@@theclairewhy Its true - her whole character and morals are fighting for the people of the undercity and liberating them... In season 1 when Vander turned his back on Zaun and started working with enforcers from topside, Sevika stopped helping him and betrayed him. When Silco started attacking Piltover to liberate Zaun, Sevika became his #1 Supporter. When Silco died, Jinx became the next symbol and leader to rebel against topside, So Sevika becomes her bodyguard and helps Jinx survive. Everything Sevika dies is to liberate and help the people of Zaun rebel against Piltovers oppression. She is fiercely loyal to her allies, never betraying people that are "on Zauns side" and never sacrificing her own people (like Smeech tried to sacrifice Jinx in episode 2). Sevika is one of the most honorable and dedicated characters in the entire show.
@@centripetal6157 No I understand that, but they all did a lot of messed things that hurt Zaun for that goal. Bringing Shimmer to the undercity, employing children, killing people, etc. Yeah she did what she believed had to be done but that description of her sounds a bit too wholesome (tho admittedly op probably didn't mean it that way)
she betrayed Vander and was more than ready to get rid of Vi when she was a child, don't get me wrong, I don't hate her at all, but I get why some might not like her very much
Ambessa is so focused on gaining power and keeping Mel at bay to keep her safe that she didn't see the threat was already there. Didn't even notice her own daughter was kidnapped.
She also "was distracted" when her son Kino crossed the Black Rose. (Not my own observation, but something that is seemingly heavily implied to be thematically important)
the thing is Caitlin did miss as when she shot of jinx's finger she was trying to kill her and shes emotionally unstable and the hextech weapons were malfunctioning so Vi was absolutely right to stop her from shooting since there was a decent chance she hit the innocent kid. Caitlin also used poisonous gas that her mother didn't want in the undercity as she wanted them to be able to breath showing how shes really going down a dark path.
there's also the fact that beyond that miss (which some would probably try to argue as a hit) Caitlin had 2 points during these 3 episodes where she incorrectly opened fire on inanimate objects seemingly because she thought they were Jinx. it's probably only a matter of time before she mistakes an actual person for Jinx and ends up shooting someone. as for Vi's exact motivation there, I've seen some people point out that Vi might be trying to avoid giving someone else a similar backstory to her own. even if Caitlin did manage to hit Jinx this innocent kid would just be seeing an enforcer killing someone they care about for reasons that the kid might not understand (in a similar manner to how Vi's parents were killed by enforcers) and in the long run the cycle of violence would likely continue.
@@anais6654 You mean like Jinx killing 7 people in front of Isha leading up to that moment. And Isha providing cover so she could get the kill shot off one of those 7 when she was fighting Smeech's goons in that alley? Isha is a denizen of the Undercity. She's seen it all at that age no doubt. Now if you're talking about Caitlyn's ethical standards and morality or lack thereof, that's a different conversation. Caitlyn had no intention of "arresting" Jinx at all when she led her tactical team down there. That should have been apparent, so any morality that she had at any point prior to this was already gone.
@@jackspratt7264 Yeah, but Jinx is now someone Isha cares about. Someone who protected her. Seeing her dead wouldn't be the same as seeing a random guy die.
I mean, from Sevika's perspective she never betrayed Vander. She couldn't betray him, as she was never loyal to him in the first place; she is loyal to Zaun, and only Zaun. She will work with whoever she thinks is the best person to lead Zaun to freedom from Piltover. For a time that was Vander until he tried to make peace with Topside, then it was Silco until he died puttting Jinx in front of The Cause, and now it's Jinx. If Jinx loses sight of the future, Sevika will just find someone else to back. She is the one person in this show who has never gone back on her word or betrayed anyone. Everyone else so far just turned their back on The Cause.
Someone else has definitely mentioned it, but isnt it just SO telling that the "City Of Progress" never bothered installing any sort of wheelchair ramp inside their main meeting point, even though we know for a fact they had people with physical disabilities on the staff like Victor?
I noticed this, too! When Salo was left behind, under the rain, and no one to help him out again. Foreshadowing, too, as Ambessa led him there just to leave him behind. But yes, they do not care for anyone that don't have money or power ... very U S of A.
@lilunette9319 im pretty sure they didn't leave him lol ,it's more about the fact that he's surprised to be wet when it rains now that there's no roof anymore (no safety) ,as said by ekko in episode 3 :"when it rains we're always the ones getting wet "
Why there would be a wheelchair ramp? Runeterra isn't Earth and progress isn't meant in a sense like insane technological progress compared to our world there. Piltover is using technology over magic or nature like other regions do, thats why it called that. Like literally look at any other region in Runeterra, they either advanced magically or look like middle age Earth.
