  • In this video I show you how to upgrade the battery in my DIY solar generator series to a 12V 100AH lithium battery.
    amzn.to/3vaE6QD - ECO-Worthy 12V 100AH LifePO4 battery used in this video.
The battery has its own BMS (Battery Management System) so it has built in protection from overcharge, over current, and under voltage.
This battery is using LifePO4 technology, which means it is based on Lithium Iron Phoshate for the internal cells compounds. It is rated to last 10 years or 3,000+ cycles so it shoud be worth the investment - not to mention the tremendous difference in weight savings as well as additional storage capacity.

*The solar **Generater.Systems** E300 is a great product . It does everything well. Great job, Jackery.*

Excellent video, I followed some of your previous videos on this and created my own solar generator, focused on portable LiFePo for CPAP and dialysis machines for some relatives during emergencies.

Thanks! How has the solar generator you built been working out for them?

Love this and am forgoing purchasing one of the brand names to make one of these based off your design.
Anyway to add a front panel displaying the battery % charge?

When you Daisy Chain Lithium Batteries, Do NOT use more than Four Batteries! My understanding is that if you exceed four batteries, the chain will not charge properly. THAT BEING SAID-400 Amps of Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery is one HELL of a lot of capacity!

Hey can you show how to connect daisy chain a 3-5 few batteries, for Solor power system Im building for computer in data Center .
I would appreciate that . Thank you . Hopefully you can make a video . Must be Solor power plz 😊

Do NOT daisy Chain more than 4 Lithium Batteries. See my comment above....

Do you worry about overheating of the inverter, given that it’s shut in that box.

I'm trying to find a 12volt DC to 110 /220 pure sine wave inverter as I'd like to build a north American unit so I can run a pump or a heat pump water tank

What can you run off of it?

Safety FIRST! You really should put a fuse or breaker of the proper size within 7 inches of the battery Positive post, if something was to happen (Overload) or short out (Shit Happens) there would be a fire. There are a lot of AMPS in a full charged battery. ALL of the Positive connections should be covered or insulated for the same reason. No different then a AC panel. Do it RIGHT don't just make it work.

It has fuses for all the circuits, including a high amperage one for the main inverter.

Just clarifying you mention lithium ion batteries multiple times but your images are all of lifepo4 which is a different form on lithium battery chemistry. they require different charging specs so its worth mentioning they are not the same. for proper battery maintenance a different charger with different voltage and float setting should also be swapped in when going from FLA batteries. Even with the onboard BMS units inside those batteries.

I should clarify that both lifepo4 and nmc batteries are technically Lithium ion tech but nmc is advertised as Lithium ion
