Thanks Nick. Is there a reason why the COT report charts seem to convey an almost perfectly inverse relationship between commercial and non-commercial commitments?
Commercial investors are simply hedging the movements of the markets (and don't care much about direction), while non commercial investors are usually the ones driving prices up or down.

I hear a lot people saying “cut losses short” but how do I know if a trade is a loss or just a bit of a uncertainty in the market?

Unless it broke structure and the chance of it hitting your SL increases then you can exit

The most complicated explanation and "Run Around" explanation. Thanks but No thanks. I listened to Transparentfx and his COT Reports are clear and precise and he even uses them on his Market breakdowns every single time for Forex. Literally EVERY time and explains it every time.
The COT report is not for your average trader, it's for Longterm investors. Because when you look at them, going back months or years, you will notice that the non commercial side makes money for about 4-5 months straight, then they start losing money for the next 4-5 months while the commercial side starts money for the next 4-5 months straight. I dont believe that traders who use these reports look at them going back months or years, they would see this clear as day. For instance, in 2022, if you look at Gold on the monthly timeframe, the Commercial side has been shorting it and making hand over fist since April to now August, while the non-commercial side has been bullish on it and losing money for the past 5 months straight. These reports are completely useless to your average traders.
find time to view ANTON KREIL and he speaks volumes about the difference of retail trading and institutional trading and how to earn money.
Too late for trading decisions, and the big boys use dark pools of liquidity. Not sure that shows up in COT.