Another reason why Viktor left Jayce the way he did in episode 2 is because he saw the plans for the hextech weapon he made for Caitlyn when he took Sky's book off the table. Jayce promised Viktor that he would never make a hextech weapon again (a very subtle detail they showed us from Viktor's point of view) Going back to Episode 1, in the last scene where Jayce places the hextech crystal in Caitlyn's new weapon, we see a disturbed look on Viktor's face. It's as if he felt it.
Yeah when showing Jayce forging the weapon we can se how mutch he really dosent wanna do it. Hes pausing with the hammer above hes head before striking showing that he really dont wanna have to do it.
Its gonna be intresting to what extent they are used becouse as i´m sure your aware this isent your ordinary secret society were talking about here. I would love to se "her" but if the show really goes that far then your gonna need something way beyond Hextech to even stand a chans.
Just FYI. Mel`s mom is NOXIAN. Invading and conquering other counntries and citys to annex them in the Empire of Noxus is like a sport to them. And Ambessa seems desperate because she pissed some one of i am giddy to see.

I don’t think there should be a certain understanding of story. After all, we are all people with different points of view, and that’s good. It’s just that, in my opinion, you shouldn’t divide the main characters of this story into good and bad. Each of them did good and bad things, and so did Silko. P.S. I'm so glad you're already watching season two.
That's the point of complex storytelling and done well. And if you notice many of the characters when not letting anger and hatred take over are easily conversing with one another.l
Silko is a great character because you can understand him, where he’s coming from, but at the end of the day he chose to be a bad guy. No one should have to like him. Hating him is perfectly reasonable. His horrible influence on Jinx till the very end is enough to despise him. He was selfish and an enabler. But you can tell he genuinely cared for her and about freeing the undercity. Unfortunately that doesn’t justify how he went about everything and the people he destroyed in the process.
she's cool as shit, i just never fully forgave her for the Vander betrayal lol we only get a small snippet of him honestly but he was a genuinely good person (or at least was trying to be😂)
im a Silco defender but i would never hate on you guys for not liking him. People have opinions 🤷♀️ I think the adversity in the show is one of the best things, all the characters (except ekko lol) are gray characters in their morals and it just depends on which ones you personally connect with. A lot of people are die hard Cait defenders and even though i like her i dont agree with her at all. I mean that coffin probably cost more a zaunites life savings and they cant even bury their loved ones (i imagine most loved ones in Zaun are in that river like Silco), and then Cait goes and gasses them lol. Also the whole 'i thought you were one of the good ones' vibe with Vi. I'm sure a lot of people wont like this take but thats the beauty of well crafted show with multiple characters to resonate with or not resonate with, all grey characters with things to like and dislike about them
The only thing that confuses me about people taking the side of their favourite characters in shows like this, is that it's a bit like inserting yourself into the story. The show is presented in a way that has the audience as observers to this story, not from the perspective of one of the characters. Everyone's obviously entitled to feel however they want, but I'm pretty sure audiences will enjoy the depth of shows like this more if they aren't trying to grade characters in a fantasy world based on their own moral scales. There's a reason the performances are so good in the show (aside from the talent of those involved). They've been given characters with complex motivations and an environment that provides a lot of context for why the characters became who they are.
@crookedcrain9157 yeah i totally agree. I think eventhough the characters all have good and bad sides like all people have, as a watcher of the show we naturally take sides and route for people in fights, but that doesn't take anything away from it being a complex, no completely right side situation. I know i personally route for Jinx in fights (she tugs on my heart i cant help it 😭) but i still understand she has a major part in the wrongdoings, as i also sympathise with Vi and Cait. If it was a real world situation I'd probably hate everyone in the show (minus Ekko) and thats why i think people whole heartedly defending any character and saying they are completely justified in whatever they do is wrong. Die hard Jinx and Cait defenders especially annoy me, like i get loving a character but they're fs not in the right
i can agree overall and I say pretty much at the beginning and end of every video how well this show does with all of its grey morality etc. But I'm here for a first time watch/react with human emotions and having fun, its not a full analysis/breakdown of a show I've watched or taken in before. I go on to rewatch each episode 2-3 more times after and get a better understanding of the big picture and love all the layers but with my first time watch its just enjoying the content, making instant reactionary comments to things that I'm saying for fun and not out of full seriousness (eg about the girl making her son work in the mine. there a million obvious reasons why that's the kind of life they're forced to live in in Zaun, but i'ma poke fun anyway).
