Thanks for this - I just installed a Trial of Cubase Pro 13 and couldn't find anywhere how to launch it! Watching your video educated me that I should have accepted the default location (which I didn't) and that's why I couldn't find the program! Cheers :)

picked up a little tip here with the downloading of the extra plug ins after i had already successfully downloaded the cubase elements 13 trial. i thought to download the extra plug ins i needed to enter my download access code again, after scratching my head where to find it without success, turns out i just needed to hit elements 13 icon and hey there they were ready to download. thanks for that, frustration over until the next brick wall appears
HI There! Thanks a lot for this video. I have a question : I decided to buy the upgrade to Cubase 13 so I enter my Activation code in the Download Access Code bar. Since I had installed the trial version, do I have to re install all now that I have enter my Activation code ?
hi nathalie,, thanks for the question,,, short answer is no,,, but,,, If it does what it did for me when I purchased the upgrade,,, I did have to go to the activation manager,,(that is a separate program now) deactivate my trial, and press activate for the full version,,, no additional installation steps were required,,, all the best... andrew
Hi - i dont understand why you didnt have to put in an activation code anywhere?
How long did the download/install process take you? On my PC (brand new, clean machine, Windows 11 and 32Gb RAM it's been running for over 6 hours and still nowhere near done. Also, Steinberg seem to have no support at all. The phone number they give is a recording which hangs up on you. Have you any experience with their support? Great video by the way
hi,, that seems extreme for the download. Your system seems like it should be up to the task,, how is your internet connection?,, have you tried at different times of the day?
I'm still waiting a reasonable amount of time for the version to settle. I am not a big fan of installing newly released software. I did it with Cubase 12 and I found the disappearance of Prologue, which was a synth that I used frequently and I really liked. All in all, I have to see from what you have posted if I could reinstall Cubase Once to export all the material I have with the old synthesizers to stems.
I also miss (it may be because as a guitarist I was enthusiastic about it) the virtual guitarrist, with which I also put together more than one song that now I cannot play in Cubase to remix.

I hear you Federico,, I was not going to upgrade for a while yet,,, program instability kind of moved me a bit looking for a solution,,,,
Interesting that Prologue isnt in there. There must be a way to copy the .dll file from your older cubase version and just paste it into your plugins folder and still use it. All cubase versions are backward compatible. I think you can do that will most all plugins thats why they have different folders for the different vst versions.

Question: Suppose i install everything like you did here and want to un-install the whole lot; is there an easy 'un-install' anywhere in the Steinber Download Assistant? I don't see it; only see 'install again'... Thanks!
hi hett,,, I dont believe there is any uninstall option in the downloader,,, I would use typical uninstall options for that... andrew

You would think that Steinberg would have come up with a better Software Management Tool. Ie, like Spectrasonics , ToonTracks etc ..
thanks for your input ric,,, my thoughts on Steinberg and Cubase in general are, there are things I totally love and there are some things I can't understand why they are the way they are.....

It is free to try! What do you mean? Do you mean use a pirated version? Lol,,,good luck with that! V12 is cracked and out. Use that. All of us who are willing to pay will be enjoying v13 which is less buggy, more stable and has the better content.
I hate this program, it's horrible and complete shite.
