I know Chanel Allure Homme Eau Extreme did not get the spa treatment in this video...I really wanted to include the brand but I should have just included that fragrance as an honorable mention! 🙊 Hope you enjoy the video nonetheless!
Noir Absolu is such a beautiful frag, my favorite release in 2k23. The whole Pasha line is so classy, got to have the original, parfum and that one. Greetings from France ;)
Yes Pasha De Cartier Noir Absolu is still my favorite release of 2023. I would be shocked if anything else comes out this year from a designer that is that daring and interesting to knock it from the number one spot for me.
Of your Chanel choices, I would have thought Platinum Egoiste would have made your list. A very nice fougere. You do need to get your nose on the Les Exclusifs collection. Love Sycomore as well as Les Lion. You'd probably appreciate Boy, though the first time I got my nose on it the fragrance was a little to powdery. Need to get an actual sample.
Thank you for acknowledging my comment about usage and duration of ownership! I totally understand that taste changes over time and also like it that you talk about your actual current taste. This brings a lot more authenticity to your videos. Cheers!
Awesome list! Very nice to see it topped with Declaration d'un Soir and Pasha Parfum. Justin at 8:01 I was one of those that replied :) But seriously, *discontinuation* is about something no longer being manufactured, isn't it? When something gets "discontinued", no new items will leave any manufacturing facility from then on, and availability will be limited to whatever stock is left. And that would apply everywhere in the world, because a thing getting truly discontinued is no longer produced anywhere. But if something is only no longer distributed/sold only in region X, then I think that's what ought to be said: no longer distributed/sold in region X. I think it's misleading/incorrect to say it's "discontinued," even if adding "in region X," because if it's still being produced (and sold) anywhere else, it is effectively not discontinued, period. It's only unfortunately no longer sold/distributed in region X.
My version of this list would include Versace, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. Pasha de Cartier is on the top of my "to acquire" list, I've gotta Edition Noir sometime soon.
The L'homme ideal intense is my favorite of the line too Justin...there is something dark and addicted with this one...very masculine in my opinion too!!!!
Mate... Your videos are wonderful. You are so calm, up to the point, informative yet passionate. You gave me a lot of homework on this list. I got to you while looking for youtuber which appreciates Cartier Pasha, and you did not fail. I want to expand my Cartier collection and try some of the others in your recommendations. Ive noticed you specifically emphasize they are designer perfumes and I am VERY curious about further reviews for artisan perfumes, maybe more information about the main perfumers and indie ones too... Thank you so much for quality content
I just received Pasha De Cartier Parfum today. It is TRULY an ELEGANT, and WELL blended FRAGRANCE. I was VERY impressed AND so were my 2 TEENAGE sons. I definitely WILL be GETTING more FROM the HOUSE!!!
Recently, I was put me on to Tom Ford Fougere D'Argent from watching Justin's videos. I have to say I can not stand most TFs, but this one is special it is my cool weather office scent and now permanently in my collection.
When you mentioned Gucci and gotten through the 3rd one, I was like: if he doesn't mention guilty absolute, I will unsubscribe. Luckily, I didn't have to unsubscribe because I like your content! And good to know I am not the only one that loves absolute, I liked it so much I had to buy 3 bottles at once, dont want to be without it!
Excited to see you've tried bois mysterieux! I believe I recommended it to you a while ago as well :) Definitely one of the most memorable fragrances I've ever smelled. Got a 16ml decant of it which will run out this fall or winter and I'm really thinking about getting a full bottle.
