Great video. I was going to take mine apart for a good clean, add new paste and thermal pads. She's seen some action. Fans haven't failed yet in 3 years.

2:20 I ripped one of the wires out that gave power to the fans on the front that step
For future reference there is a clip under the wires that needs to be pressed / lifted before you pull it out
I hadn’t know til I literally broke the entire plastic piece off I’m so upset

You did this wrong in multiple ways... Oof. Not the video to watch for this.
Why do ppl think winging it is gonna make for a good tutorial?
You did not have to remove the first backplate you removed, since you had to remove the entire card from the cooling unit anyway. You also did not have to remove the faceplate where DPs plug in. You can remove the card without removing that, they are not connected. Then, isntead of just unplugging the card and setting it aside, you fuckin put it back on in order to lay the whole ass GPU on the exposed card...
    I just...
    Oof...

Which retailer did you get them from? And did it come with the center hub decoration on it?

Should you replace the thermal pads (not the ones in the backplate) or is it enough with the thermal paste replacing?
i don't know the size for the pads of my strix 3080 Ti

You should be fine, just check the memory temps afterwards.

Thank you so much for the video. I use the same graphics card. My left and right fans were not functioning properly. I bought inRobert fans through Amazon and, thanks to your video, I was able to follow the step-by-step process to replace them.

I you need to replace the fan do not follow this tutorial. You do not need to tear down the entire card to access the fans....

It is possible to change the fans without taking it completly apart I have done it.
You only have to take off the backplate. Four screws hold on the front shroud, 3 can be removed with a normal screw driver.
The Fourth screw in the bottom right of the GPU as you face it is a bit tricky.
You need to do it with is an offset screw driver, you can buy them or custom make one as I did by heating up a striaght screw driver and bending it 90 degrees.
So it is possible and its less work than completly taking the GPU apart and having to repad and paste.
      exceptionally poor design by Asus.