I hate it when people say that Caitlyn wouldn’t have missed, that’s like saying “I’m a good driver I never crash”, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter if you are the master of your craft, there is always room for error, a chef isn’t gonna boast about how they’ve only cut themselves once in their whole career because there is always time for a second cut, just because we’ve seen cait’s exceptional shooting skills, she still could’ve missed, just like a professional NASCAR driver can still get in an accident, Caitlyn could’ve missed and shot a child. Also Isha(the little girl) has no context or idea of who cait or vi are, to that little girl, all she sees are two enforcers trying to kill her ‘friend’(self proclaimed probably)
you're right! people aren't necessarily thinking rationally in a singular moment tho lol at the split moment I think yea we've seen her as a great shot, not including a million other factors, then i get to rewatch the episode 2-3 more times in the editing process and see more of the whole picture. but people don't want a 3rd time watch analysis commentary, they want a first time watching reaction (which for me is always just overreaction, under analyzing, and purely just enjoying myself while blurting shit out lol)
@@BRIDGECO1 And we love u for it ! Don't sweat it. I think u've been giving quite balanced opinions. Especially when it's a serie or franchise cuz the next video u're always "clearing" up when u think u weren't partial enough. Anyway, u still crack me up, keep it up :D
Its far more likely she would have hit than missed (she literally shot a gun out of the kid’s hand), and Vi has no business being so concerned when she so casually dismissed the dead boy at the shimmer refinery.
@ that’s what I meant by she would miss, she would hit something, but not her target, and with how quick isha and jinx were moving, it’s entirely possible that either cait would miss or hit something else entirely that she didn’t mean to hit
@@S0urmf420 they weren’t moving fast at all, they were basically stationary, and Jinx’s entire head was exposed at less than 10m away. Easiest shot in the world.
55:01 Just to highlight something I found very interesting about Jinx in this scene: We know Cassandra had actually already built the ventilation system and that is why the people of the underground could breathe better air but Caitlyn slowly rereleased it from the big tank it was supposed to be left in. She used it the opposite way of how her mother captured it. Then in this scene, Sevika (following Jinx's plan) releases all the air that carries The Grey to the surface so that it cannot be used against Zaun. Piltover has more open air so it didn't affect them a lot though but at least the underground is safe from that now Jinx said it wasn't supposed to be this way because she had wanted to do this as an act of when she dies because she was ready to die in the fight. She had told Sevika to release it after that happens as a final good act (and a goodbye) from her. I truly believe that in episode 2, when Jinx says 'to finish what's left of my family,' she is referring to herself. Let's remember that Jinx always plans to die; let's not forget the scene with Ekko. She herself confirms it: 'Cause no matter what I do, I just can't seem to die.' It seems like she is a jinx to everyone except herself. I guess in the next act we will see how this action of Jinx (who didn't plan to be alive to see it) impacts the population of Zaun and herself
56:40 actually a pretty good representation of vi and her walls, she “takes the gloves off” and she got hurt, so she puts her walls back up so she cant get hurt by the people she cares about
@@Amalia-dz3tk Even then, chemical warfare is (typically) a war crime. Vi and Cit have basically flopped positions since season one, but Vi still had a bit of her old edge until the fight in Ep3. I can see why she was willing to use the Grey selectively, but not willing to let Cait take those final shots with Isha in the way. My issue with the situation is that Vi could have pulled Isha off of Jinx so Cait had a clear shot, but instead, she blocked one shot and redirected the other. No matter what she says, she still doesn't want Jinx dead, not really.
I am not a Silco apologist. I will say that he was a product of Piltover's abuse of the undercity, but he was a monster. It would have been one thing if he had actually taken his power and influence in the undercity to help people out, but no. He made it a criminal underground with no regard for the lives that Shimmer claimed. Vander might not have been perfect, and his complacency when it came to how the undercity was treated is a big part of what allowed Silco to take over, but he was trying to foster a community... not a drug-fueled rave. And yes... he may have had compassion for Jinx, I will give him that... but the fact is that he did nothing to actually help her find peace. He wasn't equipped to help her find peace. After all, he has no experience with peace. He was forged in pain and resentment, and so he didn't see anything wrong with her feeling those things about Vi. He was never going to be able to help her be whole. But yeah... here we go with the Season 2 pain train... this one is going to HURT...
If you remember, in the first season Viktor throws up blood while in the hexgate tower and that blood went down the hole in the tower. There are theories that that blood is what caused the hextech corruption on the floor that Heimerdinger sees, since that hole in the tower leads to that room they entered.
