I'm blown away by the potential of the Vision Pro, but the price tag is just too high right now. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this tech as it develops
It'll always be a rough sell until they can drop the price 😔
The price will always be high. This is apple. Let's be VERY honest here.
Also this is very dystopian. Will be full of ads everywhere you go in the future. Just like in cyberpunk 2077 or if at home it's gonna Wall-E.
Think more budget friendly versions will come out as time comes. It is a 'Pro" version of an Apple product afterall
Idk, even at half the price it'd still be a tough sell. Esp. with that external brick that looks like it should hold 20Ah but only provides 15.8% of that.
probably after 2 to 3 years the will release the apple vision base version because the apple vision pro is called pro like the iPhone 15 pro or pro max
they will release a base version obviously and a pro max version with M4 chip I think in the future because its the first apple vision
there will be it's like the apple watch when they release the series
they released the se version and the ultra also
so it's just a matter of time to get the base version and probably with M4 chip
Going in public isn’t what I’ve seen others do yet I love it 😂
"This is why we need bullying." 😂
Go outside
Just wait for the 3rd version of this then they'll finally get all the kinks worked out
Apple is ironically the only tech company I actively don't buy first generation for.
iPhone, iPad, macs, etc. It's always a big leap forward that is overpriced and quickly beat in every possible way by the third iteration.
Sometimes even the 2nd.
Consoles like the ones that Sony release, for example, don't have quite those same problems. Future iterations basically tighten the failure rate, and give cosmetic advantages I don't care about.
Wait is gonna be hard…lol
I definitely support most people waiting. But at the same time once developers truly get their hands on this thing, the usefulness will present itself in leaps and bounds.
i feel like it's gonna take at least 4 years tho
And the price will be 70% off and even thinner!
This is a business tool. I think Apple is HOPING consumers are crazy enough to buy it, but that would be the 3D TV move of VR. It does have some tricks a lot better than HoloLens, but it's basically the same kind of device. Content creation looks like one of its better uses, depending...👁
I’ve sold paintings for more🤷🏾
Thank goodness,Art advocates are also “the crazy ones“! 😎
I thought people forgot the HoloLens even existed! But yes, this is immediately where my mind went to. The screen on the HoloLens 2 isn't as good, as far as memory goes at least from when I got to mess around with one. But this is essentially the same thing, only worse as you MUST be tethered... But if we're talking about it being a competitor to the HoloLens, it does pack a lot more power under the hood. ;)
You used this outside, in a burger joint, I subscribe
Great initial overview vid Ken! Definitely liked how you highlighted some things missed or glossed over by others.
Also really impressed with the DJI cam and wireless lav. What sort of image and audio processing are you applying to the footage. Every time I see the Pocket 3 being used effectively in creative ways it keeps getting higher and higher on my want list.
Missed opertunity with the battery route. They should of gone the same direction as BobaVR with the magnetic replacement batteries. They can actually still do that by making it an option even which I think would be way better. Especially fot the price.
Really great video! This was one of the most informative ones about how it really works regarding things people care about. Thanks!!
Very good review. Well done. (That’s the best I have seen about the product.)😀
Ken Great Video! Question - is there a reason you didn't use voice typing versus virtual keyboard typing while using Vision Pro?
Once the price comes down this *could* start replacing some monitors in corporate America (eventually)
Looks cool Ken!
Super excited for the future!
Having a separate battery pack is a plus in my opinion. Like most things with rechargeable batteries, degraded batteries make the entire device subject to replacement, not always with people who do battery replacements in laptops, but most of the time. They will come up with better solutions for the battery packs.
i think the main reason the videoplaying apps didn't support it yet is due to the scaling of the workspace, and how much virtual compute it may take up
I want to wait a year or two before seriously considering these.
