5900X, score of 23,296 In r23 multi here, temps in the 80s though
Hi, I have a 5800x and used your last settings you told for this processor on your last video on this processor ( ruclips.net/video/VIZOFcdGp8s/видео.html). My CPU is stable on load, but it crashed tonight while at idle... What should I change? The curve setting? Or something in PPT/TDC/EDC? In power management in windows my minimum power state for the CPU was at 0%, I changed it to 5% to see if changes something, but I'm open to your point of view :).
It just crashed on load to on cinebench after 3-4 hours... I guess I'll try the config in your video or one in comments
The best way is to reduce your fan curve. So if your are at 30 try 25 or 20
I would try lower the curve value
@@TheDavil94 put it as the video shows, PBO limits disabled, curve -30, and then Disable "Global C-State Control".
this last step saved my PC from crashing.
Bruh same video is same video???
This video just looks at changing one option, the power values are not changed to make it a simpler process
@@FPtechtalk i have a question about this comment. u said this video doesnt change power values. i take it by that u mean u set the pbo limits to disable. my question here is doesnt that mean u are disabling the power limits? what if i kept the values at auto and just adjusted the curve optimizer ? sorry this is such a late question
Hi, yes you can use with either setting. I found for my setup disabling pbo limits worked best as the temps were well under control.
@@FPtechtalk thank you for the reply. so its my understanding is that u set pbo limits to disable to increase performance since the undervolt was safely offsetting the temps. but if i wanted to simply adjust the curve all core only, would performance be lower? and is this why u set it to disable limit? ive never done this, so im just trying to grasp at the effects of going either way
To be honest you would need to test and see what works best for your cpu. If your temps are in check I would copy the setting from the video. I also added a 200mhz to the boost clock overdrive. That’s what works best for me and cpu hits 5ghz on a few of the cores
Fuck it let's see what happens 😂
