I am 65 now. Jesus Christ the LORD heard my short cry to Him in August 1984, when I was 25 years old and was trying to make a very important decision. To be to the point, my views and priorities changed dramatically right after calling upon Jesus Christ. If I make it to August 2024, I will have been " obsessed by Jesus Christ" for 40 years. I recommend Jesus Christ to everyone. There is nobody and nothing else like Jesus Christ

Isn't that a shortened statement stemming from, question your faith that God has your back. So I guess the way I've always felt is kinda like Abraham, who didn't question his faith that God had his back. I used to feel that way a lot. I'm a single guy, live all alone. In that scenario it's easy to withdrawal from the world and all you can be left with is God. Man I don't want to question that. I feel I can state for a matter of fact that there is a divine creator and it breaks my heart to question that love. If you have no interest in believing in the right god (or not believing in a god if no god exist) then you should indeed not question anything. Personally I can't fool myself like that.

Very, very good lesson today, Joe. I have known both an astrophysicist and a scientist of oceanography. Both are believers and say their faith helps them understand the science in all its complexity. The bombardier beetle is a favorite of mine for another reason. In Job it talks about a fire breaking animal. People says that's not possible, here we go.
What if there was a much larger critter, the size of a horse, perhaps some sort of reptile, that had the same set up as our friend the bombardier beetle? he would easily fit the definition of a fire breathing dragon. Humans would be highly motivated to try to kill all of them, and the ancient legends would make a lot more sense than was previously thought.

I had no idea what Christianity was about. I've always had a critical mind that wouldn't just accept what I was told, I had to know why. In the seventies in college I was told about the Big Bang by a rather excited Professor who proclaimed the Big Bang is proof positive against the Bible. I asked him; "how old is the Universe?" He explained it was "3 Billion years old" (they kept adjusting that figure since). So I asked a simple common sense question: "If all of matter started out the size of a pea and exploded for reasons they don't yet, does it take 3 Billion years to get to an infinite distance". He turned red and accused me of being a Christian. I didn't even know what that was, and asked if the question was unreasonable. I accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart thirty years ago, and never ever want to go back to the way I was. The world lies to you every day.
The thing I bring up to some people to explain to me how it could 'evolve' is the ability of blood to clot. Blood clotting requires so many compounds to be present in blood that if just one doesn't exist it won't happen. If evolution created blood these compounds would have not been present at first and blood would have been very simple... and whenever a creature was cut, bitten or punctured... it would have bled to death and the creature would have gone extinct! When you're bleeding out you don't have time to 'evolve' your blood to stop it!
Only God could create these animals. When you look at a video of all the birds of the world and their sounds, mating dances, BEAUTIFUL CO,ORS, etc. it's in comprehensible to think that evolution caused that. I love all animals and it never ceases to amaze me of the beautiful gifts God made for us to enjoy and take care of!!!
Luckily science is not limited to what I can comprehend. If it was, we would not have satellite navigation (as it needs to take time being relative into account). Amazing your ability to comprehend is so much greater than mine that it can be used to determine what is true instead of relying on evidence.

