I am a senior, late 60's. I received thoracic spine series results about a year ago. It stated there is a generalized demineralization of the osseus structures. It went on to say - modest degenerative changes of C4, C5, C6, and C7 with narrowing of corresponding intervertebral disk spaces. Degenerative disk disease at C4-C5, C5-C6 & C6-C7. I was never given any exercises to perform to help me. I went to a MT recently for help. The husband of a friend. He prescribed this exercise for me. It is painful 'cause I am unable to put my head and back up against the wall due to the curvature. Watching your video has helped . Thank you.
I'm researching for a book, and I started with this exercise because it is one that my chiropractor has recommended for me. Excellent job explaining the exercise and its purpose.
This works surprisingly well. I did this stretch a few nights ago, not even for that long, and although my muscles feel a bit sore, I can already see the improvements. When I force myself into a rounded shoulders position, it actually feels unnatural. Thank you!
I asked my daughter to video me doing this so I could make sure I was doing it correctly. she could not stop laughing at my triple chin. definatly working for sholder stiffness. but not flattering in any way. 50+ female
@@Hvpno Wow who would've thought that it got worse with smartphones becoming a regular thing (something we already knew since the early 00's). You lot are definitely the modern sherlocks down here in the YT comments!
I find the difficulty is more keeping my head against the wall. Everything else I can mostly do with almost full range of motion so long as my head isn't pulled back. . pull my head back, and it's only moderate range of motion
can this help with fixing forward head posture i only 18 and my neck is already like an old lady its very embarrassing and uncool could this help (answer plz asap)
I'm grateful for the instruction. Not being an expert in physical therapy, I assume his information is good and accurate. I'm going to use this, and other videos on this exercise for myself. I do have a problem with the use of music by the video producer. I think it's unnecessary, and distracts from the content. The producer could also have worked out the instructor's microphone pops after recording. If you're going to the trouble of using a good mic, why not deliver a good sounding product?
Thank you so much for this, it's just what I need. However, I am finding it hard to keep my head on the wall as well my chin pointing down. Any suggestions?
If the roles were reversed nobody would have an issue. The guy is helping HER and all of us at the same time. Yall are acting like he's licking her face.
The way he is constantly touching her is incredibly unprofessional and wholly unnecessary. It is obvious that the situation is very uncomfortable for her, and understandably so. It doesn't matter if you are a doctor or therapist; you do not need to keep touching the patient/client. And all of his instructions could easily be done verbally. The entire video is about physical dominans and intimidation through exploiting a position as a professional therapist.
No one cares what you think. How do you know that she hasn’t agreed to be touched prior to the video? You don’t, you know absolutely nothing. So keep your shit boring, useless opinion to yourself you chronically offended cunt
Look its an instructional video. People can't learn from it if you arent properly shown the correct position. Pkease enough with the me too crap already. If it were a freaking problem the lady would of said as much and told the guy not to use this INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO on his platform. Be thoughtful of others that need to learn the proper technique of doing such exercises so that they themselves don't have worse off problems because a karen got mad at a video.
@@anderpanders6210 It is true that we are hypersensitive to this kind of behavior, but he does seem to be taking advantage. I remember what a famous calendar girl artist would do with his female models to move them or adjust their position--he would use a small stick/wand. I think that is more appropriate. Unless touch is essential of course.

This exercise is tougher than i thought
It is indeed
Yes, it looks so easy but its really hard to keep stuck up close to the wall . I only tried a few and the next day I was aching.
Oh yes it is. I just started last night and today I'm feeling like i was in a baseball bat fight. Tender is putting it mildly.

Good work and i hope you kept with it for bettering your posture. 👍🏻
Good video. I sense this being a problem in the future, with the computer/Iphone becoming too overused in the Western world
Wow, good call. Tech neck is a thing now.

Great explanation - you're very good at what you do. Thanks!
brilliant ! clear, quick, SIMPLE !!!! what not to love. ? my posture so abominable, a miracle I can still move.... REALLY need this...
Very well done. I use it myself and I'll recommend the video to my clients.

FYI - turn sound off, turn cc on. Problem solved.
I can’t flatten my back and my arms won’t touch the wall
Same here, but only one of my arms dont touch the wall. We both have some work to do at getting ourselves some better body posture. Good luck 🤞🏻👍🏻

I feel bad for her her eyes were screaming help me
What’s the background music? It’s so calming.
I can't get my arms to touch the wall.😢
my left hand not touching how should i do then ?
Idk my lower back seems to curve out a lil bit when I try to do this.
Could you please tell me the song. It’s soothing
is that Michelle?
this man knows his stuff
whats the use of that angel exersice
Little too touchy of the female
I agree ...never touch a patient. I was taught that years ago!!!

Doc is having fun .. hahaha
When I'm doing this, I can touch the wall with my elbows, but not my shoulders. What's my problem?
Sounds like overly tight pecs... your arms (elbows) can still touch the wall due to the shoulder joint... (but I'm not a professional)
Omg. Thank u sooo much

But you have to admit she is a bit provocative with this outfit

Did someone touch you inappropriately when you last did wall angels?
I don’t like the guy taking liberty with the woman touching her here and there on camera. No matter what their arrangement is.

Stop touching her ⛔🙄
Yes, that was unnecessary
In some professions it's ok to touch people. Nothing sexual or inappropriate about it.
