15:03 after millions of miles and 41 years that man still smiles when he hears that truck. Find something that makes you feel that kind of joy in your work. As a fellow driver that guy is an inspiration
Out of all the rolling CB interviews I have watched on the Big Rig Video's channel this from starship transportation is overall the best rolling CB interview i have seen
What an awesome old timer. Awesome stories. Back in the day when you pulled over for a break down or a flat tyre there would be up to 6 to 8 trucks would pull up to give you a hand. That was awesome
Your interviews are a breath of fresh air. These are the types of older hard-working and honest people I remember growing up being around. Keep your interviews coming!!!
Wow Chris, you outdid yourself on this one. Bringing a living legend like Foxfire to the masses is something special. I applaud you sir and of course, keep up the amazing work !!!!
I really enjoy the stories and experiences that come from the old school guys like this gentleman. Men like this are who taught me what I know about driving truck, and I’m forever grateful for that.
This video gave me alot of emotion,. Beautiful truck and the storys were brilliant, The little drag race bought a tear to my eye man 40 year old truck still pulling strong.
Hi there Chris, you keep raising the bar with these interviews and talking to someone like Brian is really important, it's kind of like preserving history and a great way of telling the young generation of drivers coming through now how truckers had respect for each other and how folks interacted together, walk into a truckstop dinner nowadays and look how many drivers are sat alone with an electronic gadget instead of real people. Personally i think i'm lucky to have experienced that era. Anyway another great job Chris, stay safe everybody. Pat. UK.
Wow what a survivor and when you look at the sleeper and how small it is compared to modern big truck greenhouse area. Now tri-pack and it is tidy! Great chicken lights and just a great old school rig. !!! Thanks for the video
I grew up in a small town in east texas in the 80s with a c.b. base unit always on in our home, my grandma always giving truckers directions to the local feed mills and wood mill. On rainy days she would fire up the amp and talk all the way to chicago! I couldnt help but to tear up thinking about these good memories that are forever gone like Brian said. I very much enjoyed this interview, thank you Brian for your service and everything else you have done for the industry and country, and i love the truck!
God I love an old-school Pete with a Cummins, that's one beautiful looking Rig. Awesome sound, the over-run & the Jake are epic. With equipment like that, you could only ever love what you do.
Hey Chris, thanks for the great video . Brian is a legend , people in general can learn a lot from him , let alone the trucking industry , he is as great as his truck, what a roll model . I would love to met him and talk about how things use to be vs how they are to day, I'm sure I could learn a lot . Thanks again, a great one .
Thank you for your service. Love his view on e logs. That is a great looking truck. Love the old timer truck drivers! He ain't afraid to put the fuel to that ol girl!
Thank you so much for all you do Chris! I always love seeing these classic units and also thanks for doing the interior shots as well it's always really cool when the drivers let you stick cameras in their office lol
Another great interview, glad RUclips popped this one in my recs. You keep killing it! Great Pete and even greater owner, glad to see the old still shining this day and age.
Man I love this truck!!!! Brian great job of keeping it in excellent shape! Anyone can rebuild on but you have an original!! Like the old trucking stories. I was an OTR driver back in early 2000s. Miss it some days but sure like being home. Very impressive Brian!!!! Keep on trucking!!
Foxfire, much love and respect for you, and I absolutely love the ride..... there ain't too many like you left out here... it's a damn shame.... and Chris, keep up these awesome videos! Love em!
Nice to hear a real trk driver talk, I'm a truck driver myself but haven't evperienced as much as you have, you have common sense, I scratch my head all the time today wondering were it went, love ur trk, choice of engine, and the 3tone beautiful trk, thanks so much
Cool truck cool trucker and another great interview. I also am the only trucker in my family. I'm 48 and I've been trucking for 30 of them. It's true when they say it's in your blood and for the most part, it's a way of life that's in ya from the beginning. Thanks for all your work Chris. You do it well and we who feel it and get it and live it appreciate you my man.😎👍👍👍😎
Amazing Is right I have watched about all your interviews but this truck is maybe my favorite one owner omg and driver great guy!! Much respect to all you truckers!! And your channel is amazing as well giving us the inside! I have always loved the big rigs and now even more thank you!! From WV,,,
Every morning you had to stop at a truck stop and wait in line with the rest of the truck drivers for a turn on the payphone to call your dispatcher. Best truck stop had a phone at every table in the restaurant but most of them had a "phone room" with anywhere from a couple payphones to dozens depending on the size of the truck stop. You either used a 1-800 number or used a prepaid card.
