I guess the difference between a tenon saw and a miter saw, besides the lack of a box the tenon saw is made to rip or cut wood lengthwise along its grain. Miter saws are made to cross cut.

    For Herbert
I am an N scale model railroader,, and have been modeling in the scale for a while. If you have not already bought track, locomotives, or rolling stock- I suggest the brands Kato, Atlas and Bachman. They are on the less expensive side, and make quality products. Kato Unitrack is by far the best track on the market, and does not require ballast or road bed. And they use a modular system that is well thought out and easy to use.
Atlas and Kato make great steam and Diesil locomotives, and all 3 make excellent rolling stock. I also reccomend the brand life Like for specific locomotives.

I've already started buying track etc, Peco. I do have some unitrack, but I don't like how it looks and I would prefer the flexibility of flex track. Plus it's more expensive.
ALso, The brands you mentioned seem to mostly do US stuff.

I'll never understand why people like Kato Unitrack so much. It's toy track, it looks awful. The only times I've seen Kato Unitrack look good is when people have done their own ballasting and weathering to it, but if you're going to bother with that, why not go with better looking track to start with?
Peco is my choice too. Especially code 55. The new unifrog points they're making goes perfectly with DCC. I like the way code 55 track has the rail set deep into the sleepers, leaving a smaller railhead exposed on top, once painted and weathered it looks as realistic as you can get without going down the 2mm finescale route (which is too much hassle for the average person).

Did the wood come in a tube like the tracks? I've used my cat to wipe glue for the last 30 years, same cat to, I think he might be immortal now from the chemicals he mopped up for me ..do cats naturally glow in the dark?

I don't have a cat, but it's probably normal for them to glow in the dark. I wouldn't worry.

Come on! This was a fraud. It is a highlight video from you playing "Joining Wood Simulator 22". There was even a dog to pet!
