There's one piece of extra dalao tech there are some rots where you want to do a mixed combo, but due to say previous fast ults you already have 1 stack of paint up, doing 2 basics won't give you a fast mixed, and doing 3 basics would be slow. What you can do is basic dodge basic dodge then combo, essentially doing the first auto twice really fast so you can do the mixed in an insanely short amount of time. I've never capped the speed on this (but i suck)

I keep hearing about new HFS tricks from elsewhere, and it's clearer and clearer over time that Marisa simply reports news (great version previews), copies strategies (WC 31k), and does number testing in beta (weapon and stigmata comparisons done on beta version test dummy). HFS tricks I'm thinking of: Snapping and switching off (to supports) to drain HP Using weapon active after 1st blackhole rather than before B to ground snap cancel Evade to weapon/switch cancel I'm still learning the bottom 2, so I can't explain it. The 2nd one has multiple reasons. Evasions apply Ember Brands, blackhole detonates but does not consume Ember Brands, and weapon active detonates and consumes Ember Brands. Active after blackhole is more important for pri-arm, but even with non pri-arm, you get more damage from detonating ember brands with basic attacks before first blackhole, then use weapon active afterwards.
I have nothing against Marisa - he's good at what he does - but Keeby is the one that takes topscores in t100 Exalted (like Kallen last week) and in Nirvana. Every one of these guides are master classes that get immediately shared in every Honkai meta community.

omg so that's what i've been doing wrong the B warhaunt replaces the 3 set i thought i was doing a 200 iq move to "refresh" the duration of warhaunt by WA after ult since the Warhaunt alredy starts at the beginning on the cast goddam very good info thanks keeby!
Its amazing how many easter eggs are hidden inside AE's combos. I will consider the sp affixes and probably avo m could be a more sustained dmg, since its 25% up to 30% tot dmg ( dealing with CD) and I was stupidly hitting weap skill after ultm sometimes, thinking that I was getting the xtra tot dmg while I was diminishing my dmg. Depends if you need another ult later or not, if that's the case, then yes, but it might be a better idea to run cooldown reduction for faster ults, or just delay your ult to go off after the weapon active for max damage.
AE is definitely insane. I mean if you think of it, this was released in SEA/Global/JP at v3.7 (February 2020). THAT'S TWO FREAKIINNN YEARS AGO!! AND SHE STILL IS A STRONG SUPPORT EVEN IN NIRVANA! (used to think that SpA will dethrone in Fire team before release date, but THAT WAS SOO WROONGGG. Heck even she is still useful sometimes in Lightning Nirvana Team). Even Starlit Astrologos whom released after her (v4.0 in June 2020) is already quite shadowed by Carole release recently. Well probably the support meta will start to move a little bit from now on since Phyllis (Ice Support) release next patch? (also probably Eden next after?) But it's just amazing to see her not dethroned for more than two years, since other chara supports have already got better chara for the respective teams in that same amount of time. 😳😮

Elemental breach can't be replaced and MHY doesn't want to sell more OP valkyries like her. But hopefully Phi powercreeps her in ice teams because, afaik, ice teams are still mostly in a ditch despite AE.

HB's signature stigmata (Turgenev) are the most versatile elemental support. If anything I'll say fire is the most ditched.... Fire herrscher who can't ignite seems like a lame joke from mihoyo
A couple of questions, and I'm sure maybe some ppl would like to know 1. If somehow you have access to 3-set Margrave, would you still recommend replacing Magrave M for the ones you mentioned? 2. About the part where Mihoyo is tryna push AE a little bit away, would you think that AE would still be relevant? Especially with the advent of Faster rotations that say Felis-HB would provide or Fischl-FR or even Raven. I know she's like still very relevant now but I'm more asking it for when the game is like a year or two from now.
1. No for abyss, yes for MA (even AE is rarely used in MA due to long buildup. But for faster rotation, M usually rrplaced by elemental specific buff (JST for ice, FHM for fire, Tesla Band for lightning or Avogadro/Siegfried). 2. Yes... very much yes. Phyllis is amazing no doubt but limited for Ice support. AE could still take away every spot as universal ele lineup in exalted Redlotus and lower bracket. Also no other supports provides elemental breach (again its universal element). Also she has no replacement for fire support currently
1. Hard to answer because sometimes we do actually use cooldown reduction due to needing many ults, often this is not the case 2. The funny thing is we've already seen that Phyllis underperforms AE against a boss(QUA emperor), so it does depend on the mechanic of the boss. AE's use is so overwhelmingly high right now (more than any other valkyrie) that she will likely still find use even after aggressive support releases. Plus she's very inexpensive.

Glad I got her on the 1st time she appeared in BP. Have no luck on the expa gachas. On the other note, I feel like the white combo still feels faster doing the type of cancel (at least on the initial execution part but I don't know if it saves time overall) or it is just me, idk...

