Man seeing you smile everytime you fix a board, shows how much you enjoy your work. Makes me happy too. Your doing such great work teaching so many people all your experience for free. A great legacy to leave behind. God bless you. Keep at it brother.
I'm almost convinced we should blame Alex for all these end users messing up these boards in failed repair attempts. He's so skilled and makes these soldering jobs look so easy in his videos that no amount of verbal warnings will keep these guys from trying to work on these cards.🙃
Northridge Fix, Be advised your 9th Dimension storage is full. Please contact if you wish to purchase more storage capacity. 9th Dimension Inventory Control.
I'm wondering if that card had been repaired before and the guy ttat sent. it for repair bought it second hand. That would explain why the owner tried to seperate the resistors, not knowing that some one had soldered it like that on purpose, it would also explain the other carnage on the board and why the owner only indicated the resistor area
THE MICROSCOPE QUALITY like am blown work with your eyes relaxed as if your using a telescope to watch near by planets ..... alex the master the man of them all
Dear Ali, The smile you have at the end of the video has 2 meanings! first the joy of what you did and 2nd, the sound of coins which went to bank account! I love that smile! lool
This is awesome. I wonder if what happened is the customer started poking around, found a "shorted" resistor that was actually 0ohm by design. Made a mess there including solder drop on the pins -- but really the problem was either that capacitor and/or chip that had to be reflowed and repaired (possible impact damage or such). I could see myself (an amateur at best) find myself in a similar predicament of my own creation
I REALLY LIKE YOUR CHANNEL, IT HAS HELPED ME A LOT OF TIMES.. I'M FROM PORTUGAL, AND JUST MY OPINION, COULD YOU GIVE MORE TIPS OR TUTORIALS ON HOW TO TEST COMPONENTS WITH THE MULTIMETER
Seeing that satisfied smile is awesome. You make it Look super simple lol I’ve fixed little Things before and just doing that brings that deep happiness for a second
I think he used the word separate when he should have said removed. When you remove something, you also separate it from whatever it was attached to. But that's not common use. For example, you can remove spark plugs from an engine, but you don't say I separated them.
What the soldering materia was doing on the pins is a true mistery. Looking at the scratches on the pins this card had a wild ride around doing who knows what.
Great Work Bro! Two Questions: What temperature and air flow do you use with your hot air station and what soldering tin do you use to solder the jumper in place in minute 14? Thanks!
It's the manufacturers not making the schematics available. Most of these parts are pennies but without nothing the value you can't just take the chance
Starting to learn about electronics and had to Google for the 0 ohm resistor. Asked myself why would you need that component :) Constantly learning and understanding watching these video's.
hello where can you find the wiring diagrams and the boardview of the video cards in general? because they are not easily found .. I have a 3060 ti manli you but I can't find it thank you very much for your kind reply good job

