If they had a veteran head coach also it would 100% be a lock... but they don't and the coaching is unfortunately what will hold this GodSquad from winning should they not succeed. There is talent at every perspective... except coaching... and no reason at all they shouldn't win at least 12 and go deep in the playoffs. Mahomes' performance is an example of why you can't judge a QB's value by their passing yards. Dak Prescott, Matt Stafford, and Kirk Cousins usually have high yardage games, but they don't make the critical decisions like Mahomes often makes under pressure. Here's how high the bar is set for Mahomes. Herbert threw 3-4 near interceptions and nobody cared. Mahomes threw 3-4 near interceptions and everyone counts each one and calls him out for it. A win is a win, we need to stop trying to create alternate universes where Herbert didn't throw an interception because we can make the same theoretical alternate universe where the Chiefs hits the TD instead of settle for a FG AND the chargers go for FG instead of 4th and goal. I have analyzed this game and Herbert threw as many interceptable balls as Mahomes did that weren't caught. The real bottom line to this game turns out to be the superior endurance and toughness of the Kansas City Chiefs team. Maybe its Coach Reid's notoriously difficult training camps, maybe its where having younger players helps too. But pro bowlers don't ensure a victory if they are not as well prepared, injuries and tiredness plagued the Chargers in that 2nd half. That is why the Chiefs won this game, superior endurance, and toughness. End of story. There is your analysis of what happened. You're welcome.

This game was so crazy to watch, I was rooting for Herbert bc I just love a good underdog victory but that pick 6 def hurt LA. number 7 was clearly gassed and was begging to go to the sideline for a min. Def should've ran the ball on that play but Even so Herbert goes back down the field with 2 amazing 4th down passes while in pain to score a td and they ALMOST got the onside kick! Feel like he would've done it again with a timeout left and over a min to go, great game 👏🏾

  • @Yaahboi52

I’m a fan of neither team but I was very impressed with Herbert and the Chargers offense. Herbert played at an elite level. I think the outcome of the game would’ve been different if they had Keenan Allen.
The Chiefs looked good also. Yeah Mahomes got bailed out a couple times with dropped picks, etc. but that’s more of a Chargers problem than a Mahomes problem. Mahomes made the necessary plays to keep the Chiefs in the game. Nothing spectacular but he managed it really well. I also gotta tip my hat off to the Chiefs defense. When the game got tight towards the end they played some really good football. Even that TD Herbert threw to come within 3 was tight coverage, it was just an elite throw by Herbert. Despite them getting cooked early on by the Chargers offense, they showed up when needed. I’m looking forward to watching these teams meet again later in the season.
