S1 | GWR | 802 101 Newton Abbot to Exeter St Davids

My wife and I boarded at Torquay with the intention of changing at Newton Abbot for our train home, but we decided to stay on to Exeter St Davids where we could also change. Join us as we journey across the beautiful English Riviera and into Exeter, on board an ultra Modern IET high Speed train.

Most people don't notice what a giant step forward the introduction of class(es) 800-804 is. GWR, TPE, LNER and so forth have all introduced this train. Britain has no high speed railway network and I doubt she'll ever have one (although i haven't given up hope yet! 😊). So, everything possible must be done to at least improve the conventional InterCity network and this train is simply perfect to do that. I love it.

There is a short stretch of High Speed lines in Kent. Compared to other European countries the speed isn't as fast as their high speed lines, but it's still high speed nonetheless :-).
The new class 80X are indeed a step in the right direction
