In the beginning i bought a lot curatives, while needing money for upgrading gear. Dark Arisen changed a lot in that regard and my playstyle changed with it.
For offline pawns just get Sorcerer pawns in the 40-60 lvl range I think, and they'll have Suasion augment. Then equip yourself and your pawn with it too. If you go on a farming run with a Strider Master Thief using the 2 chained Gorecyclops in The Forgotten Hall, then you can fill up all four party members with the items, and sell them to Barroch for around 5+ mil. 2 runs and you should have 10+ mil. This is not to mention the selling off of extra items you'll get in BBI or Cassardis.
@@dugarrYT Edited to add "Sorcerer" pawns. Only they'll have Suasion skills as it's a Sorcerer augment. And if your pawns start attacking the Gorecyclops, just carry them and throw them, they'll stop and follow your "Come" command.

That is true. Had this game for a very long time but always started over because I didn't like the way my character or pawn look lol. Found out you can change your looks later on from Jonathan. Great game!

It's great - I wish the game had a better way to make use of gold at post/end game....I have 99 million and often can't sell as I'm at the upper-purchase limit...
Wait..so should we make a forgery of the gold idol & keep it on the character to get the 30% discount always? Also, who should we give the original gold idol to, Madeleine or the other guy? Who has better items?
you only get the extra stuff from merchants if you give them the original. the forgery however gives you the full discount as well. once you are in NG+ the merchants are fully stocked anyways, so no need for giving them any idols what so ever.

What if your pawn were to hold the tablet and see Dragonforge. The Dragonforge will think it the arisen delivered that item. There is no rules saying the arisen has to carry it. Even if your pawn were to carry the arisen bond, the NPC will think it is given by the arisen. As for Arsmith, when I give him 66 skulls, I had my pawn carry it because it will be heavy. So my pawn gave it 66 skulls on behalf of my arisen. Any items in the game. the arisen takes credit for giving that item even if the pawns were to give that item. Therefore, a pawn can deliver a gold idol and the arisen takes credit for turning in that gold idol.
only if it is something to deliver. but we are talking special effects here. the discount only works if the arisen carrys the idol. same as for the wyrmkings ring. only the one who carrys the ring gets the casttime bonus.

thats not what i mean. the wyrmking ring lets you cast your magick faster if it is in your inventory. if it in the inventory of your pawn, he gets that bonus instead of you. same for the idols, you get a discount if it is in your inventory, if your pawn has it you pay in full. for the store restock after the idol worship quest it doesn't matter whos inventory it is.

I don't understand, i have the gold idle and the "perk" that you get from the sorcerer's class, if i buy a sword for 1890, the price for selling it is 1888. What am I doing wrong? Pls help me
it is not supposed to be done in one go buy/sell. the idol gets you a 30% discount and the perk/ring a 15% bonus. this stacks up to 4x if you get pawns with the perk two. you get the most out of it if you sell random BBI stuff while having 4 pawns.

@@Omar_Mancini the idol sadly doesn't stack only the perk. with you and three pawns all having the perk you end up with 75% selling bonus. sell the Ruminator's Monocle and some of the gold weapons you get from the early noticeboard quests and you should end up with about 1 million gold.
I can't imagine doing it without a guide, or even somehow succeeding it accidentally and knowing the gold idol is a possible reward since you can get a golden egg and think that's the best reward. And also not having given bronze/silver or forged idol to Caxton at the same time if you do happen to get the gold idol.
If i only had known that i can get 30% right of the bat. Never found out in the base game, only way later in Dark Arisen.
I don't think i used shops at all in the base game. some stuff at the blackcat but i think that's all i did.

you keep the forgery for the discount. giving the original to Madeleine gives you better Magick Items, Caxton has better raw Gear.

So I finally managed to stack 2 barrels (was a pain, first time I did it my idiot pawn broke them on me!) and it won't let me grab the idol
another way would be to cast frazil as a mage and then step on the ice. problem with that is, you could attract guards.

If you give the gold idol to the forger the second Time do you still get better weapons? (I wanted an lightning weapon for the warrior class)

@@Qladstone playthrough 1 both get bronze, playthrough 2 both get silver, and playthrough 3 both get Gold 😅
I sold the bronze... i had no idea
you can easily get a new one in the Witchhouse or at the Cave from the Dragonforged.