While Silco is one of my favourite characters in this show, I totally agree with your interpretation of the situation around him taking in Jinx, and the reluctance to refer to him as her father. I do think that he genuinely cared for her, but just wasn't good at looking after her/didn't know how. Jinx never refers to him as her father at any point, I think she was just emotionally co-dependant to him since he's one of the only people who showed her affection/patience and care.
@@spinnerbron I get that. I'm just pointing out when you focus on one aspect. How easily something far more serious is overlooked. Especially since it's clear they favor Vi's perspective more often(and no one's fully in the wrong, just that situation one outweighs the other in my view). '....I see now how easily it is to hate them, for one vicious act. ~Caitlin l
I feel like the complexities of the performances from the voice actors are being missed when reactors allow their dislike of a character to blind them to it. There's obviously a lot of discussion about this in the comments already, some of it reasonable and some not. But it is unfortunate when this happens with reactors because (especially in Arcane's case) there are complex themes within the show dealing with class divides and moral hypocrisy, that are simply being overlooked due to some looking for pure heroes/villains. In my opinion, if people allow themselves to just absorb the performances and follow the story, rather than cast judgements, they would be able to enjoy the full depth of it more.
From Sevika's POV she didn't betray Vander, he betrayed the Lanes. Sevika was only loyal to Silco because she believed he was what was best for the lanes until she started to see him slipping with his affection for Jinx. Sevika is loyal to her home
When she hit her in the stomach she hit her where she was stabbed. Season 1 was over the course of a week so she would still be healing. There are also certain things that Cait says where she calls them all animals. Trying to take the shot when a kid is there show how much she is crashing out and whether she would miss or not it is just about keeping your morals. I would crash out too but not become a fascist dictator crash out. Because it has only been a week even though she has been to Zaun and has seen the atrocities there she still doesn't fully understand their struggle because that is not how she grew up and it would take a longer amount of time for her to understand. I know there is the strong possibility that by the end she will realize what she is doing and change for the better but depending on what she does when she is in this higher position of power, will people want to forgive her?
In her mind its ok to hurt the poor but when the rich are getting attacked its evil and need to pay for it. I really hope that at one point Cate will be stuck in that gray cloud without mask to see and feel the pain to grasp for air, something people down there were suffering for years.
@@Zibi21ok, firstly cait spent her entire first season very aware of zaun's situation and being completely against the way everyone was treated there, so much so that ekko and vi were on her side. secondly, her plan was to literally release the gray agent in specific points of zaun only and solely to harm jinx, while jinx herself released the same gas all over the piltolver, the only difference is that her gas came out colored lmao Another thing is that Cait prevented what was left of the council from sending an army to Zaun with the aim of ANNIHILING everyone who got in the way, she set up a task force with five soldiers to go after a single individual. She may have made bad decisions, yes, because for example, even releasing the gas in specific points, she may not know exactly how it works and spreads, it is a risk to take, but if we put it on the scale, jinx is not only a terrorist but also a genocidal.

Cait is def blinded by revenge, sort of reminds me of TLOU2, she is rightfully angry and grieving but she is using her grief* to get revenge that will only result to an unstoppable cycle of violence. like, if she killed Jinx there, Isha will probably be the one seeking revenge next. she needed Vi to stop her there
I was just talking to my friend about Caitlyn coming down with Ellie Syndrome. I'm hoping that Vi will get her grief out in the ring, then come back and be the one to pull Cait back from the edge, but I don't have high hopes of Cait making it out of this show alive.
@@mayonnaiseandbaloney6642 i mean you’re not wrong. but it’s all a reminder that in war, there aren’t good guys usually. the reasons that drove jinx to her actions aren’t just her mental state, but the course of her life. as much as she may have been manipulated by Silco, she also suffered under an oppressive system that killed her parents and perpetuated all of the hardships that helped shape her. It’s not justification, but there’s a reason for most cruel acts of war. i was only pointing out that it perpetuates the idea that good guys here, bad guys there. Silco probably wouldn’t have become who he was in a different environment. he may have been a decorated enforcer under other circumstances. it’s all just perspective and if you can step back, you can see that often one action causes another with reverberating outcomes.
My theory about both Mel and Jayce surviving is that Mel has some sorta of special armor (the gold stuff she wears on her arms and legs), you see it glow in season one right before the bomb hits and then again at the right start of season 2 before the smoke clears and you can see jayce's face properly. So I think the armor protected both of them and Mel is hiding it, because even Jayce is confused to how he survived without a scratch.
