Sorry you had to deal with that quack of a doctor and glad you don't take no for an answer and fight for what you want. Hope everything works out with this chair
Hi there! So I didn’t want retracting ones (I did see them in the store) cause I wanted to be able to shift the chair as needed when transferring back into it after the drive. Having these stationary ones helps me accomplish that with the least amount of time spent
As a quadriplegic in wheelchair user of more years than I care to admit , I get amused as much as I do annoyed at “professionals” that think they know more about my needs than I do.
Nice wheels lass. The finish on the hand rails, can the manufactures polish it, before you receive it? Or a quick run over with sand paper, to your desired finish? Love from Scotland 💗💗💗
@@LolitaMilena If you ever are free, it be awesome to hangout and catch up, I can't drive though, for the time being. Also, send me pictures of the space and dimensions, I could probably figure something out for packing wise. I've gotten pretty good with my hands.👉👌👩🔧👩🌾🤹♀
sorry to hear about that dr being such a d*^%. Im really glad to see that you got the nitrum. Its an awesome chair. I got to demo one along wit a ki mobility rogue. I ended up going back to tilite and getting an aero t, along with a smart drive. Im hoping for it to arrive monday july 29th. keep on rollin!
I've often thought that your wheelchair looked really big and bulky over the chairs of a lot of people with similar build as you. I just suspected that it had to do with the way your back was and your need for extra back support, but still, I was baffled by the width of the seat. Awesome to see you in a smaller, and what I assume is a better fitting wheelchair. That electric lock plate under the seat in your van, I believe those only work with power chairs, I've never seen an EX Lock pin on a manual chair. My brother works for Mobility Works, I'm going to ask if he's ever seen it. He's only been there for a couple years, if that. Anyway, congrats on the new chair.
Why do i get the impression that physical therapist gets a commission & was trying to upsell you like a car salesman? 🤔You know, you should really upgrade to the 'x model'. Standard cruise control, 8 speaker sound system, heated seat & rich Corinthian leather.😏
It sure felt like it. Even talking to my wheelchair rep about the therapist, he couldnt reallt pinpoint why he acted the way he did. His theory was that the therapist wanted to feel like he gave good medical suggestions and was able to contribute in some way
I have a t light wheelchair and a Vera light cushion my chair is around 16-17 pounds . Your new chair looks like a lot better fit. ❤❤ & If you take off only the right wheel and wheelie bar you should be able to put the chair directly behind the driver seat. Might be a lot easier for people to help you get the chair into the car.
I use electric wheelchair I also have bad hips I do need armrests and need handle bars when I use a manual chair because I need help and thats ok as well I accessable car 😊 and my dad's good at loading as my core strength isn't good you do well and so do I my manual chair is in the shed
Congratulations on getting your new wheelchair and also may want to check with Gem Hubbard's RUclips channel that she's a wheelchair user like yourself and she also gives advice for wheelchair users.

I'm so happy for you!
I’m sure it not what your talking about. But they do make Retractable Ratchet Tie Down Straps to make things easier. Also new chair looks cool

I don't always remember, progress also goes for wheelchairs. What further improvements and refinements will they gain as time goes by?
I hope they can find a better axle weight balance for manual chairs
I just got my first power chair about a month ago!

I’m not entirely sure. Left them a message hope to hear back
Yeah, the handle bars are obsolete , you don't need them for your bookbag like back in high school anymore.
😂 my new tote just barely fits

@@rickrodgers7805 I got to try out the rogue 2 and loved it but didn’t qualify
@@LolitaMilena that sucks that you qualified for the quickie and not the ki rogue 2

Nope most of the old design was simply because they never provided options😂 the back yes was after my skin graft

I just have to learn which method in me lifting the chair works best for me and my personal core strength now 💞
@@LolitaMilena I wish we could talk more.
Do you have a local wheelchair baseball team ? They have the best chairs. If so I would hit them up. Plus it's a little odd , with you're footplate.
