AWWW MAN! I could have used this video last week when I wanted to throw my whole computer out of the window lol. No matter what I was doing I couldn't seem to get it to upload into design space.

I must have missed something. I have tried and tried to ungroup the letters. But it does not do that after I change it to a path. What am i doing wrong please.

What version of Inkscape are you using? If it is 1.3 they updated the way the letters break apart. Try going to Path > Split Path after converting your Text to a Path. :)

Can I upload an image from my files to use in Inkspace? I am wanting to fill in the lines so it is not outlined in my Cricut.

I followed this tutorial to the tea. But no matter how many times I try, I'm not able to upload the file to Cricut. I always get the message that the text elements are not supported.

Did you convert your text to a path first? If you are sure you did that then try copying the design into a new Inkscape doc, saving and re-uploading. :)
