I have to re-listen to this often, so don't ever remove it. Please. Today I held on WAY too long and lost my whole weeks plus, because of it. Thanks Coach.
I trade cash only and I have a relatively small account, so I definitely struggle with getting out of losing trades because I can't stand the thought of tying up capital for 2 or 3 days on what turns out to be a losing trade. So the hope is that the stock will rebound, but naturally when it doesn't I end up losing even more on the trade. I need to get out of that mindset! Thanks for the insight!🙂
I would really like an updated dive into how you decide to cut your losses based off candlesticks and chart data whatever you use to know when ok this isn't just normal fluctuation this is actually the time to dump the stock. I have learned most of my day trading strategy from you and that's what I feel is the biggest hole in my game even after watching all of your videos related to cutting losses. Specific when and why would be extremely helpful
Your idea to sell half of your position the instant the trade goes negative has been beneficial for me. It basically eliminates any chance of a big loser. But still keeps you in the trade if things turn around and the price shoots off. Thanks for that.
Thanks Ross, You are the best, ruthlessly cutting the losers and holding on to winners, The Holy Grail of Trading,😊 Thank you again for everything you do!!!
Hi Ross I find myself very often holding profit too long to make it eventually a loss. Even worse I hold losers long to make it an even bigger loser. I have a hit rate above 50%. Thank you for the episode🎉
I've always learned a lot from Ross' videos, BUT, I wish he would say, more often: "I made 15¢ on that trade" instead of saying "I made $32,000.00 on that trade". This would be so much easier to identify with for the average viewer.
Great lesson thank you my question is.. what is ctrl Z do is it flatten now, sell at mkt sell at ask? trying to understand the best choice to dump when you see it stalling or may turn south to keep losses small?
Im still paper trading. Yesterday I had my first dark red day. I made 1000 dollars into 7000 (by trading futures) within the week. So yesterday I blew my trades by just doing what you are talking about here: holding the losers in hoping it will go up again. Thanks for this eye opening video!
I’m not sure why I haven’t subscribed sooner bro, but all your videos make sense . Im a breakeven trader trading 1:2 , at 30 % win rate . See my pro is I tried cutting my losses short twice just to watch it never hit my stop loss and go right into profit . When I attempted this I had drawn 50 % of my stop loss where if it retraced that far back I’d get out. Just didn’t feel good watching it go right in profit . Any idea on this please ?
How about stop losses when shares of a $10 stock at 2 cent stop is relevant to a stock of $500 of $20 cent stop ? Can you elaborate because if I'm in a good position why not have just a 2 cent trailing stop from the begining of my position risk 2 to win 20?
@@DaytradeWarrior hey the reality for me is that the gains are really quite small :/ in terms of time. swing trade has made me more money and $15 per hour even pays more than day trading. thats even if u trade with a 10k account
Question- what about when you get a nasty long red engulfing candle flush. what do you do about that? This is what kills me when I’m trading and I don’t set a stop loss.
When you run a hot key on a bid is that considering a market buy order? Dont you get get filled in a bad spot on market orders if its limit how do you set a price in time ?
The real question is when a trade becomes a loser and at what point do you realize and admit that? Many times by the time I realize it is losing and not just a bit of pulling back it is already late. So how do you know WHEN to pull the trigger?
Love the background music at the beginning.Who is it? It almost sounds like Richard Thompson doing an acoustic intro to 1952 Vincent black lightning. Oh. Excellent video 👍 I could really use a good video on scaling too. ✌️☮️
I would say trading small (20% and less) until your a pro, solves many problems like controlling the fear of losing n it keeps any losses low as well, even if your not a good loser yet. 🎉🎉🎉
Also one thing I find what makes my mentality even worse is that I’m trading a small cash account. You know that means my bullet could only be used tomorrow if I only make it a break even trade.😢

Ross determines his share size based on his risk tolerance and stop loss on the trade. If Ross decides not to risk more than $1000 on any given trade, and he determines that he wants to buy a stock at $5, he might place his stop at $4.80. This means that he has a $0.20 stop. With his $1000 risk in mind, this would allow Ross to buy up to 5000 shares. Every trader's risk management will look different, though a general rule is that traders should risk no more than 1% of their account on a trade.

Fantastic!
How do you get in and out so quick ? you mentioned you are using hot keys ? how do you enter position seize ? thank you for an answer
Ross has his hotkeys set to 3000 shares, he will just hit that hotkey multiple times to get to his full position size.
Thanks for all the information!
I have a question what kind of order is the best to get out of the trade quick to cut losses

Ross focuses on managing his risk and make sure he is getting out where he planned before entering the trade.
question my broker have the option to close market and limir order wich one do recomend me to close better ?
Enyol, Ross uses limit orders when he trades, you can learn more here: www.warriortrading.com/day-trading/
which campany can i start trading with
Hey so is there really and sweet time for trading? Or is it optional for the morning ,afternoon, midnight?
The optimal time depends entirely on your strategy. Ross's strategy works extremely well in the premarket.
When you run a hot key on a bid is that considering a market buy order? Dont you get get filled in a bad spot on market orders if its limit how do you set a price in time ?
Ross will offset the order with a limit price .05 cents below the bid, this will make sure he doesn't a super bad fill.
The real question is when a trade becomes a loser and at what point do you realize and admit that? Many times by the time I realize it is losing and not just a bit of pulling back it is already late. So how do you know WHEN to pull the trigger?