@Keebster I think for the white combo it can be sped up if you evade cancel during 1, 3, 4 of your Basic seq then Hold A. Idk to me that feels faster (only a bit due to the extra evade) than regular White.
The combo itself isn't sped up at all, the fact that you can't fast ult after it is kinda proof of that. The time you save is because of the delay of the basic attack (it takes a while to finish basic attack 4 for example)

Bro same. I'm not gamer enough to keep all these fine details in mind when I play but it's good to know that the resource is there if I needed it. At the very least, I think I'm gamer enough to not use weapon active after ult and not always go for her 4th normal attack just to do the fast ult lol.
5:06 True in Exalted, but the QTE into triple black hold A was very critical for saving time in masters and elites (though ofc, who cares right?) when I had no Nebs so her SP gen wasn't enough to ult frequently. I would trigger TF, AE QTE, and immediately get to main dps with less than 6 to 10 bonus score lost to buffing time. This can be somewhat niche, as I used HoS clone cancel for TF (I only learned switching off during spear but the newest HoS video's cancels will prob be better) -> AE QTE -> HFS damage dealing. It's harder to source an immediate TF off the start without HoS, HFS, KMB evasions but not everyone has them or HFS is occupied being main dps. HoS is recommended to pull before AE though. And this would be a strategy for before you gear your Raven or rank her up enough, because HoS's clone battery ability and TF on demand and crowd gathering is great for shorter fights or mob fights which are more common before Ex.
I won't deny there's good use for the QTE but it's often very niche, and most of the time strategy specific, typically in Memorial. I have to talk on a general basis.
Its complex mechanics like this why i've always skipped ae/hs everytime. I understand having depth in a game is nice, but at the end of the day i'm just tired and want to press 1 button to win. I'm getting too old for playing games in general heh
"We don't care about the damage, at all" While that is true to some extent, AE is the only fully compatible battlesuit for FHD/Oblivion Down. All damage buff for her (although useless) is much appreciated. Sure, there's no competitive content where AE could shine as DPS right now, but before HoF release, AE act as sub-DPS with Oblivion Down (not to mention it's weapon skill is sick!)
Certainly a different era when we were still using Blood Rose against Heimdall. Her subdps damage is very low unlike modern supports, so while more damage is somewhat appreciated it now makes probably 1-2% of the entire total damage which is not worth optimizing.

i don't think there's anything wrong with full gearing a universal support, and I'm sure you are below or won't go to nirvana where you'll still be able to use AE for a long time and still can retain easily with her. Also it's expected that they will keep making supports of specific element, just like what they're doing in genshin.
her being powercreeped doesn't throw her out of meta anyway. So far she's the only ele support that gives so many kits in one go... Also no other supports provides elemental breach. Oh, also universal elemental support. Other meta supports are mostly specific elemental

Team buff -35%tdm to frozen -25% more sp from basic -25% tdm to frozen -30% tdm received -3sp on yellownconbo -25sp on ult Weapon team buff : 20% ice, 12%tdm, 30% reduce ULT CD for all team. T part of her main stigmata : 30% ice to frozen B part : 10Sp on freezing.
The only reason she fully outclasses AE in ice teams is her ult CD reduction on weapon lmao. If you don't have her pri arm even bastet ain't gonna save you Rotations with her deal less damage but are way faster, and the ult CD reduction is the reason for that. fire or lightning teams don't utilize that reduction nearly as well bcs the supports need to farm SP on field. The main reason it's so significant for ice teams is bcs HB ult CD has always been the bottleneck for rotations and she doesn't need to switch in to get the SP for her ult, and Phyllis prob shouldn't be prioritized when you don't have geared HB bcs of it.
I have 4/4 but no AE (currently coping with SS PX) and currently have A fire and lightning team. Was wondering if shes still worth cause im afraid by the time i get her she’ll be useless (since phyllis/pardofelis and fischl replaced her in their respective elemental teams and im worried she’ll get replaced in fire teams too). Phyllis went for AE's neck in ice teams, but ironically she may be better for lower disturbances bcs you'll need less rotations and her higher damage per rotation is more significant than Phyllis' insanely quick ones. Not even mentioning the fact I doubt Phyllis will replace her in SSS bosses bcs she has a lot of long animations and none of them seem to have time fracture. As for Fischl, yes full set Fischl is used in every lightning team, it's actually FR and AE that fight for the second support slot lmao. Basically if FR damage matters, she's better, otherwise AE > FR bcs more buffs. And I think Raven is less essential to fire teams than her? I'm not sure on this one, but both are SP dependent valks and most rots of fire teams I see save the most time by minimizing Raven field time and only using her ult like once, maybe twice if nirvana. Tl;Dr yes she's still worth it. Ice teams in abyss will no longer use her in higher disturbances. Lightning teams it depends on the boss (Example: Type counter Andrius, she's better, but for lightning Andrius, FR is better). And, she's probably gonna stay a staple fire support till the end. Considering you alr have the entire set, not getting her would be a waste especially since as keeby said she's still used in the most teams in the game atm