It goes deeper, in Ambessa’s Blood Sweat and Tears music video the baby she’s pregnant with (who got shot with an arrow leading to the appearance of the death wolf spirit) glows with gold colors and has gold eyes 🧐
the chembarons run the factories and mines - the beginning of ep2 shows their gangs snatching people from the lanes to work in them. that's Zaun for you. should be noted that if Powder hadn't been taken in by Silco, that's what would've happened to her. the kid (Isha) is a feral street kid. if Sevika and Jinx keep her safe, she's gonna stick around.
Its ok, we have all types in the fandom. Silco Defenders, Powder apologizers, Jinx Supporters, Vi Fans, Caitlyn Shippers, etc. Arcane was one of the shows I used to select new reactions just cuz the moral ambiguity lends itself so much to discussion and understanding the reactors' points of views or thinking/talking style.
Those aren´t scars, those were the places that were infected with Shimmer before and since the Hexcore was infused with Shimmer before, when Viktor used it to fix his Legs, it reacts to Shimmer. So it is absorbed the Shimmer and replaced it with his Hextech / Arcane energy
And loving all the little moments at the end with the doctor and his next monster. It’s like taking two minutes every episode to check in with the devil. What are you up bud? Still horrible, inhumane stuff? Excellent! Keep at it! We will check in on your progress later.😂
To anyone curious and don't mind spoilers. 2 years ago a youtuber named Nickyboi did a funny but accurate one sentence description of each LoL characrer. It's funny to hear his lore description for the arcane characters. Based on the series so far his description is so funnily accurate. It does contain spoilers tho just a warning.
Insane that in 12 days you guys have done everything we've watched in 3+ years. This must be such an experience for you. My emotions are a wreck just from these 2 acts.
honestly the colorful smoke was not toxic at all, Jinx was planning to die, even the place was just some kind of "memorial" she came up with, the drawing of Vander carrying them, then she in front of dead Vander when everything was on fire, and other drawings are just some memories of her. That's why she was going to say "it is not what it was supposed to be" because - I gues you already understood at this point in the story - but Jinx is a performer, she likes the attention, so for her final day she wanted to make like fireworks (or smokeworks?) exhibition after she died, and Piltover could "celebrate".
Nothing could've prepared me for what happened this season. Like wym Viktor becomes hextech jesus, Vi becomes an enforcer and uses chemical warfare on the people of zaun and Caitlyn becomes a commander of piltover that is now under Martial law?!?!
Basically the current plots have Jinx/Sevika out doing Jinx things, Black Rose targetting Ambessa, Ambessa lowkey staging a coup, Singed being very Warwick, and whatever Jayce, Heim and Ekko are doing with Runes - they have 6 episodes to solve like... 5-6 major things lol

1:02:36 okay fair, I don’t disagree that he was a bad influence and projected his own demons onto Jinx, but I’m glad you acknowledge that he at least loved her, that much was visible
I was talking to my friend last night about how Caitlyn is just starting down her Ellie path. My girl Cait only has eyes for vengeance and shit is going to get DARK before there's a chance of pulling her back.
Looooooove both of you reacting to this!! I truly think this is the best to show thoughts into a video game, everyone can get into any lore and make it theirs! I do think the sorcerer that saved Jayce and his mom in episode 2 of season 1 was Victor. Can’t wait for more!!!
First of all, Renni didn't "make" her son work in a mine. She got him a job at the shimmer factory, that SHE ran. It's the Undercity, their legit businesses and industries dried up decades ago. Silco USED TO BE a legit industrialist himself at one point. But now all that's left, besides a few Chem-related industries are the illicit ones. And people gotta work and eat, man. And why would she think that her son would get merc'd at her own factory? Especially when her boss is the most feared and powerful dude down in the Undercity. It's arguable that Renni, (being down with Silco) having placed her son in that factory to work was the safest place for him to be, all things considered. But I've noticed you don't consider all things. For example, tons of kids were working there. Probably to feed themselves and their families too. Silco seemed fair enough on that point as HIS ultimate aims were to liberate the entire place. Or have you forgotten that Vi and her siblings were LITERALLY thieving in Piltover when this show started? Now, what Renni and Chross' goons were doing, stealing kids off the street and putting them in the ACTUAL mines, was something else altogether. But Silco didn't run a mining operation and wasn't kidnapping kids to use as labor, although he did enable it. Also, those enhanced shimmer soldiers in his employ were not "kids". If you've been paying any attention to Ekko, what's his goal? To destroy the corruption in the Undercity and provide a safe haven for the disaffected kids that live there. Why would Ekko lead a detachment of spear wielding anythings into the heart of Piltover when tensions are this high? He would be exposing himself by doing that and what purpose would it have served ultimately? Also, Ekko or anybody he rolls with doesn't have the capacity to fight shimmed up super soldiers. They could barely hold their own against Jinx and Sevika and them for all those years. But what Caitlyn did by releasing the grey into the "breathable" atmosphere during her raiding mission to find Jinx amounts to nothing short of a war crime. She took her mom's legacy and turned it into a weapon to "clear the streets" and to mask their movements down there. Shit's kind of diabolical considering the side affects those diagrams showed on her mom's microfiche files. And Ambessa said that her son, Kino, "crossed the wrong man" and that she "was distracted" and couldn't save him from that fate. She also said she needed Hex-Tech to level the playing field against that particular individual. She didn't set her son up. And Sevika is one of the dopest characters on this whole show, so stay your tongue on that noise, homeboy. And Silco did the best he could with Jinx. he gave her space to create, didn't box her in and suffered all manners of grief by just having her around. "Kidnapped"? No. Marcus snatched Vi up, never told Silco that she was rotting in Stillwater Prison AND Powder had NOWHERE TO GO. She was effectively orphaned in that moment. The same as all those little random kids you see Ekko taking care of and Chross' men out here rounding up in the street. Kids like Isha, for example. If Silco is guilty of anything regarding Jinx, it was that he didn't put any parameters on her. He let her be a wild child, which both hurt her and helped her ironically. But kidnapping and manipulation? Absolutely not.
