Excellent presentation, thanks you. Had my Tracks a week now, and this is the easiest to follow video I've come across. Will look at downloading your Waves pack. Thanks and keep it up.
Just got your Circuit Tracks Waves pack. Already making me incredibly happy. When I got the circuit I was hoping I’d find something just like this. Thank you so much for making it. Love your tutorials as well. Subscribed. Thank you so much.
Thanks for the kind works Kevin, really happy to hear you’re enjoying the content, it means a lot! Let me know if there’s any content you’d like to see in the future ☺️
I've been using this machine mostly to run backing tracks for songs that I play guitar and sing over, and I can't wait to use the probability + random function to create wild washes for noisier moments!
This is great. Moves quick, but what a tutorial. I've had Waves for like 18 months and I feel like I'm just now making use of it, and the CT whose limitations seem a little less confining. Maybe I'll hang onto it after all
Thanks for the video. I am just starting Electro with so much new information to take in. My setuo is Circuit Tracks, Bass station II, Minilogue XD, Crave, Dr-880, Roland XV 3080 and a Toraiz Squid. Hope I get it all running! Have a nice day.
Nice! I dig EDM, Synthwave, etc., but I really love chill ambient and can't wait to make some when my Circuit Tracks arrives. Subscribed and definitely gonna get some of your packs. Thanks for vids/music, really inspiring stuff.
Thanks for the video, between this and long uncut notes I've got most of what I needed to know from you. One more question, how to load samples or my own plugins, and anything else that I can add of my own.
Thankyou! I'm not in the studio currently but if I remember correctly, it mostly depends on the envelope of your preset - if you have a sound with a super long release time, it might be possible to have a gate lower than 16 steps with tie forward enabled. From the manual: 'To make the tied note work you need to set the gate length so that the note ends just before the next note is played or overlaps with it.' (Novation also use the 16 step gate length in the manual)
New to the Novation Circuit. Do you think much of this could be recreated on it, or are there some commands on the Tracks that cannot be done on the Circuit?
Great stuff. I’m seriously considering purchasing one of these, as I am looking for a standalone solution as backing for my guitar. Everyone tells me that chord changes can be done by creating separate patterns/tracks, and play back as one continuous “song”. However, I am not seeing anyone do this. All videos are of one (please excuse me) monotonous chord. Perhaps the Tracks is for only one type of music, and will not cater for my needs?
You can definitely use it for more than one chord, this is just demonstrating how to have one continuous chord that doesn’t retrigger. This guide is mostly useful for ambient stuff but you could have up to 16 chords per pattern if you added a chord per step. 👍
@@SoundGhost Thank you very much! This information is so valuable in helping me decide. I am probably a bit hasty, this is a new product, and videos demonstrating my needs are sure to be posted sooner or later. I have just purchased one online. Cheers
You can definitely do what you're wanting to do with the Tracks.... Each pattern has up to 32 steps, in which you can place your chords from the synths, and then set up the overall structure how you see fit; i.e. first chord lasts for 4 bars, changes to next chord for 4 bars, then repeats the whole thing so far again.... Check out Gabe Miller's tutorials for Circuit, he does what you're talking about, just without the guitar or other instruments - but he'll show you how to set up the song structure 👍👍
Hey there, you know the midi polyphony of the tracks? Thought it was 6 but I've got some note stealing real quick, when I play chords from the Wavestate...maybe a bug or something. With your technique this setup would be the Ambient overkill
Words can't express how tremendous this is for someone new. Thank you so very much!
Thank you for the tips.
The first YT channel where a total noob like me learnt something
Great video. Had my Circuit for a few weeks and put a few short vids together. Looking forward to hearing more of your music.

Great suggestions, thanks for sharing. If you've more suggestions on making atmospheric music w/the Circuit Tracks I'd love to see it.

Thanks! Sounds like a great setup! 🔥
great video, helpful info, now considering getting one since it can also process incoming audio from another synth
Thanks! It’s a great device, can’t recommend it enough 👍
Wow I’ll try this tomorrow

Superb tutorial. Thank you!
Great video and excellent pack. I'm having a lot of fun with it on the Circuit Tracks. I could listen to these soundscapes for hours.
Thanks Jason! Great to hear you’re enjoying the content 🙏
Just stumbled on your videos. Great work! (I also just bought the pack)
Thanks for the kind words Aaron and the support, means a lot! Let me know if there’s any tutorials/sounds you’d like to see in the future 🙂
@@SoundGhost Will do! Just now getting into music production. Tutorials like this one are short and sweet. So more like this ahaha.
@@Aaronsaurus roger that! :)
What scale and chord did you apply?

Inspiring, thank you.
What happens if the gate length is less than 16 steps and you enable tie-forward?

Very informative
thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sounds EXACTLY like Board of Canada "reach for the dead" when you loop the one note.
Haha nice find! Wasn’t intended (not even heard this song before) but I love it when stuff like this happens 😅
Awesome ... Subscribing :-)
Easy subscription.
Thanks for the support!