Charles Darwin was NOT an atheist. He simply can’t be as he was a 33 deg Freemason and they believe in lucifer and to believe in lucifer you have to believe in our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. You can’t believe in one without the other. In fact Darwin didn’t believe his own theory, it was just to throw the masses off from following God.
??? Is that serious? They actually said this? I mean, who else would the designer be then? Lol 😂 an alien culture far advanced from us then? Who got them where they are then lol. That said, I thank our Saviour and Lord for opening my eyes. I surrendered to Him a couple of decades ago and He continues to show me how ancient prophecy is playing out right now. Including the inaccuracies of modern Christian leaders. Keep preaching the truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Trust and obey Him who saves.
Just to clear up a few things. First of all, bombardier beetle is not the only one beetle to use this mixture of chemicals, but it is unique in that it releases it in jets, not mist. A huge number of beetle species also have the same organ structure, despite lacking such an aggressive chemical defense, this structure is actually pretty normal for beetles from carabid family, even if most of them don't "explode". Then these 2 chemicals, hydrogen peroxide is a normal metabolic byproduct in insects, and various quinones are used to harden the cuticle of insects. All kinds of insects therefore secrete these chemicals. As a byproduct, hydroquinone tastes bad to predators and is the chemical that makes stink bugs stink. So, if an insect's cuticle became indented, forming little sacs to store some of this hydroquinone, it would have an advantage over its fellows even if its storage mechanism was not yet very efficient. However, these 2 compounds are not explosive at all when mixed, they just slowly turn brown as they oxidize. The only time they explode is when you add two catalysts, a catalase (common antioxidant enzyme found in all aerobic organisms) to decompose the hydrogen peroxide, and a peroxidase to oxidize the hydroquinones and thereby break them down into the simpler quinones. About "explosion chamber", this chamber has a thick chitin wall with numerous little holes in it through which single-celled glands secrete and deposit the enzymes into the chamber. When beetle becomes excited, a muscle opens up a little door on a hinge. Through this opening the two chemicals are forced into the explosion chamber, where the enzymes make them explode out of the insect's derriere as oxygen, quinone, and water. The door opens into the explosion chamber so that the explosion will force the door shut and not injure the collection bladder. So all the pre-bombardier beetle had to do was direct some of that hydrogen peroxide into its collection bladder, develop a little valve between the collection bladder and vestibule chamber, and finally supply the catalase and peroxidase in the vestibule. Hydrogen peroxide would make the insect more poisonous to eat than it was before. A muscle that pulled the duct between the two chambers open, and relaxed to let it close, would help the beetle be more selective about its poison discharges. Even if this valve structure was crude at first, it would have survival value until the side of the duct attached to the muscle could evolve into a little door. The enzymes would be useful the moment they appeared. Even if the beetle's new firing mechanism could not be aimed all that well or if the chemicals were not being secreted in the best proportions at first, the mechanism would still be useful from the start, and the beetle could refine it in time. Giraffes blood vessels are also evolutionary explained, they're just modified structures that already exist, pressure relieving system that prevents their heads from being overwhelmed when they put their heads below their hearts is pretty well described and understood. They're reinforced, but still the same structure. But while we're on the topic of giraffes, maybe let's talk about the recurrent laryngeal nerve, which, as the name suggests, goes from the brain to the larynx. The problem is this, nerves tend to want to take the shortest route, and most of them do, but this nerve goes under the aortic arch for no reason. It starts in the brain, goes all the way to the heart, and goes back up to the larynx. This weirdness occurs in all land animals, in the giraffe it even more bizarre, in average adult giraffe, this nerve is 4.6m long (for those with a foot fetish, it's about 15ft). If God designed this, he definitely wouldn't be able to get an engineering degree today. And where does this nerve take the shortest route? In fish. Honestly, there are dozens of structures in living organisms that even a 5yo could design better. Lack of understanding how living organisms work and how were created, does not make it untrue. And honestly, attributing these terribly designed structures that are so poorly optimized, like some spaghetti code written by a child that just started to learn to program is a pure insult to God. Why are you trying so hard to insult God?

Hi Joe, I'm an Engineer, it was going into engineering that brought me to God because even the most basic household items didn't come about by accident. Just take a look around your house, everything in your house was once the idea in someone's head. It blows my mind people think the complexity of life came about by accident.
One look at our beautiful universe in all it's majesty is enough to prove to me that there is a creator. It is simply too vast, too complex and too orderly for it to simply have randomly evolved. Evolution is called a theory because it can’t be proved. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics is called a law because it can be proved. And, what does the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics teach us? That order does not come out of chaos. For example, the settling ash from a volcanic eruption will never create a house. Order never comes out of chaos. Old people never revert to babies. Food doesn’t get fresher the longer it sits out. All things break down. They never build up. That’s a law of physics. Evolution has never been, nor will it ever be, anything but a theory.
Well, the atheist will say who designed God then? They think that if God didn't require a designer, then technically neither does our universe. They think science will find a way to explain it. However, I am still a Christian despite this argument. I don't see how an inanimate rock like our earth built itself all well-designed. Obviously, it can't do it so there had to be an intelligent designer.