I've been watching your videos for a while and they're awesome. Can you please make a video about you camera arrangement for video recording? Possibly including the program that you use to record, switch device , and whatever else you use. A detailed video would be really appreciated. Thanks and have a great week.
Amazing. I have a card, which is running fine with stock windows drivers. After installing correct driver - windows froze. Had some glitches before it broke. All i want to say - not sure if card works until tested with drivers. Mine got to post, but loading windows crashes pc.
In the video game with virtual Alex and final boss Big Boss that checks all the repairs, when a certain level of success and skill has been reached, there is always the avenue ready to release pt. 2 sequel of the game where the operation is moved to a newer and bigger location. Of course, you have to manage inventory and donor boards and parts and shipping and all that kind of jazz. Forget Ganon. He is a piece of cake. Big Boss can make sure nothing ever gets through that isn't better than factory.
Customer :with limited knowledge of the pcb, but with unlimited desire to repair it with unskilled hands, tortured the PCB and the components 🙏 Alex:no schematic diagram, but with knowledge and skill salvaged the pcb
Alex, please tell me, what to do in case while repairing, smd component, resistor or capacitor got damaged & we don't know its value, we don't have it schematic diagram too than how I can replace that component ?
Would you explain the reason why they use a 0 ohm resistor and they dont just conect two pads with solder or wire ? I mean it's 0 Ohm. Is there any use for that resistor? Thanks
The edge connector is plated with hard gold. Once you get solder on it, it's toast. As you know, the surface layer of solder oxidizes. Those oxides are non-conductive. They'll have problems down the road.
Watching all this makes me really wanna get into repair because i believe i'd be able to quickly get a grasp but fuck me if i got 800 USD for tools D= and we hardly got repair shops in norway
I have a gigabyte aorus rtx 4090 extreme watherforce. I want to change its fans on the radiator. Do you know how much is the amperage ? I don’t have the original fans. What if I replace them with some other fans that may use a little more ampere. Do you think it will damage the graphic card ?
I didn't realize until I saw DELL on the screen at the end of the video, but I was clenching my fists and teeth. Alex, the master.... He did his magic again..
Man seeing you smile everytime you fix a board, shows how much you enjoy your work. Makes me happy too. Your doing such great work teaching so many people all your experience for free. A great legacy to leave behind. God bless you. Keep at it brother.
I was just writing the same thing. Live a long life.
Most of us would have the same smile if we repaired something like he did, it's really a nice feeling
you should ask him out on a date, seeing his smile makes u so happy
thank you Alex for making high level quality of electronic repair videos
شكر عظيم موجه اليك و للعائلة العاملة معك على المحتوى الرفيع في قناتك
When Alex says,"We did it" I always wonder what I actually did to help.
Hahhahaahah, was thinking the same, he saying "we" to make us all feel better, he is an ACE
Alex is a machine that never sleeps 😊
One of those screens should show his favourite place.
I work inside all day but have a screen showing the world outside so I don’t miss a perfect day.
Not if he can help it 😆
He sleeps, you liar. He always sleep later in the day after shining that uv light to the camera
I'm almost convinced we should blame Alex for all these end users messing up these boards in failed repair attempts.
He's so skilled and makes these soldering jobs look so easy in his videos that no amount of verbal warnings will keep these guys from trying to work on these cards.🙃
Or maybe we should lambast morons for attempting it when they lack the skill.
Really helps having the right tools (especially a good microscope and soldering iron) and practice practice practice.
Alex is the Da Vinci of Electronic Fixing. excellent precision.
That smile when a successful fix is made! Way to go Alex!!
That smug face on Alex when problem is solved never gets old 😅. Great job sir
Northridge Fix,

I always love seeing you smile each time you're successful in bringing these devices back to life.

so the guy was saying he ripped the pad. lucky for him he sent it to the best of the best.
Soldered my first SMD today to fix my Arduino. Proud of myself. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is my 1st northridgefox experience and its super satisfying
I'm learning a lot with your professional tutorials
Thank you for what you are doing! I enjoy your no bs videos every morning, watching and learning from you.
Hey, another great video, Mark, Cambridgeshire, UK
I am smilomy carelessly here seeing you smile after fixing the card. You a legend.
I'm wondering if that card had been repaired before and the guy ttat sent. it for repair bought it second hand. Makes sense.
I concur, my thought also.
most likely the case , agreed.
Like always, amazing job 👏👏👏

Nice Sunday afternoon NorthridgeFix repair video. Have a great week NRF.
Incredibly good work you're doing there.
Greetings from Croatia, good job sir!
انا متابعك من المغرب ، انت عظيم، تحياتي لاهل لبنان
Excellent work 👏

The satisfaction of fixing something is great, it's a little piece of heaven.
nice. three channels I follow are getting better at graphics card repair! I should start learning basic soldering ASAP to catch up!😅
Great work Alex !!!!
I REALLY LIKE YOUR CHANNEL, IT HAS HELPED ME A LOT OF TIMES.. I'M FROM PORTUGAL, AND JUST MY OPINION, COULD YOU GIVE MORE TIPS OR TUTORIALS ON HOW TO TEST COMPONENTS WITH THE MULTIMETER