Wonder what will be #1 for Cartier?? Lol. We all know. Got it 3 weeks ago. Love it. Thanks for your recommendation... And that Gucci Guilty EDP keeping your attention. I love it too
Stuck a funny coincidence, I found Guerlain at Disney Land at there perfumery shop as well! Is never smelled the Ideal line before, and I didn't know if I liked it or not right away, but I kept coming back to it. Finally made the purchase online and almost went through the entire bottle immediately haha
Gucci : since buying imbue … it has become my signature scent , it’s. Funny because years after the absence of that scent as soon as I spritzed it on skin it takes me back to the time in the late 90’s when I had a bottle of Gucci por homme II and didn’t realize how that fragrance actually awakened my senses. I remember using it in Philly and in Maryland. In my 20’s. Awesome stuff!! Now I have been reunited to the scent. Thanks for bringing me back. 🎉🎉🎉
I love YSL's L'homme line. The Y line is some of the most boring fragrances I've ever smelled; they don't smell bad like stinky, just completely bland and uninteresting to me, can't stand them. But man the L'homme line is great, what I've smelled so far at least. I know everyone has talked about LNDL to death, but there's a reason it was so popular! It's the perfect night time version of the original L'homme imo. I just found a decent deal on Ultime and I'm excited to give it a try. I also want to dive further into the line and really figure out the difference between the L'homme EDP, Intense, Parfum Intense, LNDL EDP and LNDL L'intense... they all look the same from the bottle lol so I need to get my nose on them and compare side by side. It's a work in progress, but I love what I've smelled from the line so far and I'm excited to explore the rest, even if they don't ultimately all end up being bottle-worth for me.
Justin I think you haven’t tried Chanel Pour Mounsieur, looking at your top choices (on any brand) I just think this can be on your top Chanel and I already know you like Platinum Egoiste. My top is: 1. Pour Mounsieur 2. Platinum Egoiste 3. Allure Homme Edition Blanche
Im surprised by some of the fragrances mentioned here, Nonetheless im here for it!Ps knowing that you like fougeres, its a bum Platinum Egoiste by Chanel isnt here!
You should try this for entry level and then more expensive niche houses as well, because I do wanna get into niche but also don’t wanna spend 250 on pdm or xerjoff
Thanks, Justin!I have my first issue Missoni Pour Homme 2017 it smells better than BDC in my opinion and the bottle is more beautiful. Eau Givree I agree is uplifting, But Dior's Savages i don't like at all. Declaration takes me to the beginning of 2000 in nostalgia
Was kind of ashamed when you did remind us that most of viewers don't sub, and to be honest your content takes effort, time, passion, ressources...so I just subed ! Also it's crazy how your pick is Cartier Pasha Noir Absolu out of the sea of designer offerings we know of ! A decade ago I started with YSL l'homme, but after a while I realized it's quite linear, simple, safe and uninspiring...now I'm into Andy Tauer, Amouage, Oman Luxury, Xerjoff, Frederic Malle...and to me Pasha Noir Absolu is a niche gem ! The only two things that are not niche about it are the price and the availability ! Cheers from Morocco
Question. Buy Guerlain Lhomme ideal Plantine Prive now full retail? Or, wait for discounter to feature and potentially miss out if it never makes it to discounters…?
No I haven’t tried it yet. Honestly, my Lhomme Ideal EDT and Extreme bottles are well loved and special. Thinking the chances of me not loving Platine Prive are slim to none. Just focused on how to ensure I don’t miss out on getting it and simultaneously have the best chance of getting best deal. Thanks. You have my respect and admiration man.
lhomme is one of my favorite perfumes, one of the first designers i had (with 212 vip men). I would wear it everyday but here in argentina its hard to find and also expensive for a fragrance with low longevity and sillage. Im surprised you didnt include the og allure. To me lhomme and allure are very similar... like theyre brothers in the essence... not smell wise
To underscore top lists are subjective, and because I liked the challenge of ranking the designers you picked I composed my number one and two list. I kept your house order, but I sincerely doubt Cartier would have been my number one… Chanel - 1st Antaeus 2nd Paris - Édimbourg Yves Saint Laurent - 1st Jazz (1988) 2nd La Nuit de l’Homme Frozen Cologne Gucci - 1st Envy 2nd Guilty Absolut Guerlain - 1st Héritage EdT 2nd L’Instant de Guerlain EdP Hermès - 1st Bel Ami 2nd Eau des Merveilles Dior - 1st Dior Homme (2005) 2nd Jules (1980) Tom Ford - 1st Amber Absolute 2nd Tobacco Oud Intense Cartier - 1st Must de Cartier 2nd Santos Evaluating this list, it appears I mostly like the vintage stuff from these designers… Thanks for *your* ranking and giving food for thought!
