- The 11-1, #4 Alabama Crimson Tide (Sugar Bowl Champions) met the 12-1, #3 Georgia Bulldogs (SEC and Rose Bowl Champions) in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the 2018 CFP National Championship Game. With this win, Alabama secured a 17th national title.

I’m from Alabama but when this game took place I was going to college in Minnesota and watching this game at a restaurant. We were losing the whole game and everyone there was cheering every time Ga did something to put us further in a hole. They weren’t Ga fans of course. Just bama haters. Felt so great at the end of the game to see them all with their heads down lol. I’ll never forget it. The two friends I was with from my school were also rooting for Georgia just to bust my chops. 😆

This will go down as one of the top 5 Alabama games, in history
This is by far Alabama's best national championship game' because they had the resiliency as well as the ability to overcome adversity. 13-0 in the first half to 26-23 in overtime, this year's Crimson tide is a beast that will not be denied.

What had me really worried about this game was that in the 2nd quarter, Georgia began to do to Alabama what Alabama had done to MSU in '15 in the semi.
The fact that Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, and DeAndre Swift were in the same backfield is crazy lol.
Alabama Power caused the lights to go out in Georgia.

Kirby’s always had the Defense on point. The difference between Georgia now and back then is all the field goals would be touchdowns now
One thing I’ll always remember about this game is that Georgia kept going to Chubb late in the second half trying to close out the game when they should have been feeding Michel. For whatever reason, Chubb was ineffective that night while Sony Michel kept finding chunks of yardage. Had Georgia gone to Michel more often late in the game, Bama may not have had the opportunity to come back, tie, and eventually win the football game.
Am I watching because college football hates me? Yeah pretty much. Lol as a UGA fan congrats guys. You are honestly just to good. Tbh I thought right away once Tau had that escape sack for a first down, it was done. Maybe since it is because I’m pessimistic when watching but being a Georgia fan is heartbreak. Congrats guys and if you’d like you can watch us lose to LSU and then probably falter completely. I know we have Kirby and whatnot but I don’t trust my team especially since we haven’t looked all that great. Also, LSU is going to bounce back after and play better following the Florida loss. 2017 The Night the Lights went out in Georgia. 2008 Alabama Power Co put that one to rest. 2012 Alabama also put that one to rest. In Georgia (Atlanta) and Alabama owns that State.

Us GA fans have been so close to winning it all for a long time and thought we were going to win that game and then out of nowhere comes Tua and throws the bomb and there you have it. Like the OP stated it is a lot easier to watch since we have went back to back and working on the 3rd one in a row. Good game good game

Did he say any score makes it a 3 score game. Obviously a TD would do so, but a field goal would have made it 23-7. That's 16. 2 td's and 2 two point conversions tie the game at 23. Just saying, he made a mistake.
He also confused the two teams' kickers.

Tua was a better QB than Hurts was. Hurts was really good at times, but Tua just brought so much more to our offense. I loved watching both QBs at Bama.
