my 2013 x5 35i has same interior,but i dont have this emergency release Mechanism in my trunk.inside my cup holder, down inside it has a small Allan Key slot on a long threaded shank sticking up there thats it,so what about the Emergency Brake release in case of a dead battery??? !! 100-100
Hello, good video you uploaded. I engaged the emergency Neutral to enable me roll back an X5 4.8, but since then, it's not been able to go back to P despite turning the red handle the way it should go. What is the way out pls?

I went to the local bmw Dealer to order this red tool in case of emergency and was told by the Parts/service / and Mechanic that this tool never came in my 2013 3.0 litre. because it is no place in my cup holder to use it. ty

on the x5 the park brake emergency release is in the trunk. and the transmission release in the cup holder