Hello Keebster and thank you for the informative video, I started playing the game since January 2022 and recently got Empyrea with her weapon. I would like to ask you if I need to farm Phoenix from war treasury to SS rank cause they share some skills. I saw some guides from here and there suggesting that having Phoenix is a good for the current meta but I kinda doubt cause there are many other supports nowadays like FallenRosemary, Raven, Fischl, Haxxor but I would like to hear your opinion.
Curious too, going to leave a comment to hopefully be updated on this as well. Not a dalao but looking a compilation spreadsheet of Exalted MA references, I only see PX being a top choice under the BKE boss section. Masters' MA probably different.
Phoenix is good to farm, but not before the other important willpower valks like Fervent Tempo or even Lightning Empress. Can also consider Twilight Paladin since she's great post 80.

I guess both Fevert Tempo and Twilight Paladin need their sig. weapon for late endgame? Currently my most used valkyries are Flamescion, Sentience both fully geared and sometimes HoT or HoR or SpinaAstera (all with f2p gear). Finally I would like to ask you something else, since I got Sentience, should I get Celestial Hymn? I can get Celestial Hymn from recent spring event, but idk if it will be a meta-wise move to do so.
@@telis4556 Yes, they do really want their signature weapon for end-game. Though they can cover areas where HoS can't. Remember that willpower valkyries are primarily for Memorial Arena (other than TP) , so the opportunity cost for choosing a valkyrie to raise up is fairly low, even if you end up regretting your decision, it won't make a big impact on your account. You can get them up to SS and move on to the next valkyrie to farm up to get more dorm bonuses. Celestial Hymn is another case of being a very good Memorial Valkyrie. If you care at all about Memorial you should definitely unlock her.

I know she's like still very relevant now but I'm more asking it for when the game is like a year or two from now.
1. No for abyss, yes for MA (even AE is rarely used in MA due to long buildup. But for faster rotation, M usually rrplaced by elemental specific buff (JST for ice, FHM for fire, Tesla Band for lightning or Avogadro/Siegfried).
2. Yes... very much yes. Phyllis is amazing no doubt but limited for Ice support. AE could still take away every spot as universal ele lineup in exalted Redlotus and lower bracket. Also no other supports provides elemental breach (again its universal element). Also she has no replacement for fire support currently

1. Hard to answer because sometimes we do actually use cooldown reduction due to needing many ults, often this is not the case
2. The funny thing is we've already seen that Phyllis underperforms AE against a boss(QUA emperor), so it does depend on the mechanic of the boss. AE's use is so overwhelmingly high right now (more than any other valkyrie) that she will likely still find use even after aggressive support releases. Plus she's very inexpensive.

Glad I got her on the 1st time she appeared in BP. Have no luck on the expa gachas. On the other note, I feel like the white combo still feels faster doing the type of cancel (at least on the initial execution part but I don't know if it saves time overall) or it is just me, idk...

@Keebster I think for the white combo it can be sped up if you evade cancel during 1, 3, 4 of your Basic seq then Hold A. Idk to me that feels faster (only a bit due to the extra evade) than regular White.
The combo itself isn't sped up at all, the fact that you can't fast ult after it is kinda proof of that. The time you save is because of the delay of the basic attack (it takes a while to finish basic attack 4 for example)

5:06 True in Exalted, but the QTE into triple black hold A was very critical for saving time in masters and elites (though ofc, who cares right?) when I had no Nebs so her SP gen wasn't enough to ult frequently. I would trigger TF, AE QTE, and immediately get to main dps with less than 6 to 10 bonus score lost to buffing time.
This can be somewhat niche, as I used HoS clone cancel for TF (I only learned switching off during spear but the newest HoS video's cancels will prob be better) -> AE QTE -> HFS damage dealing. It's harder to source an immediate TF off the start without HoS, HFS, KMB evasions but not everyone has them or HFS is occupied being main dps. HoS is recommended to pull before AE though. And this would be a strategy for before you gear your Raven or rank her up enough, because HoS's clone battery ability and TF on demand and crowd gathering is great for shorter fights or mob fights which are more common before Ex.
I won't deny there's good use for the QTE but it's often very niche, and most of the time strategy specific, typically in Memorial. I have to talk on a general basis.