I can't believe I read all that and I agree with it. I've seen so many takes that makes me want to smash my head against the wall lol this is refreshing, thank you
Just because a child “chooses” to do child labour, doesn’t make it right. Especially in a factory manufacturing DRUGS. Also, if Renni is a chem-baroness, she isn’t exactly strapped for cash. Let’s not forget that Silco said her son “died for the cause”. It wasn’t as simple as working to put food on the table, he was being put to work “for the cause”. It’s also stated in her wiki that Renni ran a business that abducted children to experiment on them. Let’s not pretend she cares about the children or morality ! You’re taking this WAY too serious. These are just two people giving their first reactions to the show, a show that they only recently started watching, too. They didn’t have 3 years to decipher certain parts of the show like some of us did. Chill out.
@@Booeyy 1. I never said Renni's son HAD to work there or that HE was putting food on the table for anyone. I never said that Renni cared about any kids EXCEPT her own. 3. I explicitly wrote that she and Chross WERE kidnapping kids off the streets. 4. Since this comment wasn't for you AND according to you, you didn't read it all, then mind your bees wax and don't worry about who had 3 years to do what or not. You gotta question the validity of someone who blames someone else for taking something too seriously and then goes out of their way to chime in on something meant specifically for someone else.

Ambessa is so focused on gaining power and keeping Mel at bay to keep her safe that she didn't see the threat was already there. Didn't even notice her own daughter was kidnapped.

The Sevika disrespect is unreal 54:59
Sevika catching strays 😭
Sevika has respect to be earned (and she does eventually) but she has wronged people, regardless of how shes stayed dedicated to Zaun.
the thing is Caitlin did miss as when she shot of jinx's finger she was trying to kill her and shes emotionally unstable and the hextech weapons were malfunctioning so Vi was absolutely right to stop her from shooting since there was a decent chance she hit the innocent kid. Caitlin also used poisonous gas that her mother didn't want in the undercity as she wanted them to be able to breath showing how shes really going down a dark path.
there's also the fact that beyond that miss (which some would probably try to argue as a hit) Caitlin had 2 points during these 3 episodes where she incorrectly opened fire on inanimate objects seemingly because she thought they were Jinx. it's probably only a matter of time before she mistakes an actual person for Jinx and ends up shooting someone.
as for Vi's exact motivation there, I've seen some people point out that Vi might be trying to avoid giving someone else a similar backstory to her own. even if Caitlin did manage to hit Jinx this innocent kid would just be seeing an enforcer killing someone they care about for reasons that the kid might not understand (in a similar manner to how Vi's parents were killed by enforcers) and in the long run the cycle of violence would likely continue.
i mean even if she wasnt going to miss killing jinx in front of a child is fuck up
@@anais6654 You mean like Jinx killing 7 people in front of Isha leading up to that moment.
Apparently because progress is selective...
But not the GLORIOUS EVOLUTION

Jayce promised Viktor that he would never make a hextech weapon again (a very subtle detail they showed us from Viktor's point of view)
Going back to Episode 1, in the last scene where Jayce places the hextech crystal in Caitlyn's new weapon, we see a disturbed look on Viktor's face. It's as if he felt it.

Hating him is perfectly reasonable. His horrible influence on Jinx till the very end is enough to despise him. He was selfish and an enabler. im a Silco defender but i would never hate on you guys for not liking him.
