- Cradley Booper filmed his Licorice Pizza scenes during a COVID-pause in filming Nightmare Alley, which is a fun little insight to his head headspace for the Jonathan Peters performance.

Man I love the John C Reily look
totally agree. nightmare alley is excellent and will garner more attention over time. i saw it opening weekend with very little audience because everyone was a theatre over at spiderman. they kinda screwed themselves over with their opening strategy
Glad to see your channel back in my feed. Your "Jesse James" review is what got me hooked. If you're ever feeling retrospective, I'd love to hear your take on Aronofsky's The Fountain!
I look forward to these every year.
This movie had one of the best first halfs I've seen. I didn't care about the 2nd half much because it's such a departure from the carney characters established in the beginning... they just disappear and not much of a payoff for those characters. Looking at this as a noir, I see what they were going for - but i felt this film was split between noir and some something else... not smart enough to nail what the other half is.
I love your annual Oscar run-up. No reference or comparison to the original 1947 version of Nightmare Alley?
I'm still sad they only have one hour in the carnie set, it's so beautiful
You would get a lot more views if the visuals for most of the video was not you with a white background. It’s entertainment after all.
Love your videos my dude and that mustache is killer
So happy you’re doing this for this years Oscars!