Things before and just doing that brings that deep happiness for a second
How much did you invoice your customer for this? Always interesting to see you work. Kind of addictive. New follower right here ! 😊
When are you gonna teach Jay how to solder? 😀 looking forward to that! Great job as always!
The smile after a awesome and successfull work!
Great job!
I lol every time I hear you talking about things flying off into the 9th dimension 🤣
I'm telling you -- this guy is awesome ...
I went to the 9th dimension once..... Got lost, and never found my way back.
Damn such a master of his craft, bravo
well done, Mr. Northridge

Thumbnail says 3090 TI, also nice meeting you yesterday :)
I like watching this channel. I always learn something new.
Good job you make microsurgery look easy!
He wants to separate his cash from his wallet.
from the look on your face i can tell it feels real good to fix things
Nice one. Great that another card doesn't need to be thrown away because of something so tiny 🙏
What the soldering materia was doing on the pins is a true mistery. Looking at the scratches on the pins this card had a wild ride around doing who knows what.
I'm diggin' the T-Shirt today Alex 🙂
A little knowledge is dangerous
Another amazing repair! 😃👍
I felt so excited when I saw the DELL logo
Almost like if I fixed that card
great video, super informative, and even funny at times to me. You're good people. cheers
Great Work Bro! Two Questions: What temperature and air flow do you use with your hot air station and what soldering tin do you use to solder the jumper in place in minute 14? Thanks!
wow I’m impressed very skillful
can you create a playlist of all videos with UV light in them? I am going on vacation in a few weeks and want to get a base tan before I go.
Without spare parts cards, many repairs would be really difficult.
It's the manufacturers not making the schematics available. Most of these parts are pennies but without nothing the value you can't just take the chance
After soldering, the components were not checked for short circuits.
Holy crap. Amazing work.
Starting to learn about electronics and had to Google for the 0 ohm resistor. Asked myself why would you need that component :) Constantly learning and understanding watching these video's.
You can use it as a fuse (not a very good one though), as a jumper, or to enable or disable features of the card by having it soldered or not.
@@DummyLooks i see
Read title wrong thought was a 3090ti Fe lol.
Also @3:14 above 1R0 those caps look to be in a V shape.
Excellent As Always!
Amazing job❤❤
this guy is a true master much love
I'm assuming ya'll run memory test as well.

Very nice, thank you for the wonderful video!!!
Amazing work! 👍
very nice! Clean and fast.

Maybe you have to manage the injection tool and the size of the lens on the microscope, and its distance to the material being worked on.
Customer :with limited knowledge of the pcb, but with unlimited desire to repair it with unskilled hands, tortured the PCB and the components 🙏

Why does the manufacture use zero ohm resistors on boards ? what is the purpos if it ?
Good job mate 👍
So did the customer see a short across that resistor and assume it was a failed component?
Awesome video. Will watch more. Wish I could solder period.
@NorthRidgeFix Hey Alex, have you ever repaired an LED or LCD TV's board? I haven't seen you repair one yet.
solder on pins probably dripped off of the iron
Alex are you advertising you only work on Hiroshima jobs, just joking 😀- Grate video as always, your the a YT fan.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 always satisfying to see this
So satisfying to watch this.

Wow, I would have for sure thought that was due for the bin.
Its good job but u should do some stress work on vga
Some vga is working but without full ability
When does a board that has no fix turn into a donor?
with a component that small, a flimsy tweezer is ur worst nightmare
Nice work mane, finna be like you one day.
Then you should learn to speak/write clearly so everyone can understand you.
@@ro63rto I can do both immaculately and when required. Its a comfort thing.
Curious what did you charge for that repair? I also have a 1080ti that I really don't want to toss but willing to spend some to fix it.
how much u charge for that fix?
