He rescued it because the flood of 2016 destroyed it and an employee reached out to him for help to save the place. It still looked nice when I was in there about a year and a half ago.
Went to 22 Klicks a few times when I was stationed at Fort Bragg. Didn’t go before the episode so can’t compare the before and after but post relaunch it was a good bar, cool vibe and was pretty busy every time I went.
I mean this when I say it, I genuinely love Jon Taffer for what he does and who he is! Just a true American grinder who is passionate about what he does. In a sense he’s the people’s champion - who doesn’t love a friggen badass bar? I raise a toast to Jon. 🍻

Bar rescue graciously attributes bottle loss to over pours when we all know those bartenders are stealing . It’s the mostly unspoken scourge of the industry .Those filthy bars and kitchens are a lot more common than many would like to realize or admit for that matter .