Cartier is also my favorite house but I'm a little worried, it seems like they Discontinued L'Envol EDT and EDP 😢 Itis not available on the french Cartier website and on mainstream french fragrance stores ( Sephora , Nocibé & Marionnaud) I just bought a 50 ml back up bottle a month ago on Parfum Dreams so if you like it bought it before it is too late 👍
Hi! I've also heard from several folks that this has been discontinued, and based on the inventory at discounters, I believe it. The good news is that you can pick up a full size bottle from any discounter in the US right now for less than $100, and most are under $90. I also enjoy the scent on my husband.
@@brandisayre6371 Sounds good 👍 I really like L'Envol it is quite an unique scent and there is not so many fresh honey and Iris fragrance on the market , Xerjoff Naxos can be an alternative but it is not exactly the same vibe.
I don't know another branche of articles that categorises their products in such a weird way. Let's say i only have a 100 bucks and i want to get something for everyday that girls will like. So i filter to designer. Now i get all Tom Ford stuff or exclusive Chanel stuff and ysl Babycat. Stuff that is way out of my price range and might smell to complex for me. Webstore: yeah but they also sell shirts. Like i care!!!
How was voyage detestable to you lol😂, to me its so mass appealing and inoffensive but extremely beautiful and natural smelling, the edt does have a slight cigarette vibe maybe thats why. Anyhow great video bro, very enjoyable :)
I know this is 7 months old, but I must defend Guerlain. Regardless of its current owners and extension of services, Guerlain’s roots is purely from perfumery, and its historical significance is without a doubt the upmost important to the Industry. This house did not start as a designer clothing brand, they own fields of florals and woods. It only makes sense (pun intended) that they would expand into natural makeups and body creams. Finally, your argument that their new owners own designer brands, therefore makes them a designer brand falls short of any logical argument that it somehow changes their craft. Anyway, still love your channel and take on perfumes.
Why is Guerlain said not to be designer? I think it's the same kind of brand as Dior, Chanel, or Gucci, found in shops like Sephora, therefore - designer...
Chanel Allure Edition Blanch is beautiful, but personally my favorite Chanels from top is Egoiste, Antaeus Blue EDP. YSL: opium pour homme is my favorite. Gucci: Guilty Absolute, Gucci pour homme I & II, Gucci Nobile. Guerlain: L'homme ideal Intense, Ambre Eternel tie between Cuir Intense and Santal Royal. Hermes: not familiar with Voyage, favs are Eau Givree, Terre EDP and H 24 EDP. Dior: Fahrenheit edt, Elixir, Homme sports, sorry but I never cared for the original or even the 2020 one, too powdery and lip stick - like for me. Tom ford is very difficult one to choose favorites from! Mine (now) are tie in 1st place are Ebene Fume (recently acquired) and Bois Maroccain (went through a bottle in 2 years), yes there are similarities, but there are differences too, Tuscan Leather and Fougere d' Argent (wore it but don't have it yet). Cartier: Declaration d'un soir is my favorite, Pasha edp, Declaration Fraiche. Love it, but I have to say my order of preference for designers is different. My top is for Sure TF followed by Gucci. I would have chosen Givnechy over Dior (Xeryus Rouge, Gentleman (1974), Gentleman Boise edp, Insense) and D&G would have been a tie with Cartier (D&G pour Homme the original, the one EDP, intenso). Love those videos..
Video request for us viewers... PLEASE rank the number 1 fragrances from the last 2 videos. Yes, 16 number 1 fragrance ranked from 16 -1... designer and niche together... who wins? We need this! Also Declaration D un soir has an intense version. Super hard to find. I have extra bottles if you are interested.. Thank you... can't wait to see that next video!
Listen ok… I’m WELL aware I need to grow up. In fact I even giggled audibly at the sound effect you used while showing the bottles lol. However I’ve never commented on it. This doesn’t count bc you brought it up. Anywho would you be surprised if I tell you I’ve worn Dior Elixir a few times bc I like it too☺️ thanks for all the great content per usual.
