I gets there easy and quick when you get used to it. I would never choose a DAW other a little box like that. And most of all, I don't really have to look at the screen because there's none. Feels more real like an actual instrument to me, while using DAW feels more like work.
Yeah it's always confusing when a device like this is demoed with cables going in/out and no explanation.... for all we know this is connected to a $3000 Moog....
Thanks. I've watched a few videos on the Circuit Tracks, and I just wasn't able to wrap my head around it. This one finally explained things in a clear way.
The thing no one knows they are waiting for is the pro version of these devices, with in-depth sampler, re-sampling through an analog section, advanced modular sequencing and editing.. you know the score .. Best regards from OpusDesign
Short answer: Yes. Any drum pads of 4 drum channels are basically drum samples, & can be switched out for youe own vocal samples, whatnot. Total sample time is 3+ mins w SD Card. ( Solid tip: place vocal samples where there are percussion or hihat pads you'd not regularly decide to use )
@@djofortunato5799 Yes, you can do that, just connecting the device to your computer and setting it up. There are also a lot of great patches that you can buy and they totally change how the device feels.
You can't record audio loops on this, only midi. There are two midi tracks that can play external instruments. You could probably connect a guitar (via a pre-amp) to use the onboard FX, but only for playing live. Looping would have been a cool option for sure...
You can't directly record a guitar int Circuit Tracks. First of all it doesn't have a preamp, so the volume would be very low. Second of all it's capable in playing those sounds from the guitar, but not recording them into a loop. It can only get input from midi devices, which guitar is not. For this you would need an additional device like RC-505 mkii for example or another loop station that could cooperate with Circut Tracks.
I really wish someone would be kind enough to do a tutorial on how to hardwire your Circuit Tracks to your laptop / PC via USB to play the music / tracks on there? Also show how to hardwire the CT to a PreSonus Studio 24c, again to play the music through the laptop / PC.
Two 1/4" TRS Cables from the CT "Out" to your PreSonus studio to the two Line Inputs in front of it. If your PreSonus is plugged into your laptop that should get you sound. You may need to download a driver. Not very familiar with that interface. The CT also has USB connectivity, if you have software like Studio One you should also be able to see and use it in there with midi.
This groovebox is fantastic! I do not know if I will ever be able to use it to the full extent of its capabilities! BTW, what is the max SD card capacity useable? Does it need a special format?
I guess one input L=(mono) but use the R and L together and you get one stereo input.. If u want to utilize two midi devices simultaneously, you might need to route there 4 stereo jacks through a mixer and then use that mixer output into the inputs on the Novation - I think that might be the way to do it!? I am not sure if it will work, I am currently also looking for info about this Circuit Tracks.. I am wondering if it would be possible to load custom vocal chops/samples into this Novation!?
That was the whole idea. No display, no distraction, more creativity.

the novation part on 'mixer and effects' is 64steps long??? how is that possible? i love how novation designed the new circuits, but 32 steps is kinda short for me u.u awesome video, thanks for the great piece of content :)
You do have sequences where you can link toguether and expand the steps to 32 x 8 the way you want. Play different sequences on the same track or link then to play as a long sequence.
Come on Novation only 2 instruments tracks? Is there anybody composing songs there? What's the point of a standalone grovebox that has a fraction of the instrument you need for a song?
The one I tried was monophonic. Only one sound at a time. If your music is nothing more interesting than Devo or Disney Electric Light Parade then you're in luck with this. Listening to the speaker and ear busting sounds coming out of this reminded me of the movie Revenge of the Nerds when they come out with Devo hats and capes. Great organ sound. It's that your grandma playing with a modulator on the output?
You have no idea. First of all there are polyphonic sound too, so I guess you haven't discovered it yet. But the main thing is limitations only enhance creativity. How much can I do with how little i have? That's the best creative process. Having everything you want we'll just leave you in a place of not being able to decide what to do with all of it.
This looks amazing, but so many cryptic button presses to learn! It's like a memory test and a workstation all in one :D
this is stop on. same with push 2
Doesn't take long though. I had mine pretty much figured out in a few hours 😊

For us noobs I always wish they would show just what is plugged in.
Hi! Frontera left to right he has:
Stereo out
Stereo in
MIDI cable
Usb cable

I like anything that helps me create something other than what I did before

Great video! Thanks..
Great vid helped loads - Thanks
Is it possible to retune the synthesizers of this machine to a = 432 Hz?
How do i get out of project mode to live play???????
Great video! thank you so much! - Which Synth do you use at 2:48 ?
Synth 2 I’m pretty sure
can you use this without a computer
and can you save songs on this and if so how many and can i record onto it from my synths
thank you
..and then sequencing external gear?
Excellent video...I can connect a synth by MIDI and some guitar on the input and make loops with both?
You can't record audio loops on this, only midi.

What's an affordable version of this unit but with the ability to import any samples easily? :)

The Rhythm Tracks is a awesome gear! I really love it! 🤖😍

Use an audio interface to route the CT mono Left or Two outs into your interface. Then direct this audio into the daw
can the tracks import files from an original novation circuit? if so seems like an awesome bit of kit
Yes. With some minor effort.
It’s a controller? Ou does it have onboard effects ? Can I use without the laptop?
It can be, it does, and that is the primary objective.
Can i set the buttons light soft???
Yes, you can dim the lights. It's in the manual of the device.
This groovebox is fantastic! I do not know if I will ever be able to use it to the full extent of its capabilities! BTW, what is the max SD card capacity useable? Does it need a special format?
I use a SanDisk Ultra Micro SDHC 32Gb which works perfect as for format it's FAT32 .
Ordered one
well, how is it?
Since this has 2 tracks for sequencing external gear, there should be 2 stereo ins with effects, but it has 2 mono ins.
Then it would be 100 euros more, and in a different price point. Clearly people love it.

Buy a Moog Grandmother and you only need a mono input on the Tracks. 😂
@@SkywalkFPV I think every stereo-out synth can sum its output to mono.
Youre not making any sense, tou dont sequence external synths with audio, but with midi.
What unit is closest to this but with display?
Roland MC-101

Idol can I Request for Reviewing IBANEZ GRG170DXB Sunburst?😊❤️❤️🥰
Watching from Phillipines 🇵🇭🥰❤️🤘🤟
Hi. Thanks for the video. Do you think it will automaticly follow the rythm from a Boss Rc30 like it does with the rc505 loop station?
You can sync it but you can control/sequence pretty much anything through this. Easily one of the best little boxes around.
The two bottom right square arnt lighting up can u help
Sold 🙂
Cool ✅🤓
I’d happily pay more just to have a LCD 🙈 got a SH4D instead 😃

The Korg emx 1 is rly good if you're looking for more synth parts.
👍👍
The most denormalized audio I've seen in RUclips (ok, kidding, PewDiePie had the most one, but this one is the second)
What do you mean with "denormalized"? That it's not intuitive to use?
hallo nederland
🙋👍♥️

Stop talking shit about Devo, bro.
Be cool.
the synth parts are 6 voice poly

my ears are bleeding haha.
bad....gear
Maybe do a better demo if you want to sell these. This was really bad.
Kind of like how shonky it is, at least for a beginner this is the sort of thing you'd be doing
