❤❤❤
This video Made me Buy it
Nice video! Great camera angles and excellent editing! Thank you!

Yeah, exactly.
This lens is more than its price tag. I love it!!
Hey Kensei, cool video! Congratulations! Which software do you use?
DaVinci Resolve for color, Premiere pro for edit
I can do product photography with this right
Yes!
great review, thank you! do you think this lens will perform well for videoing basketball players?
Thank you.
IMO, 35mm is better for that purpose if you go with primes.
thanks!
Nice review. Between this 50mm macro and the 90mm macro which would you recommend? Can the 50mm macro achieve the same results as the 90mm for macro or is the look different?
In my opinion the 90mm is higher quality. But more expensive!

I agree those opinions.
90mm macro has more sharper look. Comparison between 50 and 90? Got it!!
Kensei Akatsu that would be great!
this is dope
Thank you, glad that you liked it!!
waiting for my french toast
Nice!!! From brazil! 👊🔥👍

50mm would not be good for such small enclosure reviews. I'd suggest something 30mm or less.

@@ManmohanMohanty yes at 10mm it’s more than wide enough
@@sharkylal but can I use 10-18mm lens for videos of close objects? I hv a doubt
@@ManmohanMohanty look up the lens, on the specifications it will show you minimum focus distance
Looks very good!! You filmed this in Slog?
Yes, I did. It's S-log2. Btw, I talked about my S-log2 setting in my new video.