It seems like that comment went right over your head. And then you doubled down to justify yourself instead of trying to understand what was said.

55:01 Just to highlight something I found very interesting about Jinx in this scene:
We know Cassandra had actually already built the ventilation system and that is why the people of the underground could breathe better air but Caitlyn slowly rereleased it from the big tank it was supposed to be left in. She used it the opposite way of how her mother captured it. Then in this scene, Sevika (following Jinx's plan) releases all the air that carries The Grey to the surface so that it cannot be used against Zaun. Piltover has more open air so it didn't affect them a lot though but at least the underground is safe from that now
Jinx said it wasn't supposed to be this way because she had wanted to do this as an act of when she dies because she was ready to die in the fight.
Many people thought mel would've been killed the past 3 years so seeing her and jayce first thing was a sigh of relief.

Yup, exactly
Will say. Episode 2 pf season 2 begs to differ in how he helped jinx
If you remember, in the first season Viktor throws up blood while in the hexgate tower and that blood went down the hole in the tower. There are theories that that blood is what caused the hextech corruption on the floor that Heimerdinger sees, since that hole in the tower leads to that room they entered.
Whow this is amazing!
While Silco is one of my favourite characters in this show, I totally agree with your interpretation of the situation around him taking in Jinx, and the reluctance to refer to him as her father. I do think that he genuinely cared for her, but just wasn't good at looking after her/didn't know how.

When she hit her in the stomach she hit her where she was stabbed. Season 1 was over the course of a week so she would still be healing. *Terrorism is the use of violence or the threat of violence to achieve a political goal, often by intimidating a population or influencing a government"
What political goal is Jinx after? Political goals are literally the entire point of terrorism. Unless politics is involved, it's not terrorism. It's just violence. Words have meanings for a reason. You should really try understanding them before using them
@@THG-3141 that's why i said "she MAY not know", you should read things better
All I'm saying is, Vi could have grabbed the kid off Jinx instead of walking over to Cait to stop her.
Hahaha fair 😂
Thank you! I just kept yelling 'Pull her off! Pull her off!'. No matter what Vi says, she doesn't want Jinx to die, not really.
@@erinhaury5773yeah I genuinely don’t think Vi could kill her own sister, it’s not in her character
THIS IS WHAT YOU ASKED FOOOOOR HEAVY IS THE CROWNNNNN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
“always some terrorism” as jinx uses the same exact terrorism that Cait and Vi were using…because of a false flag operation…
Yeah but since its the "good guys" its fine 😒
@@jubelanger4586Its in retaliation to Jinx. Sure still bad but, damn
@ im not reading all that but from what you first typed, i totally agree. Actually made a comment abt that exact thign
it literally is always some terrorism... on both sides lol
I spent 3 years of my life SWEARING mel was dead
the chembarons run the factories and mines - the beginning of ep2 shows their gangs snatching people from the lanes to work in them. that's Zaun for you.
should be noted that if Powder hadn't been taken in by Silco, that's what would've happened to her.
the kid (Isha) is a feral street kid. if Sevika and Jinx keep her safe, she's gonna stick around.
Caitlyn is a fucking war criminal now and I love her more than ever. I won't defend her actions, but damn does she make for a compelling character!
"black rose space witches" is hysterical lmfao
Its like a therapy session watching you i love you both so muchhh
No, the gas was toxic, She gave them back the gas they were using in the city.
There are other characters from other regions. For example, they can tell the story of the Noxus-Ionia war. Noxus is where Mel and her mom are from.
Nothing could've prepared me for what happened this season. Like wym Viktor becomes hextech jesus, Vi becomes an enforcer and uses chemical warfare on the people of zaun and Caitlyn becomes a commander of piltover that is now under Martial law?!?!
Let's hear it for our new dictator, Comrade Caitlyn! 🤣
Shit really did go sideways in a spectacular fashion this season.
This past week has felt longer than the last 3 years and I know it's going to feel worse next week waiting for the finale.
I think Isha is for jinx what jinx was for Silco
No hate Cody, that’s why this show is great. It blurs the line of morality and makes it so some decisions are based on the emotion and not logic.
I love the term "sharkzooka". :D And "black rose space witches" is pretty good too.
The Ambessa setup was like one of the most obvious thing they did lol
I think the colorful smoke was like supposed to be a celebration of Jinx' death she wanted to die to end it all
THE ARM IS AMAZING BECAUSE IT PLAYS INTO SEVIKA AND HER ADDICTION TO GAMBLING
24:15 the way your vape is purple too LMAOOO
She named the sharksuka after what Vi called her as a kid pow pow ❤
52:33 Sadly...I think that was what she was trying to do.