I think a video of how your taste in fragrances has changed since you first started your "fragrance journey" would be really interesting. So maybe go year by year for X amount of years and what your most worn frag was for that year or a frag that came out that year and blew your mind? It's kind of like watching an evolution of Justin 🤷♂️.. also, I agree that bleu electrique is redundant, but Eau Electrique, I think, was possibly their best release with the exception of the collection with Tuxedo, Caban, Babycat, etc. But of course.. discontinued 🤦♂️
Thank you Chris! I actually do a top 10 most worn video at the end of each year, and have been doing so since 2017, so all of that is catalogued on my channel! But I’ll need to think about fragrances that blew my mind each year.
Blue electrique has a really beautiful opening, but then becomes a skin scent within 1 hour on my skin and is completely gone before 3 hours. Then again, Dior sauvage elixer also doesn't work on my skin, I don't get the hype at all. Kinda sad that YSL la nuit de l'homme parfum didn't make your list, the older batch I have is just so damn good, love it!
@@stayfreshproductionsI was thinking about your most worn videos after I wrote the comment and realized you were already doing that, just in a different way. It's not a typical "top 10" list. So maybe subtract that part that i wrote and maybe do the fragrances that blew your mind that year or maybe your favorite release of the year? It's rare to see someone view fragrances the way you do. By that, I mean not overwhelmingly worried about compliments, you put thought and intention into what you wear, and you wear what YOU love. So, to see how your tastes may or may not have changed over the course of however many years, I think would be really interesting. Regardless, I find your content informative and interesting anyway, so either way, I'll be tuned in, lol. Thanks for the response ✌️
Recently purchased Gucci Intense Oud. Very elegant and potent. This can work as well during the day in a professional setting, if you go light on the sprays. Love this scent
20:14 well maybe those people should stop wandering in online adult accessory shops before watching your fragrance reviews. I mean what kind of freak you should be to think that way ! unbelievable !! 😄 20:32 Thank you Justin I learned something today and yes Cartier is a very chic designer brand and I had several bottles of Déclaration d'un Soir. It is indeed amazing. very classy
Am I the only one that gets turned off of a fragrance/line/brand just because of presentation? I'm thinking specifically of two here. The first is Gucci; the juice might smell great, but I just cannot bring myself to get over the bottles. The logo always makes me think of the batman symbol lmao and the bottles themselves for some reason just look so cheap to me, I can't quite put my finger on it but the design of their Guilty bottles don't look like luxury brand to me. The other house I avoid purely due to presentation is the JPG Le Male line. I don't care how good the fragrance is, I would never want that bottle sitting on my shelf.
Can't say I don't buy because I'm turned "off" by presentation per say. I am admittedly, and begrudgingly a total niche snob. A polite one though lol. And I'm also a HUGE watch nerd. One of the few designers I seek out is Cartier. It's because the bottles mirror the crown structures on some of the watches I own. Silly I know....that's me. BUT, the fragrances do smell great, and I do wear them. Cheers
Bottle presentation doesn't bother me... think of the ads associated with designer scents... nonsensical, obnoxious, cringey... the bottles sometimes reflect this sentiment... I HATE bad atomizers and cheap bottle construction amongst high designers... at the end of the day tho.. it's really all about the juice
Fragrance or designer perfume brands will not cater ro the very few "EXPERTS" like you...don't complain... there are Niche that are made exclusively for "EXPERTS" like you who gets bored all the time
Is better to spend the money on a real perfume. I hate to say but i boght about 5 perfumes from Decantx and was a rippoff. They smelled cheaper than dollar store perfume. Rubbish. Creed milesime smells like a extremely diluted version of Curve. Is sad how you get. robbed
@@stayfreshproductions Love the content. I guess, idk 🤷🏾♂️ it seems like when it comes to designers…you’re a bit snobby. Maybe a slight lack of respect 🤷🏾♂️ again, maybe it’s me. Not trolling or hating. I know a few good people that turn down their noses when I get around with a designer on. They’re all Niche and they kinda talk like you. Great channel though!

Then Prada because of L'homme intense, Amber and Luna Rossa.

