My advice for anyone trying to get a desktop chair is go to an actual store. I was about to buy online based on reviews but something told me to just go to the store instead. I found the experience much like going to get a mattress. It’s best to try for yourself before buying as every body has different needs. What’s comfy for others might be torture for you. I went to the store thinking I would get one chair and walked out with something completely different. You can always check online for the same chair you liked in person to see if you find a better deal. So glad i went.

Yup, agreed. I went to a Herman Miller seller and ended up really disliking the Embody, it was uncomfortable for me right from the spot. On the other hand, I thought the Mirra would be uncomfortable because of the more rigid back rest but I loved it, it was the best IMO, even better than the Aeron. I only wish I it was possible to test the chair for a full work hour day lol, but the limited test at a store is still better than buying solely based on internet reviews. This video is truly helpful though, I probably wouldn't even test the Mirra if they didn't rank it higher as they did, so I'm glad this video exists

Tried multiple chairs, and the Embody is hands down the best chair I've owned or sat in. It's the only seat wide enough, has decent seat depth (would like 1 more inch) and comfort is just off the charts. When I get up from this chair, it doesn't even feel like I've been sitting, whether it's been 1 hour or 8. Between their shills on RUclips and various websites giving their Titan Evo's 5 stars almost everywhere, I thought; "why wouldn't I get one?" But is it really something to dislike? I'm going to buy super comfy living room armchair and use it everytime I want to lift my legs and work on stuff being half asleep.

I'm 5'9, 26yo 160lbs and my back is destroyed. The past month I've been unable to stand up straight, can barely move my body, and getting up off the chair is so painful. I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed fibromyalgia (extremely fragile, stiff, sensitive and sore body)
For the past year I've been using a $100 "ergo" chair but the foam was flattened after a week, and now it's like sitting on a plastic board.
I'm fed up of this chair, want to stop being in pain, but don't know what to get. I "could" afford an Embody, etc, but that price is just crazy and hard to justify. I was about to order the Steelcase series one at $400 but you guys put it in D tier. Most chairs here do not ship to UK so my options are limited. I definitely need a strong cushion as I sit for 12+ hours a day and my tailbone hurts like mad. Both Herman Miller and Steelcase' chairs are on sale here so probably a good time to buy. But still crazy expensive even on sale. Hope someone has some suggestions

Hot tip, if you are extremely limited in budget because your ex-wife took everything except your pickup truck and dog, find a nearly new or slightly used WorkPro Quantum 9000, probably the best Aeron knock-off, can get you through the hard times until you earn enough to get back into a legit S-tier chair. But expect it not to last as materials/workmanship is sub-par compared to the real thing, especially the armrests and it's somewhat noisy.

These reviews used to seem a lot more unbiased. Now you say Humanscale sucks….you guys used to not be able to stop drooling over it. I suspect Humanscale is a frustrating company to work with from a sales standpoint and they likely don’t support your guys attempts to resell their premium chairs at significantly discounted prices and therefore this once S tier chair in your opinion has been relegated unreasonably to the C tier garbage can of office chairs. I’d believe the review more if you explained why in the past you loved it so much and now you all don’t like it anymore. It used to be on your Top 5 chair list. Now you ALL hate it??? To quote you from your past video: “after spending 10 days in this chair, it is hands down the best in the business. I found no matter where I reclined to in the Freedom, it had no problem locking into a position where I could work comfortably. “. Keep it real guys, otherwise these reviews are worthless for people like me looking to invest lots of money in nice pieces of furniture.

Hi, im in the uk so I don't think I will have the same choice, but I am desperate to get a new office chair, i was hoping you could tell me which one is the softest seating you have tried? have one that was custom made with tailbone cut out as ive had it removed but the extra foam is still too hard and I get numb legs and feet and sitting pain at the back of my thighs and butt. I need some sort of seating that is pressure relief and takes away my body movement and I really loved the humanscale diffrient world chair when I tried it as it did everything i wanted, but for sitting all day its not good because you can't really adjust it, there's no headrest and you start to touch the frame. Unfortunately all these companies i have contacted don't have any demo chairs to try even without any custom modifications and therefore despite having over a 2k budget for a chair, I am too scared to buy anything incase it comes its exactly like the one I have now which is an adapt that I can't actually sit on still. You wouldn't buy a sofa without sitting on it so why should I be expected to spend thousands on a chair but not know if its right for me because they don't have any for me to try first? Seems crazy to me!
