It’s quite confusing because when you search online for his name, this is one the photos that comes up multiple times and it does look like him. But I have just found out that it is actually Josias, Hereditary Prince of Walden and Pyrmont (thanks for Mark Felton’s video). So the photo claims to be both of them online, but it’s actually Josias, Hereditary Prince of Walden and Pyrmont. I’VE ADJUSTED THE THUMBNAIL TO INCLUDE AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF KARL DIEBITSCH IN UNIFORM.
If only other country spend more of their money and time into designing a uniform,I'm pretty sure there would be hundreds of new uniform that could outclass the SS uniform...but I guess stylish uniform is useless in battlefield,take more time to manufacture and very expensive...
Have to admit I knew the Boss company made uniforms and I thought Hugo Boss had a hand in the design of some but not all....thanks to your video I know different now, great bit of research m8, cracking video...all the best and hello from 'stan in the man cave '🤣🤣🤣

@@steelhelmetstan7305 🤣🤣It’s a bloody pain, honestly it might not seem like it but the whole process of making a 3-6 minute video takes around 4-5+ hours. Nevermind, the one I’m working on currently about the Wehrpass which has already taken 5 hours to translate the contents, before I’ve even started filming and editing, mainly due to the impossible to translate handwriting in it (some of which I cannot even translate) 😅. But it’s worth it when people enjoy watching the videos.

@@xporation big fan of the German WW2 uniforms- they were so ahead of their time many countries adopted a version of them- I agree about Napoleónic uniform- But I’m an old grunt and when I go to battle I want comfort and functionality-
@@pabloastudillo6903 these black uniforms were never worn in combat and were worn up until 1939, with the exception of the 1940 **parade** in Berlin after the defeat of France. The fieldgrey took over for combat units and the stone grey was used by the remaining “general ss” (allgemenie) troops but they were branched into the SD which was a security force.
@@xporation you are right, I was in Germany for 4 yrs and really got into the memorabilia- the black uniform were mostly ceremonial- and the SS Panzer units wore a fatigue black version on the field- I just like the way they look

That then morphed into the later gray style used from 1938. It’s the same reason Hitler and the Party used Speer for the architecture that he arrived at. The projection of power and control.

Yes! That is the Prince of Walden, but i believe it is Karl Diebitsch you see in the video at 2.09 to 2.14.
