Hey if I have freesync enabled, do you know if I should I disable Variable Refresh Rate in the windows settings, just not sure if messes with freesync.
Overdrive eliminates the "motion blur" effect caused at higher refresh rates. The higher the overdrive, the smoother the picture at the cost of what is called ghosting. Ghosting is when for a brief second you can see part of the previous pixels that made up the image. So if say a character moved their hand, you might see what appears to be a ghost hand of the original spot trailing the new spot in the new frame. Its personal preference, but I usually set mine at a medium.

What is the better option between "Free Sync Enabled and Capped at 140 without Enhanced Sync" or "Free Sync Disabled and Capped 10% below drops while still able to produce double FPS to refresh rate with Enhanced Sync". Both options work most of the time while the Free Sync Enabled option has lots of Display Frame Drops to numbers like 127fps and the Enhanced Sync feels like it has micro stutter while the frames run 'stable' at 288+ fps.
I personally would never use enhanced sync over freesync
@@AncientGameplays After a lot of trail and error I can say that I do agree that freesync runs A LOT better when the frames are limited the right way. I've had tearing with the in-engine limiter set to 140 or 143 turns out that the engine had a config value "FullScreenRefresh = "144"" that had was slightly higher than the 143.981 Hz that my display can show and that was why I've had to use enhanched sync. Now the config is set to the right values and the enhanced sync is disabled I can notice faster mouse inputs and the clear vision without tearing is absolutely amazing! Thanks for the comprehensive information in your video's about AMD!
Should I enable variable refresh rate on windows settings?

Is it possible for my monitor to have both AMD freesync and gsync? If it is possible what should I do? Should I activate both at the same time?
Is v-sync different from freesync and do they work together or conflict with one another?
Watch the video my man...
@@AncientGameplays sorry, just did. I was wondering because I have stuttering and the chill doesn't work properly on star wars fallen order. Trying to get rid most of the stutter and lag.
@@ReXora25 V sync and Freesync can work together. You need to activate V Sync and Freesync, put -2 FPS below your max refresh rate. This ensures Freesync works all the time, and when you get below your minimum freesync range, you dont get tearing since thats when V sync will start doing its job.
Now this is great explaination.. clear and simple to understand..

Yeah, it wont work since it is out of range. Will work up to 75hz, bit we do lock it at 72fps to maintain smoothness
@@AncientGameplays yes I noticed when my fps drops I feel stuttering but idk what is better to lock fps for freesync or leave it uncapped for a better input lag, response etc... In multiplayer games

Is freesync or 1ms good for ps5 monitor?
Hey if I have freesync enabled, do you know if I should I disable Variable Refresh Rate in the windows settings, just not sure if messes with freesync.
No, just leave it enabled :D
I have a sceptre monitor it has a overdrive option above freesync, should overdrive be on or off ?
Overdrive eliminates the "motion blur" effect caused at higher refresh rates. The higher the overdrive, the smoother the picture at the cost of what is called ghosting. Ghosting is when for a brief second you can see part of the previous pixels that made up the image. So if say a character moved their hand, you might see what appears to be a ghost hand of the original spot trailing the new spot in the new frame. Its personal preference, but I usually set mine at a medium.
@@austin_colt bro thanks ! 🙏 I’m definitely turning it on
Just to add to watch the minimum FPS count in order to stay on the freesync range. My monitor has 48 as limit so if you drop below it it will stop working. Freesync adds a bit input lag, but is worth it. Watch the video

Enchanced sync, is an "improved" V-Sync let's say and can be used above screen's refresh rate, but although it will avoid tearing, it won't be near as smooth as freesync (in its range)