"I can't get over Viktor Jesus" "Vik-What?" "Viktor Jesus"
I'm laughing sooo hard lol. Amazing reaction I'm excited for the next ones!!
S2 E2: I agreed with you, he is 100% a Jesus parallel, but I started calling him Shimmer Jesus!
It's criminal we had to wait for 3 years and you just got to experience it all in like a week lmao
1:00:28 The Hound of the Underground
Basically the current plots have Jinx/Sevika out doing Jinx things, Black Rose targetting Ambessa, Ambessa lowkey staging a coup, Singed being very Warwick, and whatever Jayce, Heim and Ekko are doing with Runes - they have 6 episodes to solve like... 5-6 major things lol
codys comments make me laugh lol i love both of your reactions to all of arcane and how attentive you guys are with being able to catch onto the plot within the details in each episode great videos guys
You guys are lucky we waited 3 years for this 🥲
They knew they had to show me Mel and Jayce first or else i'd end up on the news
Thanks Bridget! Now I can’t stop thinking about Heimerdinger humming his own bgm while “stealth” running through the vents😂
Awesome reaction btw 👍
of all the reactions i’ve seen to this show on youtube this is definitely a unique one 🙂↕️
That look on Jayce during and after making the weapons says it all. He dosent wanna make them but he also dosent se any other choice. U can se hes hesitation with the hammer in the forging scene not wanting to do it.
43:41 ohh u have no ide how right u are.
Its so funny to se ppl reacting to the Singed scenes as they are trying to get there head around and figuer out what he is actually doing. or Doctor as he was called in S1.
Arcane... putting a seasons' worth of story in one arc of three episodes. Awesome. Already seen it two times now, plus your reaction. (That should be enough to carry me over to the next arc.)
1:02:36 okay fair, I don’t disagree that he was a bad influence and projected his own demons onto Jinx, but I’m glad you acknowledge that he at least loved her, that much was visible
Yes vi is giving ellie and jinx giving Abby with the child next to her omg 😂
I was talking to my friend last night about how Caitlyn is just starting down her Ellie path. My girl Cait only has eyes for vengeance and shit is going to get DARK before there's a chance of pulling her back.
Looooooove both of you reacting to this!!
I truly think this is the best to show thoughts into a video game, everyone can get into any lore and make it theirs!
I do think the sorcerer that saved Jayce and his mom in episode 2 of season 1 was Victor.
Can’t wait for more!!!
THIS was the reaction I was waiting for
I expected episode 3 to be crazy, like in season one. But DAMN! This was wild, insane and mind blowing! I'm so here for it!
BTW, in noxus, ffrom where the medarta are there is a secret society that appoints the ruler off the country. that secret society is the black rose
the CHILLS i got with the leblanc tease oh CHILLS
The most important thing is we enjoy the show.. wether we have lore knowledge or not..
Chill out.
@@Booeyy
1. I never said Renni's son HAD to work there or that HE was putting food on the table for anyone. I said it was HER factory and that it was the safest place for her son to be, given that his mother owned it and that she worked for Silco.
Bonkers.
Ambessa showing by example what she meant when she told Mel about knowing when to be the wolf and the fox. She's as much a fierce warrior and tactician as well as a brilliant manipulator, easing through the political tangle to get what she wants. A true noxian.
Man victors scene always give me chills and gusbumbs
If yall watched their House of the dragon reaction, you would know that they like to see things only in black and white. They are just doing the same for arcane
This is the last way to treat a show like Arcane.
No character in this show is black and white.
It's funny that they support team black when it literally has a damn pedophile and rapist in it. But they draw the line at aegon....
I literally thought the same, I like them but they rlly can’t or don’t want to see grey characters for what they are it makes me so sad
Oh Aegon defenders are here!
@@Aaniel_al.Meara. you are the only one that mentioned Aegon
I'm been waiting for this reaction!!!
Love how we all just collectively agreed Viktor has become Jesus😭 ALSO HIMEDINGER (spelt that so wrong but oh welll) IS SO SILLY😭 I SWEAR IF THE KID DIES IM DONE
Loved you watching Smeech with the purple vape while realizing you're holding a purple vape
omg my last comment but the janna lore and the shuriman chant in the song MORE CHILLS
14:30 absolutely sick shot by Cait
sevika is definitely in her redemption arc
Maybe a single Silco video essay would sway you but I respect your opinion
nah nothing is gonna change this guys mind if he's annoyed at people trying to explain silco