1) want to see if more companies will make apps for it
2) want to see if any early adopters develop any eye issues from wearing it
3) want to see what practical applications arise from using it
4) want to see if the price comes down a bit
5) want to see if any bugs and design issues get worked out
eye issues are a non issue with vr headsets
The app integration is the only concern for me... Eye issues, not an issue for mixed reality headsets like this, unlike the google lens where you were forced to look at one corner, this has information everywhere on the screen, so your eyes constantly move. Many practical applications COULD arise from it, such as all the applications the Microsoft HoloLens is currently being used for (primarily mixed reality simulations, training, visualising blueprints and designs in real time, in the environment they are intended for etc). The price will not likely come down... Again, HoloLens 2 came out 2019 and costs $700 more. It's the closest to this headset I have seen.
@@notnicknamed "eye issues are a non issue with vr headsets
"
Not true. Already there are people complaining that after Vision Pro is strapped to the face for a few hours, it takes time for their eye to re-adjust and re-acclimate to the real world.
I can work for 8 hours in front of a desktop PC monitor. The same cannot be said for AVP.
@@DerekDavis213 you can go look up the studies if youd like.
you being able to work in front of a monitor means nothing. not everyone can
i used my vision pro for nearly 16 hours straight with no problems when i got it, does that mean theres no eye issues in anyone? of course not.
it will vary, i was referencing long term effects.
@@notnicknamed You mean the 'studies' financed by Apple Corp? hah
Not everyone can work in front of a big beautiful monitor? But those people can have this heavy headset strapped to their faces for hours? Come on, let's be real ok?
Do you remember the Inverse Square Law from your science classes? 2 bright screens, just inches from your eyes, cannot be good for you long term. Not at all.
This was by far the best review of the Vision Pro I saw!
I was there when you picked this up it was cool chopping it up with you for a bit
It continues to blow my mind when I see users reach out and interact with their windows with their hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🤯
4:59 That's the future POV of hanging out with friends.
Wait for the slim version
Yes: less weight, better pass through, more than one Mac screen. They do those 3 things and this is a super compelling product. I’m sure it’s already awesome.
I dislike the cable hanging from the Vision Pros. It's a setback in this futuristic era.
@@gadier69 definitely not ideal. They have a lot of tech hurdles to climb. Battery life and weight being the big ones. Not sure how you can do it all with current technology and have a blow you away device. You probably can’t yet, hence the trade offs. It seems like this device is very seamless and doesn’t get people sick. That’s a huge thing to accomplish, now it’s a question of can they do the rest when it doesn’t seem possible right now. Either batteries and chips have to get super small or they need to somehow improve remote technology so all the computing is down outside the headset. But then how do you make that perfectly seamless with great cameras?
@@gadier69 true, apple has a business- based future only, mankind should give up on money-runned society to achieve the best tech straight to the point, like I mean we still use week fast aging batteries and ye by the way Vision pro battery ridiculously around 3000capacity only lol and the size almost an iphone pro max so it should has a 10000capacity
@@Ray-dl5mp You just Ctrl V the HoloLens 2 design. Basically the same device, battery is built in. Worse screen, less powerful chips, slightly worse cameras etc... It is half a decade older though.
I’m super interested in Apple Music on Vision Pro! Could you show us what Apple Music looks like on Vision Pro?
I wish they made a straight to usb charger so you could just plug right into the wall rather than going through the battery even when your in the same spot plugged into the wall.
I kind of wish you tried them on with your glasses, glasses fitment has ALWAYS been an issue for me on VR headsets, well except for the scary priced mixed reality ones (*cough* HoloLens *cough*) that I've been able to kindly ask lecturers to try. Anyway, you look good with contacts. I miss the glasses, but you look good. :)
whoa, eating burger and computing at the same tine without greasing up any screens. This might be the reason to get the vision pro rn.
these look so good, but idk i just don't imagine this is the best setup if you're using it as a monitor
The "dry eyes" is probably more due to you wearing contacts for the first time. If I were to purchase one of these (I'm actually *thinking* about it!) it would be to run iOS apps and to view 3D movies on a giant screen with ambient sound! Did ya' try any 3D movies?
I like it but I’m gonna wait till its cheaper and smaller and refined before i go and purchase one
Can’t wait for the new Samsung Galaxy Spaceship Bixbi Vision Ultrapro 😍
Would beat fit pro work to connect to headset?