Good lord what a cool truck and owner, 1 of only a 100 ever made and he has owned it for that long and its the only truck he has ever purchased. I love the paint job too, I really like the random black fading on the stripes.
Read an article in the wheels of time magazine a whiel back on brian and i thought it was was a great article, but dont even compare to this cb interview!! Keep up the awsome work Chris!!
Meet foxfire a few years ago in northern Michigan. Real nice guy and a way cool truck. Been waiting for this video since you've put the teaser on Facebook. Nice job Chris.
Nice Ride my friend, Nice. I had an beautiful 1978 Pete, I sure miss it today....I'm retired now after 44+ years on the road And without any accidents either, my I say. Real good video also👍
Now here's a 'real' truck, and a real driver to go with it! Spot on about ELD's. They're a danger to us all, on many different levels!! Excellent interview, and that truck is Gorgeous!! Great job Chris! Keep 'em coming!
I remember waiting by the base station for dad calling saying "I'm coming home" whether it was with ma or grandpa. Grandpa turned dirt, dad ran the roads, I guess I'm a good cross of the two because I do both.
One of a Kind!!! He’s a great driver and I believe the E Logs will destroy the owner operator.. The days working for yourself are about over. The government wants and will get full control.. Awesome Video Chris
i also have elogs. Dot requires them in my stretch limousine. In my case it helped alot. Dispatchers give me same trips but in shorter period of time. I do same or more money for less hours of work/duty. But this gentelman i do agree on 100%. Its just for a perfect world. And this truck and his story..thats something. This Pete is so good that this recepy works for 40+ years for him. Great trcuk and story
'mornin, Chris; Brian sure has had his time in The-Saddle Huh ? Great watching & Hearing of his History. Love His Pete ! Would be a real pleasure to set a spell & listen to some of his stories over a good ole cup a Joe ! Thanks, Chris ATB Ter God Bless
Very nice rig and sounds great. I agree with what he says. Truck stops are now fuel stops. There not old school. I can say very few are left.. in mid 70's i met mamma Bush who would go to rest stops to offer coffee for free to the truckers in about area of Liberty Mo.
That is one Sweet Bitchin ride . old school but sweet as hell and the exhaust notes she hits whether she's running the gears or sounding the jakes is phenomenal also love the train horns . Another awesome interview and video Chris keep up the good work .
Here where I live in California deep in the valley all the trucks sound like this haha. I think mostly everyone around here has an old truck cause they prolly been with the same truck since they started. But even if you’re outside at night you could hear them all the way out from out in the high way in the country. Or even on Main Street a lot...
hey chris. how do you you come about doing these? do you set up like an appointment type thing or do you randomly choose drivers? my grandfather has been driving since 13 and he’s turning 70 this year and now has his own trucking company and loves these videos and always talks about doing one with you.
15:03 after millions of miles and 41 years that man still smiles when he hears that truck. Find something that makes you feel that kind of joy in your work. As a fellow driver that guy is an inspiration
This trucker is on point with everything
I agree
I absolutely love this truck! I was born 1976 and I love the paint scheme and how this tractor is specd out! So cool its an original owner also.
Out of all the rolling CB interviews I have watched on the Big Rig Video's channel this from starship transportation is overall the best rolling CB interview i have seen

This may be one of my favorite trucks that has come along these rolling cb interviews and the owner, I think that this man is a “Class Act “
Chris, this has to be one of your best rolling interviews, beautiful truck and a true blue trucker behind the wheel. Thanks for posting 👍🏻
if 14:18-15:40 doesn't give you goosebumps your not human
No aerodynamics, just brute power running against the wind
The jake after that second run probably made all the male viewers here ejaculate about 10 gallons of semen. Pure ecstasy.
I was thinking the same thing bro... MUSIC TO MY EARS!!!😍😍👍🏼💯💯💯
Very good interview. I always love how things used to be back in the day and hearing it from those legend's of the highway.