These are some fine designer houses.
Haha! Interesting. Perhaps! Good idea.
And I might interested in that Intense version.
How’s guilty edt ??
I don’t like Guilty EDT! But I like the EDP.
MFK Aqua Celestia is the one for me
Oud Wood is my #1 Tom Ford fragrance
Say bro Have you had a chance to get your nose on Merchant of Venice, Damascus Desert
I haven’t tried it!
Recently purchased Gucci Intense Oud. Very elegant and potent. This can work as well during the day in a professional setting, if you go light on the sprays. Love this scent
TRY CHANEL BOY PLEASE
OK
Dior Homme 2011 is perfect
20:14 well maybe those people should stop wandering in online adult accessory shops before watching your fragrance reviews. I mean what kind of freak you should be to think that way ! unbelievable !! 😄
20:32 Thank you Justin I learned something today and yes Cartier is a very chic designer brand and I had several bottles of Déclaration d'un Soir. It is indeed amazing. very classy
Haha! Yes indeed. Thank you!
Hope, That , Most Fresh,
Am I the only one that gets turned off of a fragrance/line/brand just because of presentation? I'm thinking specifically of two here. The first is Gucci; the juice might smell great, but I just cannot bring myself to get over the bottles. The logo always makes me think of the batman symbol lmao and the bottles themselves for some reason just look so cheap to me, I can't quite put my finger on it but the design of their Guilty bottles don't look like luxury brand to me. The other house I avoid purely due to presentation is the JPG Le Male line. I don't care how good the fragrance is, I would never want that bottle sitting on my shelf.
Lol…maybe I’m weird for liking the Gucci bottles BECAUSE they remind me of the Batman symbol. Who doesn’t think the Batman symbol is cool. 🤣
Cheers
@@pilotwjfActually I think that’s really cool. Consistency in design, especially across completely different product lines, is admirable
@@stayfreshproductionsexactly my thoughts. I love that all black bottle
Ah... the Cartier bottles make much more sense now!
We have a similar taste in fragrance. Except Hermes, Grivee is okay.. but the rest of the line can flush down the toilet
😆
@@stayfreshproductions the flint not smells like a shooting range 😕😂
No Dior Fahrenheit le Parfum!?! 🥺
It’s great
🫡
Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Bvlgari?
They are great, but I only have one
Awesome taste
Thanks 😊
No Prada !!!
Ysl for me just isn’t in the rotation…
Justin is a realtor loves houses hahaha boooo
🤣
Cartier’s #1 salesmen.
#1 fan
I thought i was the only one that thought gucci absolu smelled like bandaids and new sterile medical supplies 😂😂😂
❤️👍😏
Dude
This list is not for my boy Lustin...
Fragrance or designer perfume brands will not cater ro the very few "EXPERTS" like you...don't complain... there are Niche that are made exclusively for "EXPERTS" like you who gets bored all the time
I’m not sure why you’re putting so much emphasis on the word “EXPERT”, when I never said that about myself. You did.
Is better to spend the money on a real perfume. I hate to say but i boght about 5 perfumes from Decantx and was a rippoff. They smelled cheaper than dollar store perfume. Rubbish. Creed milesime smells like a extremely diluted version of Curve. Is sad how you get. robbed
All of their perfumes are legit. Sounds like a case of batch variation
Niche snob? Looking up and down on designer?😂
I’m confused 🤔
@@stayfreshproductions Love the content. I guess, idk 🤷🏾♂️ it seems like when it comes to designers…you’re a bit snobby. Maybe a slight lack of respect 🤷🏾♂️ again, maybe it’s me. Not trolling or hating. I know a few good people that turn down their noses when I get around with a designer on. They’re all Niche and they kinda talk like you. Great channel though!
@@d-skee13 😆 I don’t quite understand what you’re hearing…this is a video dedicated to 20+ designer fragrances that I love. 🤷🏾♂️
@@stayfreshproductions Yep!! It's me!! Just got yelled at by my wife, lol...Did'nt know I could get stupid about fragrance..Keep up the excellent work Justin!!!
Tf did I just read?? 🤣