No other tech RUclipsrs talking about this yet aside from Denki:
Removable Cable from the External Battery Pack
Lossless Audio Support for Airpods Pro with USB C with Vision Pro
Yeah I was surprised that it was removable, all tech youtubers said that it was non removable lol
I did the demo and they say make sure to not make the band too tight I had mine very lax and it felt super comfy to me but that was a short amount of time
This is like that toy you begged your parents to buy you for Christmas. Then you open it and play with it for like 10 minutes and get bored. 4 months later your mom sells it at a garage sale without you knowing. 3 Months after that you find out and get mad and ask for the $$$ from the sale. Your mom laughs.
Exactly!!!
Timely!! Is without a doubt my favorite album of all time.
I don't get the point of the dial but I like input options
Makes me wonder if they are gonna lower the price for the next gen of it probably not because it has a laptop/ desktop chip it in but it’s really cool and the price very steep but you get Apple Music Apple accessories and just better quality control compared to the quest headsets I own a quest 3 and 2 they mention it can be used for productivity I tried connecting it to my Mac the latency was really bad I might wait for the 2nd gen Apple Vision Pro
What is on the backside of the apps? Like if you walk around them.
I am also still a bit confused. For the prive it can’t replace your mac and even with an mac you cant even use it as secondary screen 😅 so its in the position to replace the i pad pre to be an better ipad…
The tech is entirely new with a premium price tag. It isn't an anything replacement. It is in its own category altogether. XR is headed toward desktop replacement. However, Apple itself is headed toward AR, specifically.
it's a first gen product and we should take it as exactly that. should it find mass market adoption the price will be 1/3 in a couple of years tops. not for me currently, but very curious about it nonetheless.
Head shoulders knees and toes. 0:06
We really need an Apple Vision Mini
Did you drive with it on???
Really cool but I think I’ll wait a year for the Vision SE.
Ore 5 years 😂
I’m waiting for the Apple vision lite 😅
as a person who likes watching sports, I was expecting it would be like being in the stadium immersive experience & not "just" watching a big floating screen with lots of stats on the sides.
That’s basically what it is a floating monitor. They should of made it compatible with PCVR to bring in more support
I think it would be really handy to use with a headless MacBook. You could be working on something out in the world without having to worry about potentially spoiling some future video for a passing subscriber. That or you could bring your own movies for those multi-hour flights/car trips. Although I do wonder about daisy chaining the battery pack to the MacBook while you're out and about.
Bro Thomas’ anthem!😂 had my dying
they don't recommend contacts for the eye tracking and they slightly adjust the picture then the headset sscans the qr code of the lenses they sell
This vision pro just caused another sale for quest 3, as with anything pricey I purchase I do research on You Tube and reviews. I have everything apple but 3500 starting for this was crazy. Maybe if I was in the market for a TV ,a phone, and a Mac I would have purchased this. The vision pro looks fancier but at 3500 it should so for about 800 the Q3 was the right choice for me. My kids wanted a VR for games.
I go into public with my quest. Wish it had LTE so bad
I think this product should monitor how often you blink and tell you to blink if you haven't for a while, or else users will develop myopia or worsen it if they already are myopic.
Can't wait for the next generations of the vision pro, I would gladly replace my phone with this if they optimize the size, battery life, passthrough and app support
You didn’t read don’t use contacts with Vision Pro?
We need aftermarket straps asap
Nice review
Please tell me there is a screen recording of you ordering the food. Lmao!!
Contacts can dry out the eyes as well
I can't wait to watch power slap on this
sharing is caring - gimme that!
It is an excellent device for developers. Expect a lot of apps for this thing in the future.
The Mac Virtual Display just blows the Pro Display XDR and Apple Studio Display out of the water! And it is less expensive.
Your the only one I’ve seen not open the box upside down lol
Really? It's like an iPhone box, but bigger LMAO
Actually, adjusted for inflation, the price of this Vision Pro is about half the price of the original Macintosh in 1984. That's the last time Apple gave us an entirely new way to interface with our computers that was difficult to explain to people who had never seen it.
Yours is the most positive review/introduction I've seen so far. Looks like a lot of fun.
