If you get the GameCube disc in there, follow these steps to get it out:
Materials Needed: Philips Screwdriver
1. Flip the PS3 over.
2. Try to take off the big rectangle-shaped cover, fully.
3. There is a blue screw and a hole under this cover. Insert the screwdriver into the hole and not the blue screw because that screw is to hold the hard drive in place.
4. Turn it counter-clockwise until the disc spins out of the PS3.
5. Put the cover back on and you are done!

Pc games are playable on ps3. Sort of.
You will see a thing called data disc, if you open it, you'll see some files from the game. however you won't be able to open the file for the game as it doesn't show up on the ps3. This also works for other media files

It registers the Xbox 360 because the disks are dvd rather than a blu-ray but it won't load because its a game not a video.

I tried Super Mario Sunshine Nintendo GameCube and it got stuck :( I just did the same thing with your Xbox One X vid. Stuck a knife so it triggers the sensor then spammed eject and pulled it out. Pulled a fast on on ‘em

Only early models of the original PS3 can play PS2 games. Later models took out that compatibility.

Robert Kidd Carl Cornell pick your poison. 1) slims tend to have the optical disc drive go out
2) super slims tend to not read discs.
Otherwise take care of your consoles and they will treat you right for a good bit. I have every model of the ps3.
And yes any ps3 running on the latest firmware of 4.82 can access the psn store.
brianv3ntura Thanks. My super slim (that I’ve had since I got it for Christmas back in 2014) has stopped reading discs and cuts to a white screen every time I turn it on.

I heard that the fat ps3's with the backwards compatibility are extremely faulty and gets ylod easily , is this true ?
daz it mane yes fats in general are more prone to ylods. High power usage and the power supply gets how and is super close to the processor and gpu.
Unless youre tech savvy with console tear downs, i recommend to avoid the fats.