While that is true to some extent, AE is the only fully compatible battlesuit for FHD/Oblivion Down. All damage buff for her (although useless) is much appreciated.
Sure, there's no competitive content where AE could shine as DPS right now, but before HoF release, AE act as sub-DPS with Oblivion Down (not to mention it's weapon skill is sick!)
Certainly a different era when we were still using Blood Rose against Heimdall. Her subdps damage is very low unlike modern supports, so while more damage is somewhat appreciated it now makes probably 1-2% of the entire total damage which is not worth optimizing.

i don't think there's anything wrong with full gearing a universal support, and I'm sure you are below or won't go to nirvana where you'll still be able to use AE for a long time and still can retain easily with her.
Also it's expected that they will keep making supports of specific element, just like what they're doing in genshin.

The only reason she fully outclasses AE in ice teams is her ult CD reduction on weapon lmao. If you don't have her pri arm even bastet ain't gonna save you
Rotations with her deal less damage but are way faster, and the ult CD reduction is the reason for that. fire or lightning teams don't utilize that reduction nearly as well bcs the supports need to farm SP on field.
The main reason it's so significant for ice teams is bcs HB ult CD has always been the bottleneck for rotations and she doesn't need to switch in to get the SP for her ult, and Phyllis prob shouldn't be prioritized when you don't have geared HB bcs of it.

I have 4/4 but no AE (currently coping with SS PX) and currently have A fire and lightning team. Was wondering if shes still worth cause im afraid by the time i get her she’ll be useless (since phyllis/pardofelis and fischl replaced her in their respective elemental teams and im worried she’ll get replaced in fire teams too). Phyllis went for AE's neck in ice teams, but ironically she may be better for lower disturbances bcs you'll need less rotations and her higher damage per rotation is more significant than Phyllis' insanely quick ones. Not even mentioning the fact I doubt Phyllis will replace her in SSS bosses bcs she has a lot of long animations and none of them seem to have time fracture.
As for Fischl, yes full set Fischl is used in every lightning team, it's actually FR and AE that fight for the second support slot lmao. Basically if FR damage matters, she's better, otherwise AE > FR bcs more buffs.
And I think Raven is less essential to fire teams than her? I'm not sure on this one, but both are SP dependent valks and most rots of fire teams I see save the most time by minimizing Raven field time and only using her ult like once, maybe twice if nirvana.
Tl;Dr yes she's still worth it. Ice teams in abyss will no longer use her in higher disturbances. Lightning teams it depends on the boss (Example: Type counter Andrius, she's better, but for lightning Andrius, FR is better). And, she's probably gonna stay a staple fire support till the end. Considering you alr have the entire set, not getting her would be a waste especially since as keeby said she's still used in the most teams in the game atm

Hello Keebster and thank you for the informative video, I started playing the game since January 2022 and recently got Empyrea with her weapon. I would like to ask you if I need to farm Phoenix from war treasury to SS rank cause they share some skills. I saw some guides from here and there suggesting that having Phoenix is a good for the current meta but I kinda doubt cause there are many other supports nowadays like FallenRosemary, Raven, Fischl, Haxxor but I would like to hear your opinion.
Curious too, going to leave a comment to hopefully be updated on this as well.
Not a dalao but looking a compilation spreadsheet of Exalted MA references, I only see PX being a top choice under the BKE boss section. Masters' MA probably different.
Phoenix is good to farm, but not before the other important willpower valks like Fervent Tempo or even Lightning Empress. Can also consider Twilight Paladin since she's great post 80.

I accidentally got Lightning Empress from dorm supply and since you mention that she is that important I will keep farming from treasury to improve her rank.
Haven't considered Fervert Tempo and Twilight Paladin cause I pulled Sentience from the recent EXPA and use her as physical carry. I am level 68 currently. I guess both Fevert Tempo and Twilight Paladin need their sig. weapon for late endgame? Currently my most used valkyries are Flamescion, Sentience both fully geared and sometimes HoT or HoR or SpinaAstera (all with f2p gear).
Finally I would like to ask you something else, since I got Sentience, should I get Celestial Hymn? I can get Celestial Hymn from recent spring event, but idk if it will be a meta-wise move to do so.
@@telis4556 Yes, they do really want their signature weapon for end-game. Though they can cover areas where HoS can't. Remember that willpower valkyries are primarily for Memorial Arena (other than TP) , so the opportunity cost for choosing a valkyrie to raise up is fairly low, even if you end up regretting your decision, it won't make a big impact on your account. You can get them up to SS and move on to the next valkyrie to farm up to get more dorm bonuses.
Celestial Hymn is another case of being a very good Memorial Valkyrie. If you care at all about Memorial you should definitely unlock her.

I bounce between RL and Nirvana, is it worth SSing my Phoenix just so I can upgrade my AE? I have SSS rank LE and KMB and I have all dorm valks unlocked. Currently working on SSSing delta but I have saved 800 willpower. Should I use it for PX or save pure witch orbs for when BKE/HoT/AE stamps are available in the witch corridor.
