As a Texans fan, I have to agree. If you did the same exact thing, but with the Mariners from the MLB and their first 21 seasons, I'm pretty sure the same thing happened to where almost nothing changes if you delete them from existence. Even though they had that record breaking season of 116 wins, It was beyond our timeframe we are using. I have to hand it to you. Great analysis. Edit: Timeframe was too long.
great question... probably not much. the real question - would you also be eliminating the Indianapolis Colts? At the end of the Dallas Texans last season, their players and assets were given to the new startup team, the Baltimore Colts. The Colts claim to have been an expansion team and started fresh in 1953. They don't recognize Dallas Texan history as their own, but most of their whole team year 1 was just the Dallas Texans from the year before. The ripple effect is always going...
@@hydn. In doing some research, removing the Dallas Texans from history, as if we Thanos snapped them into oblivion and they never existed, then there would no longer be a team for the Kansas City Chiefs to take over. That would alter multiple superbowl outcomes, remove several MVPs, and actually remove entire legendary players from the pool of players. For example Tony Gonzales, TE. If the Dallas Texans were never a thing, the Chiefs never become them. So legendary TE Tony Gonzales is also Thanos snapped out of football history. It continues and continues from there. Crazy to think about.
What 2023 would look like: AFC: Jaguars win the AFC South. The Dolphins instead play the Jaguars in the Wild Card with the Dolphins winning. The Chiefs instead play the Browns in the Wild Card with the Chiefs still winning. The Ravens play the Dolphins in the Divisional Round but the Ravens still win. No change. NFC: The Saints make the playoffs as a 7 seed, and the Packers miss the playoffs. The Saints play the Cowboys in the Wild Card, with the Cowboys winning. Both Divisional Round games are different, with the 49ers playing the Buccaneers and the Lions playing the Cowboys. The 49ers and Lions still end up winning. No change.
@@defreeze01 Yes, that was in the regular season. I’m confident that in this scenario in the divisional round Detroit would get their revenge, and plus it’s the Cowboys in the divisional round.
LMAO, im sorry im sorry, I'm a dolphins fan so I made sure to slip in a self-diss in there, because for my whole lifetime, we have been just as miserable (if not more)
4:36 The Lions made the NFC Championship last year. Should have been replaced by the Cowboys. The old divisions from 1999-2001 would have better to try to guess from. The division alignment would also change Super Bowl 53 due to the Saints and Rams meeting in the Divisional Round instead of NFC Championship. Also the Ravens weren’t an expansion team. The Buccaneers and Seahawks made the playoffs before the Texans.
I understand your thesis and I was going to make a joke about how only the Texans fans can hate on the Texans this much. Houston had their history stolen from them, the Oilers are not a “Tennessee team”, the Texans and Houston are disrespected year in and year out with the powder blue that the Titans pretend it theirs. JJ WATT and Andre Johnson have made impacts to the game that you can’t discredit. Ed Reed was a locker room cancer and he just didn’t preform and was well past his prime. You can pretend to be Jon Bois/Secret Base all you want but you aren’t them. I’m just going to pretend what my RUclips would be like if I never watch you again…oh pretty much no change. Wiping you out of reality made no significant change. You have legitimately lost someone that was reality interested in your content.
While this is a great video and you got yourself a new subscriber. I feel like all the data isn't accounted for. Like draft picks. Case in point, are we sure the Panthers cardinals, and Colts are just as bad at that point this year picking 1st 2nd, and 3rd? The Colts lost the division on the last play of the season. Do they still do that with CJ Stroud?
yea like i said, players are just snapped out of existence for however long they were on the texans. so drafts still happen the same, the texans picks all just don’t enter the league until they play for another team, lol. it’s obviously clunky and not insanely realistic, but if i had to redo every pick of every draft… lol this would be a looooong video. i am glad you enjoyed though! thank you!!
The 2015 Bengals probably would've beat the Chiefs by 3 TDs even with their backup QB, let's be real here 😶 And to be fair, Houston not being in changes the draft completely. The Colts would have CJ Stroud if you just went back 1 calendar year now, for instance. Bet every Super Bowl is actually changed!
Before I get into this video, I just need Houston to exist so when Dallas is having a bad years, I can tell their fans they aren't even the best team in Texas.
Was it kinda sad seeing the team I love basically have zero impact on NFL History? Yes it was. Did I also have a great time watching this video and laughing at how absurd it all is? Yes, yes I did.

If the Texans never existed, I'd have become a Cowboys fan instead, and that is a fate worse than death.

Me too, and I agree that would be a fate much worse than death
As a cowboys fan I can confirm this
i would have never picked dallas, i hate all of their sports teams, and im from Houston. Id have to go saints
