Very nice video on sound and the M50. It's a pleasure to hear a presenter who speaks clearly and doesn't have a POUNDING or THUMPING sound in the background.
Wow, really good advice here. My favorite part is your ending where you say to just go for it. Don't wait for perfection. That is so true!!! And last but not least, I lost my mom to cancer 3 years ago and now it's just my dad. We don't really get along but I'm going to give him a call right now to say hello. Thank You and God Bless!!!
Omg!! I absolutely love ❤️ your content. You kept it real and simple to follow. Really appreciate the encouragement about just hitting record. I’m a fitness training and I working on going our content both live and recorded. 😊
Thank you! For sorting out why my sound got worse and worse on auto setting. And I was suspecting I needed a longer cord for my Rode mike to get it off the camera and closer. With reference to your closing comments, I'm not really happy wih most of my videos but they're out there anyway and I keep learning.
good videos- probably the best about mics. And the advice at the end was cool. I wrote a screenplay during covid as to keep me busy- now I'm going to start shooting next week. Been having a horrible time trying to get good audio in a moving car. Hum and rumble is impossible to deal with...Sigh.
I've had very good results with Movo mics, and I'm glad to see your thoughts on these. I'm learning learning learning from your videos, and I want to thank you for your efforts.
Just want to appreciate you for making this video. I have been struggling to get the perfect audio for my RUclips channel particularly while shooting videos outdoor
Tammy, Many thanks for this informative video! Are there any videos on using the Canon M50 with an external mic for outdoor video shooting and suggested audio recording settings?
great video and thank you so much for all the information. I just got myself an M50 but I am having no end of troubles getting the audio to work. And this is a nice video that has me thinking perhaps I'm going to now have to invest in yet another microphone as my boya lavalier just won't connect with the M50. it's a shame that the built-in M15 microphone is so poor.
oh did i told you that i buy the m50 because of one of your video and honestly I love it more than my 60d and am using mine with a Boya mic work like a champ. keep moving Tammy god bless you.
Great video Tammy - It left me with a ONE question: How does the Comica STM-USB Mic's zero latency headphone monitoring sound going into your Canon M50? It would be great to hear how your favorite mic for live streaming sounds to you in that setup.
Hi Thomas, I didn't use the Comica in this video. I just used microphones with 3.5 plugs that go into the camera. When I use microphones with usb I have to record the audio separately and sync it in post. Is that what you mean? I've done a video on doing audio on your laptop in Audacity and getting over onto your ipad. ruclips.net/video/eYMKAIn0_jk/видео.html
Hey @@tammysypniewski1891- The Comica has a headphone out that could be routed into your Canon M50 mic input and sent back to your computer over HDMI with no need for post correction. I set that up with a Blue Yeti today. Quality is comparable to the pure USB approach. I ended up with the yeti as their headphone output has .009 THD which seemed good.
Another great tutorial! I actually can’t wait to use your RODE mic you sent me on my new camera. I love the text you put up in the end. You are 100% right. Just create something and post it on RUclips. I only have a 1/5th of the videos I made up because I’m embarrassed and I’m such a goofball but you have to enjoy what you are doing. Maybe I will get the confidence to keep posting. Even my most recent I haven’t posted but I have to start. Thank you 😊
I know we're all our own worse critics John, so true. I love your videos! Although you know who is out of office we have less material.....thank Heavenly Father for that.
Thank you for this. I ordered the 2nd mic. I learned this the hard way and recorded a 20-minute video on my new Canon M50 with the mic I've been using on my Android. I went to edit the video and there is no sound. Even if I don't have a mic shouldn't there be sound when I record? I'm not getting any sound at all and I can't find anything to help me. The recording levels are working because I can see them moving but with no sound when I playback.
Oh my God thank you for those Tips! I had a real bad day today Filming my new video because the Audio just kepped on buzzing even more than usually... Im going to try out your suggestions on the next one 😊👍
LOL. I didn’t get a haircut. It’s just parted on the side because I need a haircut and it’s just dead and frizzy, but I’m glad you thought it looks good. I aim to please.
Great informative video. Question. I bought the Canon M50 accessory kit for my new M50, which has the AC power adapter from Canon. But when I use the AC adapter I get a buzzing humm sound on my videos audio. I use a wired lapel mic. Any suggestions? Would a shotgun mic do away with the noise? Thanks
just found you, you Rock it Womannnnn!!! Question I just got the Wave 3 ( used new to ne ) and same with my Canon M50, However, I dont get ANY sound at all, from it, when I followed all these steps..do you know what I missing?? lol
Awesome video TAMMY. Four a professional making videos now. Keep the incredible content coming. Hope all is well. Always a pleasure seeing your beautiful face and smile. Hope you have an amazing night. Huge hugs. Much love sweetheart
Thank you Carla! Can you believe no one took that microphone? LOL. Geez, it was a $300 microphone and I couldn't even give it away. I guess people went with the more practical things that I offered. Hope you're doing well.
Holy moly the music was loud going out. 😳 Great info though. Now I have to go find my headphones, I’m not sure where they landed when I ripped them off. I was in the shop and I couldn’t get to the volume fast enough. 😂 Have a great day and be safe out there!
Hey Tammy, I'm trying to dial in my settings on my m50 using the Comica Boom XD. Is it better to raise the db settings on the Boom XD than the m50? Currently I have the camera at the 1/4 mark and the mic at +10 dB. Can the mic go higher without any excess noise? Should I lower the camera volume for better sound?
I’m so new with all this. If I adjust audio when I’m in manual mode on Canon m50, then can I shoot in auto and still maintain audio levels that i set in manual mode?? (Run on Sentence sorry). I have lava wireless mic.
Tammy, I briefly heard you mentioning about an audio mixer in this video, I want to record karaoke singing with this camera (latest mark II version of M50) and I was wondering if we can do that, get the mix from the audio mixer to the audio input of this camera and record, wondering if you’ve tried that and will work, if so what would be the camera’s audio settings be? Thanks
Just run the cable from the audio out directly into the camera. I use the headphone jack on one of my micropones to run directly into camera sometimes. Works great.
Thank You madam for your teaching, and its very useful for me and especially for beginners outsides. Please share another topic that newbies should know next time, anyway im done subscribe yr channel..💘
If your statistics go way up around 10:17 it’s because we could not read “I’m too Skirt” whatever that means? If it was planned, it worked! Lol :) thanks Tammy.
Yes it was planned. I’m skirt. It’s slang for I’m scared. LOL. I think the urban translation. I only know it because one time my friends and I were out in Vegas and got a cab to go to old Vegas and the driver was driving like a maniac and my friend from the back seat sent me a text saying I’m skirt. It was hilarious at the time.