Back when I was studying Anatomy and Physiology to become a nurse, specifically the Urinary System and the Kidneys. I was so amazed what a fantastic piece of machinery the Kidney was - it's not just about eliminating body wastes by filtering the blood but monitoring the pH and correcting imbalances, maintaining Homeostasis! No other machine part could do what the kidney could do - this was created by Divine design.
Yep, plenty of animals that could not have evolved the way the author of this video thinks evolution is claimed to work. It's kinda stupid argument - obviously the beetle didn't start out with 100 degree heat blasts - but somewhere along the way discovered some chemical mix and kept improving it, other beetles obviously didn't find or got blown up before they could evolve.

Very, very good lesson today, Joe. I have known both an astrophysicist and a scientist of oceanography. Both are believers and say their faith helps them understand the science in all its complexity. The bombardier beetle is a favorite of mine for another reason. In Job it talks about a fire breaking animal. People says that's not possible, here we go.
What if there was a much larger critter, the size of a horse, perhaps some sort of reptile, that had the same set up as our friend the bombardier beetle? he would easily fit the definition of a fire breathing dragon. Humans would be highly motivated to try to kill all of them, and the ancient legends would make a lot more sense than was previously thought.

I had no idea what Christianity was about. I've always had a critical mind that wouldn't just accept what I was told, I had to know why. In the seventies in college I was told about the Big Bang by a rather excited Professor who proclaimed the Big Bang is proof positive against the Bible. I asked him; "how old is the Universe?" He explained it was "3 Billion years old" (they kept adjusting that figure since). So I asked a simple common sense question: "If all of matter started out the size of a pea and exploded for reasons they don't yet, does it take 3 Billion years to get to an infinite distance". He turned red and accused me of being a Christian. I didn't even know what that was, and asked if the question was unreasonable. I accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart thirty years ago, and never ever want to go back to the way I was. The world lies to you every day.

The thing I bring up to some people to explain to me how it could 'evolve' is the ability of blood to clot. Blood clotting requires so many compounds to be present in blood that if just one doesn't exist it won't happen. If evolution created blood these compounds would have not been present at first and blood would have been very simple... and whenever a creature was cut, bitten or punctured... it would have bled to death and the creature would have gone extinct! When you're bleeding out you don't have time to 'evolve' your blood to stop it!

