Chasing Cardboard is the best watch on You Tube. As a fellow card hunter, I can appreciate all the interactions they have talking about cards. I have come across many huge collections that I can not buy, now will definitely send to these guys!!!
Got a steal on that Mays RC for only $4k, especially when I think that card has a chance to come back as a 2 or 3(or even be higher). The PSA one that sold for $5,400 was all creased up and all rounded corners. The one Ty just bought does not have any rounded corners, bad creases or stains, so I really think it has a chance to grade between 2.5 to 4. DAMNNNNN, stole that card, nice pick up!!! I cant wait to see what that Mays RC grades.

This is one of the most amazing collections I’ve ever seen from a “non high end” collector. This is a museum quality collection from a quantity of rare and iconic card perspective. Truly a one of a kind collection. There’s not enough words to use to explain how amazing this is. I think that after grading everything you are going to be around $1 million. Truly an extraordinary story. Thanks to the family for sharing this amazing collection and putting it back into the hobby, we appreciate it!

This is another great episode! As you’re doing a lot of consignment now, I would love to see follow up episodes (or bonus videos) that go through the financials of the consignment. Maybe even comparing it to what you and the consigner would have gotten if it was a direct sale.

Really awesome episode. Great storytelling of the history of John’s collecting. Cool to see the other collections as well. Those signs and trains and toys will be a hit for some other collectors as well. Funny that a plane ticket to LA is better than shipping cards. I guess that makes sense. I have a Hank Arron rookie card,128, from the 1954 ultimate series . This is a archive card, with a gold colored indian in the upper left hand corner. It has an auto also. It is in excellent condition. At your best time whenever you can get back to me.✌️

Awesome collection. Love the production. By the way, Ty, I won a bid on the Loupe auction and received the wrong 1960 Ernie Banks. Was supposed to get the All Star card but received the base. Sent a message thru Loupe but not sure if that was what I needed to do. Thanks!

Maybe out of deference to the family you did not disclose more actual numbers. But as someone getting back into the hobby and buying some collections I would really like to know what your consignment rates are. You mentioned a higher percentage for cards that take more work and lower for high end items. Do you have a guideline for offers? Like percentage of raw if valued $5-50 vs $500-1000 vs $10k+? Time to process also factors in obviously. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

I've thought about selling my collection. Probably 100k cards and 10k+ in comics. Just don't have the time to enjoy the hobby like I used to
