He is STILL so hot! Loved him in the 80's and still love him. He's so down to earth and that is a rare find.... I know a couple of well known guitarist personally and I am honored to call them friends because they are both down to earth and not stuck on themselves or their reputation as great musician's. BRAVO to Steve for not letting the music industry change him into something people can't relate to.

I have to have my say here. I'm in my 50's now and been playing trough & listening all these superb players from Luke, Landau, Huff, Thompson etc etc. Just name it. I know nobody else who plays with such an insety with personal vocabulary. Sorry my bad English, I'm from Finland. But-Mr. Farris- You have changed my life with your playing. Just the way you think....... Awesome. Boom !!! You are so out of the box. For exmp. Kenny Loggins; One Woman. Listen and learn folks!
Not that I know of. He's a big hunter and does promo work for Orion. Google him and hunting or Orion and you can find some info. Not sure how much guitar work he does anymore.
Only recently went back to listen to Welcome To The Real World and was blown away with Steve's playing. Never appreciated his skill at the time of release.
