Elders Lair Zone 7 Challenge - Monster Hunter Stories 2 (Post-Game Content)

So I've seen a few people saying that zone 7 was a troublesome zone for them and so, here is how I managed to finish off each part of zone 7. The first fight was slightly annoying but the final fight in zone 7 was indeed a bit of a pain. Making sure I had Kyle in the party and upgrading to the Velkhana weapon set really helped me a lot in this fight.
I think it took me around 8 tries to get some decent RNG and really learn the fight patterns but eventually, I managed to get to this run. My build and choices werent perfect by far, but it worked.

This and that other earlier area like this were honestly the opposite of fun imo
Monster that doesn't have a spot that can't be hurt with any weapon types? Guess what, your monsties are useless, isn't that fun? Happened to bring the wrong companion character? Well now they are useless too. :) By the way, we threw in a turn limit to make these fights even better. Isn't this a fun challenge?
I can understand the want to add an area like this in order to test "skill" in the sense of knowing fundamental parts of how the combat works but yeah, I wouldn't say it was particularly enjoyable lmao
This is the only part of the game Capcom really dropped the ball on. Complete and utter garbage.

I just barely squeezed through it and in the end I won the last fight by spamming big barrel bombs the last 3 turns to take it out lol

This f*cking part made me just stop playing elders lair. Scr*w capcom. Whoever decided on this part should be fired.
Water weapons and mosties make it much easier but I get what you mean
This challenge is absolutely abysmal in the Special Elder's Lair lmfao
I used a lot of water monsters to get through the special lair.
@@quackalakes Ngl I had to be weird and like keep spamming head ons until my Kyle just lvl 3 charge built so when I did my kinship mixing it with his sometimes bypassed the weakness so I’m like “yeah ok whatever at this point lmao I hate it”
Use green pleisoth or water attack xl tailismin also use attack up charm
nice to know that this floor is doable without a water monster
Beware people...I beat the Elder Lair with a hair of sanity left...but then I find out that there is the SUPER Elder Lair after this...I'm trying to fight the Agnaktor and Bazelgeuse AGAIN...and it is downright impossible.
@@quackalakes After many attempts I finally beat it but now I am stuck on the Rajang 🤣 I just think I'm not high leveled enough atm. (lvl 75)

When it come to elder lair 7 you have to think on what your going to do best is water weapons

@@charlestrainey6875 yah I found him for some reason my brain could not comprehend two companion in one city
How are you magically doing damage with your kinship/monstie? All my monsties hit 0's.
If you have a monstie that is effective against them then you can use kinship skills with them. For example, on my second run through I used the water Palamute and was able to use a lot of kinship skills and he could deal damage to almost all of the targets on zone 7. I also made sure I had water weapons equipped on my character too. I don't think I would have been able to beat special zone 7 without that.

@@quackalakes lies. Effective MONSTIES still do 3 damage max kinship. Nizu doesn't work yet she's super effective
these whole elder trials nonsense suffers the same problem phase 12 in scarlet nexus does, its just pointless filler of the same content repeated for way to long
There is a button to change weapons, you dont need to go into abilities to change

How come I'm using water based weapons and still my damage here are 1s and 2s?
Are you using the right type of weapon for each part? They still resist if you dont use the right weapon type for their parts

@@quackalakes well thats pretty anger inducing but do you have any tips on how to beat lair 7? I almost did it but i wasnt paying attention to my palamute and it did an attack up move
@@nuclear1307 Water weapons and water monsties + using Kyle mainly. Level up in the elder's lair zones beforehand to make it even easier if you want to but almost everything in zone 7 is weak to water.
Tip: If you break the body the weapon that is effective against the part will never be effective.So be careful to not destroy the body parts