But as a really fancy iPad, I'm thinking the primary use of this device will be media consumption.
It's still price-competitive with a high-end huge-screen TV.
This is so scray, because you now there will be some ppl, that will go into this hard like 24h a day. making them virtual zombies. In a way so scary to have this.
Get this trending to #1. Double Double Vision Pro Review. 😂 That’s a real review and living that yolo “I just spent $3500+ on this!”
iPhone mini is still da goat 🐐
head butting the register to pay would be worth $3500 😅
Watching Ken talk to the camera with Vision Pro felt like some weird dystopian shit.
Not out in Singapore yet, but already scalpers are getting them in and trying to sell them for $4500 haha. No thanks, will get metaquest 3 and wait for apple vision pro slim
What's with the new logo?
New studio, new logo
I dislike the cable hanging from the Vision Pros. It's a setback in this futuristic era.
Yeah could be just me but the quest home environment is way better.
Ken first time in 7 years...dude
Who would’ve thought that Heavy Rain predicted the future.
dam...that burger😍....i don't eat today
Do i need to own an iphome to use this?
Bruh …out in the Public wearing it, you look like them Villain Soldiers Sea Creatures from 1st or 2nd Aquaman Movie lol cheers ! 🙏🏻love your review👍
Could you see sitting next to someone on a plane who is using that thing?
I can actually say I would never buy this. Not because I don’t like tech or because I have something against the brand behind it. Nope, I just can’t justify the price for something that I’ll use occasionally. Meta’s version is more “budget” friendly, but even then I would wait until more competition and more users accept the tech so that prices go down. The only downside is Apple will still find a way to still charge as much for the next generation.
Can’t wait for dragon ball Dokkan battle to be on the headset.
I'm waiting for Google VR Headset:)😅
Watching this video made me crave some In N' Out 🙁
Funnily Apple Vision Pro has about 3100 mah battery lol but it's 38 Wh capacity (so it's pretty massive)
Short answer: No except you are rich
Version 0 of tech like this are meant for enthusiastics until it’s cheap enough to produce to go mainstream. It’s an amazing version 0 though, the amount of patents and engeneering is nuts
rare austin wife sighting at the lunch break section
Nice but a mobile phone does all the same stuff, doesn’t look awkward when out side and phones cost less
Nice starpeggio poster, gib me 🔫
12:35 probably because the airpods will always be in close proximity to the vision pro
Id wait like 10 years get the bugs out lol
They need to sell and attachment so that you and mount the battery pack to the back of your head. This will help distribute the weight and prevent it from being so top heavy.
I'd never trap myself into the Apple ecosystem, personally. That's my main gripe. Otherwise, I would finance it if it were compatible with other devices. As I use the Q3 with my laptop for work. In another universe it would've been a nice upgrade in terms of immersion.
You make your bed, you have to sleep in it 🤣
Dude's haircut is shaped like the Vision Pro storage case
Now that the technology is officially here I cannot wait for the time that will come where they can put all of that technology into a frame that looks nothing more than regular sunglasses like the meta Ray-Bans
Why play Lossless with Airpods pro when it only supports AAC codec and can't play Lossless?
On Vision Pro it supports lossless SPECIFICALLY with the newest SKU of the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C, literally the only reason why I spent time testing it in the video.
www.apple.com/ca/newsroom/2023/09/apple-upgrades-airpods-pro-2nd-generation-with-usb-c-charging/
@@DNKI This just feels like next level gate keeping of features from Apple, Hopefully the support for lossless in airpods trickle down to other apple products as well

The "boys" in Cupertino?
But can you drink coffee from a mug with it on?
Of course this guy eats In and Out for lunch....

The Apple Vision Pro is for people who enjoyed the lockdowns, still miss the lockdowns, and are still masking up when nobody's around.
No kidding about wanting to rub your eyes
I got enthralled with visions Ready Player One 3/d movie
Wanted to scratch my face so bad, but was so enthralled by the movie
Bro cool Vision Pro BUT whats cooler is you listen to KAF … my fav V.W.P members are Harusaruhi and KOKO