When you look at a video of all the birds of the world and their sounds, mating dances, BEAUTIFUL CO,ORS, etc. it's in comprehensible to think that evolution caused that. Just to clear up a few things.
First of all, bombardier beetle is not the only one beetle to use this mixture of chemicals, but it is unique in that it releases it in jets, not mist. A huge number of beetle species also have the same organ structure, despite lacking such an aggressive chemical defense, this structure is actually pretty normal for beetles from carabid family, even if most of them don't "explode". Then these 2 chemicals, hydrogen peroxide is a normal metabolic byproduct in insects, and various quinones are used to harden the cuticle of insects. All kinds of insects therefore secrete these chemicals. As a byproduct, hydroquinone tastes bad to predators and is the chemical that makes stink bugs stink. So, if an insect's cuticle became indented, forming little sacs to store some of this hydroquinone, it would have an advantage over its fellows even if its storage mechanism was not yet very efficient. However, these 2 compounds are not explosive at all when mixed, they just slowly turn brown as they oxidize. The only time they explode is when you add two catalysts, a catalase (common antioxidant enzyme found in all aerobic organisms) to decompose the hydrogen peroxide, and a peroxidase to oxidize the hydroquinones and thereby break them down into the simpler quinones. About "explosion chamber", this chamber has a thick chitin wall with numerous little holes in it through which single-celled glands secrete and deposit the enzymes into the chamber. When beetle becomes excited, a muscle opens up a little door on a hinge. Through this opening the two chemicals are forced into the explosion chamber, where the enzymes make them explode out of the insect's derriere as oxygen, quinone, and water. The door opens into the explosion chamber so that the explosion will force the door shut and not injure the collection bladder. So all the pre-bombardier beetle had to do was direct some of that hydrogen peroxide into its collection bladder, develop a little valve between the collection bladder and vestibule chamber, and finally supply the catalase and peroxidase in the vestibule. Hydrogen peroxide would make the insect more poisonous to eat than it was before. A muscle that pulled the duct between the two chambers open, and relaxed to let it close, would help the beetle be more selective about its poison discharges. Even if this valve structure was crude at first, it would have survival value until the side of the duct attached to the muscle could evolve into a little door. The enzymes would be useful the moment they appeared. Even if the beetle's new firing mechanism could not be aimed all that well or if the chemicals were not being secreted in the best proportions at first, the mechanism would still be useful from the start, and the beetle could refine it in time.
Giraffes blood vessels are also evolutionary explained, they're just modified structures that already exist, pressure relieving system that prevents their heads from being overwhelmed when they put their heads below their hearts is pretty well described and understood. They're reinforced, but still the same structure. But while we're on the topic of giraffes, maybe let's talk about the recurrent laryngeal nerve, which, as the name suggests, goes from the brain to the larynx. The problem is this, nerves tend to want to take the shortest route, and most of them do, but this nerve goes under the aortic arch for no reason. It starts in the brain, goes all the way to the heart, and goes back up to the larynx. This weirdness occurs in all land animals, in the giraffe it even more bizarre, in average adult giraffe, this nerve is 4.6m long (for those with a foot fetish, it's about 15ft). If God designed this, he definitely wouldn't be able to get an engineering degree today. And where does this nerve take the shortest route? In fish.
Honestly, there are dozens of structures in living organisms that even a 5yo could design better.
Lack of understanding how living organisms work and how were created, does not make it untrue. And honestly, attributing these terribly designed structures that are so poorly optimized, like some spaghetti code written by a child that just started to learn to program is a pure insult to God. Why are you trying so hard to insult God?

Such complex designs can't be in existence out of chance. It makes zero sense
Evolution is called a theory because it can’t be proved. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics is called a law because it can be proved.
And, what does the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics teach us? That order does not come out of chaos.
For example, the settling ash from a volcanic eruption will never create a house.
Order never comes out of chaos. Old people never revert to babies. Food doesn’t get fresher the longer it sits out.
All things break down.
They never build up.
That’s a law of physics.
Evolution has never been, nor will it ever be, anything but a theory.

Well, the atheist will say who designed God then? They think that if God didn't require a designer, then technically neither does our universe. They think science will find a way to explain it. However, I am still a Christian despite this argument. I don't see how an inanimate rock like our earth built itself all well-designed. Obviously, it can't do it so there had to be an intelligent designer.

Many amazing creatures in God's Kingdom. Some bugs don't have rocket butts, some spray vinegar, or glow in the dark, or make impossibly loud noises for such a tiny thing and every one is just as complex and precise as the last!

Back when I was studying Anatomy and Physiology to become a nurse, specifically the Urinary System and the Kidneys. I was so amazed what a fantastic piece of machinery the Kidney was - it's not just about eliminating body wastes by filtering the blood but monitoring the pH and correcting imbalances, maintaining Homeostasis! No other machine part could do what the kidney could do - this was created by Divine design.

It's kinda stupid argument - obviously the beetle didn't start out with 100 degree heat blasts - but somewhere along the way discovered some chemical mix and kept improving it, other beetles obviously didn't find or got blown up before they could evolve.
